Re: Bayonetta 3's Lead Designer Actually Left PlatinumGames Two Years Ago

twicesmt

What another trash, clickbait article from NL lol. Did you even know WHY he left Platinum? And he supposedly worked on Bayonetta 3 as an assistant for 8 months and yet you lead of with “It’s been discovered” like you just found some crucial information about the game’s development. Give it a rest and like I said before on another of your trash clickbait article, it’s okay to have a slow news day.

Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Raises The Question - How Much Do Janky Graphics Matter?

twicesmt

I go back to this: when did Pokemon ever become a graphically-strong franchise to have these kind of expectations? What's the basis for all of this? Should Game Freak utilize the Pokemon Company's literal piles of money to create a more aesthetically-pleasing game? Hell yeah they should.

But in the 25-year history of Pokemon, we should at least come to the realization about how we treat our expectations to this franchise. Does that absolve Game Freak for supposedly bad graphics? No, not at all. But if you're expecting to see something that it's clearly not, that's on you and you're just nitpicking for the heck of it. Just go play something else

Re: Random: Here's How Nintendo Makes Sure Switch Game Cards Are Fit For Purpose

twicesmt

They removed my comment lmao. Still doesn't change the fact this article was a trash effort. I clicked hoping to see how Nintendo "makes sure" their cartridges are quality and literally got nothing of the sort. No verification if the machines on the tweet, which was not even embedded to the article by the way, were actually legit. And how do they quality control them, exactly?

Re: Video: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Gets Three New Commercials

@SpaceboyScreams you realize the actual video games are not the main reason they're the biggest media franchise right?

And while I get that they should at least evolve, pun fully intended, nine 10-year-olds will pick up the new game that "sucks" for the one 25-year-old and would think it's the best game ever, especially if it's their introduction to the whole gaming franchise. To be honest, the faster we realize these games are no longer made for us, the sooner we'll be at peace lol.

I have Legends Arceus pre-ordered since like August, and Game Freak will have to do an amazingly terrible job at it for me not to at least enjoy it. It certainly won't be the end of my world if a kid's game's trees don't have shadows in the overworld.

Re: Video: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Gets Three New Commercials

@DomGC exactly. I feel like people expect too much from Pokemon games... which I don't get. It's been 25 years, if they didn't "grow up" then, they won't now lmao. They clearly know who they want to target (kids) and are sticking to it, for better or for worse.

Clearly, whiny people are still drawn to Pokemon one way or another. I find it hard to believe no other title or developer found a way to do a Pokemon-style game with supposedly better graphics in the last 25 years. If they do, go play that then.

Re: Exp. Share Supposedly Can't Be Turned Off In The Pokémon Diamond And Pearl Remakes

twicesmt

@Expa0 I'd genuinely like to know what Pokemon game you played, especially the older ones, where you never had to grind for levels. Having the option to turn exp share on and off is the most ideal for sure, but that's also the case for simply just having different difficulty options in Pokemon, which has never happened ever.

In terms of Exp Share, I'd rather have that quality of life improvement, and adjust my party accordingly, than ever have the need to wander into tall grass battling one wild Pokemon after another.

Re: Next Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, 23rd September 2021

@anoyonmus Yeah I just meant a title from a bigger and/or well known franchise. This year (and the last) have been relatively thin tbh. I guess I'm hoping for something similar like Hyrule Warriors AOC-type announcement, though Dread might have already been that one. My main wish, aside from Bayo 3, is for the Persona series to come since SMT is inevitable already

Re: Talking Point: As The Fan-Made 2D Metroid Prime Game Is Shut Down, Where Do You Stand On Nintendo's Takedowns?

twicesmt

Man they knew what they were getting into right from the start. They should have taken that same energy and created their own game, inspired by Metroid and not use someone else's IP and act all sad and down when the owner comes back to protect their own stuff, which is the actual right thing to do. There's tons of Metroid-inspired games out there that have officially released, which for sure just started out as "for fun" projects. You can't use the likeness of Samus without permission and act like you were victimized when you get caught.
