i think the stock drop may have little or nothing to do with the wiiu. I think it was sonys announcement that the NGP will sale for the same price as the 3ds.
nintendo is still getting it wrong until you can download it on multiple personal systems from the shop with one purchase like sony does. This is one area that sony wins, nintendo loses.
nintendo needs to keep vc releases coming every week than they will get my money. I wont pay for mediocre wiiware titles. I will pay for great old school vc games though.
i hope nintendo does not do this again. Its kind of an insult to fans. I like to hear nintendo turned a game card game into a dsi ware game with lots of great content
I have heard many say they arent getting it beacause. 1. the price (especially because of an all around near recession) 2. they expect to get a better model in a year at a lower price 3. the games at launch...an average selection at best 4. complaints of headaches with the 3d
all these factors go into why sales were not up to expectations
I sure hope nintendo comes out with a console more powerful than the next gen microsoft and sony machines. Nintendo may "hint" at it at E3 2011 and will be playable at E3 2012 but that doesnt mean it has to arrive till holiday 2012 or later.

and the NGP is an "updated psp". You could look at the DS as an "updated" gameboy advance. Arent all next gen systems updates?

Gyro scope used to change perspective does not go well with holding the 3d at just the right spot. They really cancel each other out
