Looks interesting. If they add any new features to it, I'm sold. For now, I'll just stick with my old one, thank you very much. What do I want? Perhaps more interactivity with the town (ie. new events and whatnot) Also, I would enjoy it if we could catch something other than just bugs and fish (have new hobbies) What will replace them? I haven't the slightest idea...
The new graphics are great. I like the taller, leaner human characters (one animal, a bear, looked taller too). Also, noticed there is a bench outside in one picture. Awesome. Hopefully that means you can put some items outside (or get more town upgrades?). It looks like the human characters have skirts/pants this time too. Maybe.
Yes, there are reused items & animals in the pics, so its not as radically redesigned as I might have hoped, BUT I do like the new graphics & it looks like there will be some new features too! Man, I hope Nintendo gives us more info on it soon!
I am def. going to get a 3DS and Animal Crossing 3DS. Can't wait! I wish we knew when it was coming out & how much it'll be.

A new Animal Crossing is among the titles that Nintendo are working on for the 3DS.
Details are scarce at the moment but we can confirm that you'll be playing as the mayor of your town. With the help of the townsfolk and 'one eager secretary' it'll be your job to make the town a better place to live.
We'll have more news when we get it but for now, feast your eyes on these screens! Looks great, no?
New Online Features like a worldwide lobby to exchange and interact with other players.
PLEASE NO MORE FRIEND CODES!!!! A worldwide lobby would be great but nintendo wouldn't risk some 12 year old hearing something PG-13, But I'm still hoping! and a return of the nes games from AC GCN would be great, but now there's a VC the chance is unlikely!

I'll wait to see if they add anything new as time goes by. The demo at E3 wasn't even playable, so I'll assume (and hope) that all features haven't actually been revealed yet.

I too will wait to see if Animal Crossing is new and improved. I loved the Wii version, but hated the DS version. It's probably the one game that would make or break my decision to get a 3DS.

I'm very excited for Animal Crossing 3DS. The pictures look great, but the info about being the mayor of the town is even better. I think its going to add a lot to the game having the player be the mayor. It gives the player a job (wonder what other humans in the town will do?) and I'm sure it'll lead to new interactions with the town & the animals.
I've liked all of the games, from the Cube to City Folk (although City Folk has turned out to be the weakest verison, imo).
I don't like the "new look".. They made the series with the previous one. For the features.. anything is good but I want them to REMOVE that stupid grass system that was in City Folk

It was actually the opposite for me... Between the Wii version's grass killing "feature" and the DS version being portable- The DS game won out.

Like you read my mind. Especially during CHRISSYMAS!
Wow, a worldwide lobby for AC3DS would be amazing. I really loved the DS version even though I didn't ever play it online. Better online integration would be a huge plus.
Only played the DS version, and god what a pain it was. I just couldn't bother to put the game on, after 1 week. But once you did you would play for like 2-3 hours of pointless crap.
The game overall is just too boring in my opinion. The DS version could get away with it through being a portable, pretty good looking animal crossing game. But the 3DS version really needs to be on a different level, in order to actually be anything worth it.
Here are some things that I want to see improved:
-friend codes ( horrible system ) But i dont see this getting changed, they rather "upgrade the idea" which worry's me. ( I vote for a decent online system, and removal of this crap ) Love to see account based stuff, but I wont aspect that much logic from Nintendo.
Online system ( simple flash games like farmvile kind of overtook animal crossing / harvest moon, through better online system ) which makes the games highly addictive for casuals, and challenging. Fun part is you can actually check eachothers farms etc. Animal crossing needs to take a example of this.
-boring you just can’t do much. It’s fun for 1 week, but after that it’s just not worth it anymore to put it on. Thought lack of content / challenges.
implant professions / jobs etc., (few examples further down the line)
implant an action house (which got shared with European gamers if not all over the world) so you can make trades “cheaper” to progress further with your own profession or job whatever.
make online events, where you can subscribe for in-game. That you can do competitions through fishing or whatever every month or anything (make something up here). So the game becomes more appealing. Where you can win something useful.
be able to make country's ( which means ) a online ability to connect multiple city's with each other ( different players ) and compete with crafts or collections with other country's every 3 months.
throw some farming option in it. that you can tailor your own farm ( 1 of the 10 professions or something ).
throw in some magic profession where you can make pots that make you create special things or create a boomstick ( wow ) something like that.
I want to see a city, where you can talk to other people, do mini games with them, or invited them back to your place etc. so he can help you out with stuff etc.
etc. etc.
I want see this game getting pulled towards its next level, not a simple little tiny majoy update with 3 more of those items and 3 more of those items.
It needs to be brought to the next level, and this means if the 3DS has good online capability’s ( Nintendo states its pretty much the most powerfull feature it has ) it should be using it. On a way further level then it’s used now.
Only if this stuff is implanted or a complete makeover of the game I will buy it otherwise, I will just wait a half year before it hit the budget shell.
It’s fun for 1 week, but after that it’s just not worth it anymore to put it on.
Are you kidding? I played the game regularly for months after I got it, and continued to play it semi-regularly for nearly a year after that. I still pick it up occasionally to this day.

what kept you playing then? there is litterly nothing to do.

Well, for one thing you pretty much need to play for a year to experience everything in the game. Fish, bugs, weather, and just the look in general of the game change as the seasons go by. Filling up the mueseum is very satisfying, and if course there's all your loans to pay off. New items are in Tom Nook's store every day. There's fun little holiday/festival things quite often. Talking with neighbors is always fun. Some of them you'll like, some you won't.
That's some stuff to do.
