Topic: 3ds speaker differences

I am not 100 percent sure what the colors is called but I have one of the green early released 3ds's, my girlfriend on the other hand has the later released purple one. Regardless of what sound setting I use.(surround or stereo) hers is nearly twice as loud, is it possible mine has bad speakers or a minor difference in the later model and newer release model. Other difference's I have noticed between the two is that the volume and wifi on and off sliders on mine (green) are painted to match and on hers they are colored plastic,also the upper shells of the green ones are much shiner in comparison to the purple ones. These little details have lead me to believe it might be another model difference although I'm not sure

I've never heard of a green colored 3DS in the US at least. The only other thing I can think of is the green colored DS and if thats the case then yes the DS speakers are tons louder than 3DS speakers.

It was the release color they don't sell them anymore.

It wasn't a US release color than. Cause the only colors that the 3DS had in US on release was Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black.

Maybe you are color blind and its the blue one you have?

Nope not color blind. But it is the aqua blue one.

Funny how nintendo named it that way when with the exception of the bottom of the system its a more green than blue.

Either way I'm more curious about the speaker differences than the color

I know regular 3DS speakers are louders than XL's because in order to increase screen size by 90% without actually increasing the actual size of the console that much something had to give and the compromise was smaller speakers but haven't heard of differences between regular 3DS models

yes the 3DS you are speaking of are indeed Aqua blue Never realised that the speaker are louder on the later 3DS models.

How dare you not know the difference between aqua and green, good sir. I hope more people pound away at this mistake and ignore your actual question, even after it has already been pointed out and you yourself have confirmed it was the aqua blue one that you were talking about. You deserve to have more people completely miss the point and remind you repeatedly that it is not green. And you certainly don't deserve to have your actual question answered.

By the way, I'd answer it if I knew. I've only played with the original 3DSes myself--the Cosmo Black and Aqua ones.

LOL Green= Aqua Blue.. way different XD But I don't really see the difference. Maybe it's just your hearing or your environment that affects the sound of your system? Try setting it at Stereo or Mono if not.

I could see if maybe it was called Aqua Green but its called Aqua Blue.

it looks green to me(at least the upper part....) but it doesn't matter it's an awesome color!!!

Of course Aqua literally means water and while water is usually thought of as blue in reality it is more often a drab greenish colour. And the 3DS is certainly louder than the XL model but to my ears the XL speakers do sound a bit "better".

Sometimes water is a brownish color also. Not too mention add yellow
To blue and you have green. Reminds me of my teal gameboy color honestly,which is a bluish green.

honestly the difference in sound is clearly audible my girlfriend won't use mine because the speakers suck so badly... and seems like there is no information about it anywhere (I will google stuff long before asking forums). Also I have tried the changing stereo/surround/mono it still doesn't come anywhere as loud as hers and they are both the normal 3ds not xl

What games? Did you have the same game? I have a launch 3DS and it seems loud enough...like, seriously...I get complaints from my family that they can hear my game from another room. xD
Anyways I think some games can be louder than others.

My speakers may be messed up then because hers is loud like that. Doesn't matter what game it is legend of Zelda oot,fire emblem a. , supermario 3d land, most recently black two and white two which we compared side by side as it's the only game we have two copies of.

I wonder if TC''s hearing is as bad as his eyesight...
