Topic: 3DS VC Confirmed! Go nuts about the possibilites here!

So, according to this article, the 3DS will include a handheld Virtual Console (GB and GBA), whose games will apparently all be 3D enhanced. So far the only two titles announced are The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Super Mario Land, but just imagine the possibilities! No, really, do it. Now.

Come on Metroid II: The Return of Samus, Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission!

I'd love it if return of Samus was added to the 3DS VC! I'd also like to replace my Zelda Oracle of seasons game.
I lost it a few years back and hated myself ever since. I wonder how the 3-D thing is going to work with gameboy games though?
they were just fine before all this 3-D craze.

I'd like to see some Tetris blocks falling away from my face as they continue down the screen.

Link's Awakening ... in 3D? This, my friends, is why Nintendo is, and shall remain, the worlds most awesome video game company in the world.

I'd also like for Sega Game Gear and Neo Geo Pocket Color support to be added to the service at some point.

I thought the announcement was for Virtual Console GB and GBA games, as well as 3-d enhanced "classic games", implying the GB games would NOT be 3-D, as Nintendo prefers to keep VC games exactly as they were?

3D Tetris could be a bit distracting if done poorly. If they just gave the sprites a bit of depth or pushed the play field like....

blue = above screen
red = into screen
normal = on screen

personally I am not as interested in 3D versions of 2D puzzlers. Much more interested in being able to play Donkey Kong Land again with background sprites being pushed into the background.

@WaltzElf obviously people care more about stuffs when its confirmed. Speculation is fun but its still always just speculation. When stuff is confirmed you can speculate much further

I wonder if Virtual Boy games would be possible. The system may have been bad but it still had some good games, like Wario Land.

Yeah I think many people, including myself, misinterpreted the part about the 3D VC games. It's likely to just be specific "classic" games made available in 3D for the VC store, whereas GB/GBA games will just be released "as is" on the service.

I enjoyed Mario Clash as well.

As far as GB games go I would like to see SML2 Six Golden Coins.

i still think releasing older games 'enhanced' for 3D is gimmicky, and if i'm going to pick one up, it'd have to be a game i would've wanted to purchase even without the 3D enhancement.

1 game I'd like to get (to see how 3D would work), is probably...... any of the good pseudo-3D GBA games and possibly Pokemon or Super Mario Advance 2: Yoshi's Island.

Gimmicky it may be, but it's better than making money off selling games with no modifications to people who already bought them on the original system.

Still, very excited about VH. Always wanted to play Link's Awakening.

I wonder if they'll do the DX version of Link's Awakening. Hopefully they don't release multiple versions and charge a premium for 3D/GBC versions.

Apparently from the pic I saw, it will be the DX version. The original b&w version also has its charms too (such as the warp screen cheat/glitch).

I'm just excited because I didn't experience most of these games when they were originally out, since I had no knowledge of what was good during GBA days (I was young plus I didn't have any GB games).
