Re: Looksley's Line Up

winter123

I think you need an evenly lit room... windows on all sides. Downstairs in a newly painted room it was working almost perfectly for hours. I have been trying for 20 minutes to get it to consistently work in my own room with only windows on 2 sides, lights that are bright but only light up part of the room... can't get it to work... it just seems overly picky.

CAMERA SOLUTION (?): I found holding the DSi flat and taking the picture of your face with the cieling in the background works. Because if there's something like a picture frame or even bright light in the background it thinks it's your face when you tilt.

This is a very fun and addictive game, and it's cool how you need to find all the letters on certain stages before you can move on to other stages. I am stuck before the cave however. What do I do with the beans I got? There's nothing about items in the menu...

I'm thinking more 8 or 9 out of 10 so far.

I just got it it's called "Looksley" Right now I am having a lot of problems as my walls are the same general color as my face. I'm trying a different room

Re: Review: Ferrari GT Evolution (DSiWare)

I skimmed the review, seems similar but with better graphics. In asphault you also have AI that is tough to pass, but once you get to 1st its hard to lose. You also play the exact same races many times, but i don't mind cause its so much fun. I will get this eventually.

Re: Metal Torrent

just looks too hectic. you just hold shoot button and shoot everything that moves, meanwhile a crazy changing/rotating background? I'll pass

Re: Hey Now, Kirby Wii Might Actually Be Happening This Time

winter123

I always wanted the Kirby Tilt And Roll game (supposed to be on Gamecube in 2001). After 2 years delay, Kirby was dropped and it was called tiltorama or something with some generic pink marble. Then I think it was either never released, or terrible. Hopefully we will see a full 3D kirby game based on the 2d ones!

Re: Review: Red Steel 2 (Wii)

winter123

I seem to be in a very small minority... But I bought Red Steel at launch and loved every second of it. I'm glad the soundtrack is still great (Tom Salta again I presume?). The original had some glitches as well, so I can overlook those. But one of the main draws about the original was the lush and varied environments, but here it's like cardboard boxes? I must have played the last level 5 times in a row just because it felt like such a real environment- Travelling upstream through a forest, to find a secret enemy base along a cliff. I also really liked the gunplay in the original too. It took a bit of practice, but once you got used to it, moving your wiimote closer to the screen to zoom in and snipe some guy 500 yards away felt amazing... but that seems downplayed or even non-existant in 2. So, I will definitely play this, but I will likely wait until it's a bargain bin game of 20 or 30 dollars.

Re: New Super Mario Galaxy 2 Trailer

@Dragoon I LOVE THE BALL ROLLING LEVELS. A better april fool than what nintendolife did would be to announce "super mario universe". YOu know it's coming! (Hopefully an MMO given the title, but nintendo will never do that.)

I own this game but I haven't played in years. Recently bought a new disk for 20 bucks because my old one was so scratched. I have my pad and game sitting in the corner of my room... may even begin playing through the story again today! Only problem is, you literally can't play it on a second floor unless you like pissed off people below you. Thankfully I'm on ground.

Re: Jumpman

winter123

OMG! Not even one comment in over 6 months, and this game is still not in north america. Im about to hack my console to connect to EU store. It's worth it for the 1 week of play before it's bricked. **** you nintendo just **** you. But speaking of brucelee, http://ovinebydesign.com/?p=107 here's the closest of a re-release you'll ever get. ROMs are buggy, probably 10 people in the world have a working C64 computer, and nintendo refuses to release it even though they have an opportunity to!

Re: WiiWare Demo Program Demo Ending This Month

winter123

This is some serious crap. I was so glad to see nintendo finally realizing its 1999 anymore and realizing they need demos for their games. I downloaded all the demos the first week, and I plan on buying nyxquest because of it. I'm sure it costs near nothing to them, but the way they implemented it made it near impossible to find the demos, much like how they organized the wii demos, so its their own **** fault the program is failing. And last weeks update was just plain sad, no wonder their online program as a whole is failing. So that will lead them to believe online is not the way to go, just because they suck at it! UGH! I love nintendo games but I'll leave them for good next generation if they continue this streak.

Re: Review: Reflect Missile (DSiWare)

Why the **** are games not released worldwide at the same time? Does it take 2 months to translate it from "british english" to "american english"? Ugh, i was about to go buy this then i saw NOPE YOU HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER MONTH YOU AMERICAN B****.

Re: Review: Pro-Putt Domo (DSiWare)

winter123

Coin and hole placement are seemingly random, but there are only 1-3 different arrangements per hole. But there is a surprising amount of depth cause by that, plus also the fact that each surface has a noticeably different speed you have to take into account when hitting. Too hard, youll skip over the hole and go in the water I think it is win+50 coins unlocks the next tournament, then win+100 coins unlocks the free play mode(which also contains a "hard" mode). So much depth for so little money! If they released a sequel for 5 dollars with online multiplayer I would love it.

Re: Review: Pro-Putt Domo (DSiWare)

winter123

This is well worth 2 bucks. Hint: R is camera, took me a while to realize that. You collect coins resulting in a nice balance between wanting to have the lowest strokes and wanting to get all the coins... sometimes in very tricky places.

Re: Christmas Clix

Thought it said Christmas *lits. Shows where my mind is. (hint: * may or may not be the same letter as the actual title. Don't want to risk bannage.)

Re: Review: Frogger Returns (WiiWare)

winter123

3D Frog Frenzy. Look it up people. A mid-90s computer game but rather than a frogger rehash, it actually had worlds to explore, fun music, long amount of gameplay, just hard enough to be challlenging. It's probably hard to find now but worth the trouble.

Re: Final Fantasy

I have this NES cartridge Couldnt manage to get into it though. Just too basic perhaps? The FFIII remake for DS i have been addicted to the past 3 days however. I hope they remake all the old FFs!
