We're getting a lot of new games, I see nothing wrong with a few more remakes over the lifespan of the 3DS. Really people, I think some of you are over-reacting to just a few remakes. Companies have made remakes for years, if they sell, all they do is make the company more money to invest in new games.
The only remake I'm actually interested in is Zelda: Majora's Mask, though. It's basically remade already since it uses the models from Ocarina of Time, they could do it in their sleep. But I don't care if they want to remake a few more. Games like SSB, Mario Kart, and other similar titles however should just get new entries since there's not that much difference between the games, sorry...
I have most of the older consoles, including SNES, 64, GC; however, they are a pain to hook up to the television and quite frankly, I prefer handheld gaming...soooooo much more convenient.
Bring on the remakes!
I want Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion (I am aware they are developing a sequel), DK 64, Eternal Darkness, Paper Mario, Thousand Year Door, Wind Waker, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, a PROPER remake of Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Pokemon Snap, Beyond Good and Evil and similar titles. I doubt these would happen, except in my wildest, wildest fantasies!
I would do unspeakable things for these to be remade.......

As much as I like remakes, I want to see new releases rather than more remakes. Remakes are great for testing out new hardware but fans will get bored of seeing the same games getting re-released over and over (Rayman 2 anyone)

Tales of Phantasia as it was released on the GBA in the west but I'd rather not get that version because of it being such a bad version of the game. I wouldn't want all of these on the 3DS as then there would be more remakes than orignal game son the console but any of the games out of those would be nice.

Yes, those versions look a lot better. It seems like you might be implying that that game shouldn't be remade again because of those versions but I can't tell if you are or not but if you are, the reason why so many of the games I mentioned are games on non-nintendo consoles is because I only own Nintendo consoles but I think I've mentioned that to you before anyway.

super metroid! or at least a 2d sidescoling metroid! remake of megaman 1 or 2 would be fun if it was like metroid primw where u only see megamans gun. that would be epic!

I loved the GBA version so I can only imagine how awesome a good port of the game would be. they should keep the SNES music like in Chrono Trigger DS, you cannot improve that soundtrack

Not that this is the only flaw I've heard about it but didn't you find it hard to take the story seriously with such bad translations like the infamous example of what was supposed to be translated to Ragnarok being translated to kangaroo?
