I found absolutely nothing on Nintendo's website about this.

If this is true I might just up and sell the games I spent maybe $50 on.

Come on, Game Gear!

Will we see NES games too?

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Can't wait until I'll be able to post something like this in NL weekly download article:

"All of the 3DS VC titles looks really good this week. I think I will get em' all"!

One problem is how much storage each VC game will use. The 3DS will probably have less storage space than the Wii (although this is probably why they include an SD slot).

I don't mind if the systems storage space is low it keeps costs down. We can get SD cards rather cheap now so no big deal.

We won't be getting console games any time soon, unless they're re-releasing the Classic NES Series.

I was wondering why Nintendo didn't release gameboy games for the dsi and dsiXL untill today.
This is something that I didn't expect, and I am very glad they are doing this!

It has 1.5GB of internal storage, the Wii has 512MB, the DSi has 256MB. A large gameboy game is 8MB but more typical ones were less than 1MB. GBA games are something like 20MB (I think). So thats ~75 GBA games or between 200 and 3000+ GB games. I don't think storage will be an issue for VC games. 3DSWare maybe and definitely 3D movies, photos etc... but not VC.

One concern is that GameStop still sells GBA games. They'd have to stop taking GBA games once the 3DS comes out.

I already have too many equivalents of classic Game Boy games. Why should I get inferior Game Boy Classic games?

Bring on the Game Gear!

I hope they have Game Gear games too. It'd be great to play Triple Trouble (the only 8 bit Sonic game that wasn't released on the Master system, so I can't get it on the Wii VC), without having to dig out my Game Gear.

@Starfox
Gamestop usually doesn't sell games more than one generation behind anyways. You don't see regular GB games or N64 games there anymore either.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

Of course no GB or N64 games. It's just that who's going to download GBA games when they can simply buy them at Gamestop?

The "better" GBA games are harder to find. Plus most Gamestops have a pretty bad collection of GBA games (or at least, my Gamestop does).

@ StarFox I believe that people would rather download them instead of buying the cartridges anyway due to easy of transport and accessibility. I however will end up downloading games that I already have in cartridge form, such as Metroid Zero Mission, Fusion and 2 (fingers crossed) and a number of Zelda games among others.

This week, I 'ave been mostly...IV breeding.
