Topic: 3ds XL on Amazon (Need Opinions)

I've been wanting to get a 3ds XL because of the upcoming Pokemon X and Y games. Im most likely going to get a 3ds XL during Christmas, but I need help from those who have used Amazon before.

Do you guys think that the Black 3ds XL will be available on Amazon by Christmas? So far I have not even found any Black 3ds XL's on Amazon at all.

Or do you guys think I should wait IF a Pokemon 3ds XL limited edition bundle comes out? I think there was a rumor about it coming out, what are the chances of that being put up on Amazon? And im pretty sure that the limited edition would be pricey on Amazon once they are sold out, but what price point do you guys think people would sell them for on Amazon?

Wait for the limited edition 3DS XL to be announced. I'm certain it will come out with how high-profile Pokemon is around the world, and with it already being sold out in Japan. Not releasing it would be like throwing away money for Nintendo.

Don't Amazon and Nintendo have a pretty bad relationship? I don't think Amazon actually stocks any of Nintendo's systems right now. Everything is sold by Amazon's partners, not Amazon themselves. They just fullfill orders. It's why the prices aren't all that great.

You might want to look at somewhere besides Amazon. There probably will be a Pokemon bundle, too. Just not on Amazon (when it comes to actually being them, anyway).

I don't think it's a bad relationship since they are selling all Nintendo software perfectly fine, but there is a problem with Nintendo hardware and Amazon. You can't buy the hardware in the best price in Amazon unfortunately.

Yeah if you are in the US I wouldn't go to Amazon for a Nintendo system. Because of the 3DS price drop a few years ago Amazon and Nintendo haven't been on the best terms. You will be better off going to somewhere like Bestbuy.com or Walmart.com and ordering a 3DS from them. The 3DSes sold on Amazon are all sold by third parties which mean they are free to set the price how they want so very really will you find one for the normal price of $199.99 where as if you go somewhere else like Bestbuy.com you will.

But than again its your money.

Just get the Blue 3DS XL; it seems to be the most popular one.
Plus, these Limited Edition consoles tend to be a bit pricey.

I would wait for the Limited Edition Pokemon 3DS XL - you could buy 2 and sell one on eBay to pay for the first one! If you can get them in retail stores you can resell em for 1.5x or more original purchase price - it is that crazy!

They're only expensive because they're not being manufactured any more. I think the Pikachu one on Amazon was £170 when it first released.

I do agree that The limited edition XL's are pricey, but i'm only going to get one XL, might as well get one that looks amazing and one that i won't regret later on.

I guess i did make this topic a bit too early. If there is a X and Y limited edition XL I'm running for it! Otherwise, time will tell what bundles will come out.

Amazon will probably start out selling those Limited edition pokemon 3ds for suggested retail price but who knows when that will be released. I would think sometime around the release of Pokemon X and Y. I order from Amazon almost all the time 90% of my 3DS games came from there. But, As far as the Black XL being available at Christmas I have no clue. It should be it's the best time of year for retail sales.

I myself picked up a NEW Red/Black 3DS XL back in February off of Amazon. It wasn't Amazon themselves rather a third party seller, but I got the system for $190 shipped and saving ten bucks made up for the waiting game. Now will the all Black be available at Christmas?? Well I don't know you may have to go with a 3rd party seller, which worked out fine for me, so you may just have to wait and see.

If you want something one-of-a-kind, why not get a skin for it?
With my Skyward Sword skin and clear case combination, it just looks like a special ed. 3DS XL.

However, it's your money - and I suppose it's a mentality thing as well. (knowing that your console is an actual ltd ed).

You would never know it was a skin, unless you came over, held it and examined it.
