Congratulations, Unity, you've beaten the Xbox One's used game fee and online checkin as the dumbest and most consumer-hostile corporate decision in gaming history - at least those policies wouldn't have directly affected developers or retroactively affected the Xbox 360. You've bitten the hand that feeds you. Even if (or rather when) you backtrack because big-name developers - including The Pokémon Company - are threatening to sue you, you've ensured that no major future projects will use your engine because you clearly cannot be trusted.

Sony (a CONSOLE MANUFACTURER) ducked out, six of last year's presentations ended up on the So Bad It's Horrible page, and they accidentally doxxed the last physical event's attendees. I don't doubt they'll try, but they have an uphill battle getting the goodwill they've lost back.
@Retro_Player_77 That is assuming they get released in the west, since Xseed, not NISA, holds the rights. Then again, that didn't stop the PS4 versions from being released overseas, so IMO there is a decent chance they will be.
@Mrrabbitpuncher The Trails series is three "arcs" (one of which is Asia-only at the moment, but has one excellent fan translation out and another in the works). The series as a whole is how you describe Valkyria Chronicles - you don't need to play the Sky trilogy or Crossbell duology to understand the Cold Steel quadrilogy, though it's recommended you do because it ties into both, ESPECIALLY THE CROSSBELL DUOLOGY - but each arc has to be started from its beginning, so yes, you do need to know what happens in CS1 and CS2 (at the very least, read CS3's in-game refresher).
@loggames Digital Homicide you most certainly are not, and yeah, I agree that gameplay is more important than graphics. Hope you find a decent artist in the future, because this looks OK despite the bizarre visuals.
@Anyone saying this doesn't look like a Gamecube controller: "As you can see in the image above, PDP has previously released controllers — and many other accessories — on the Wii and other systems, in that case mimicking a mini-fight stick setup; with Wii U owners keen to use a GameCube-style controller on their new system, this could be an intriguing option." Note the use of "the image above" and "in that case mimicking a mini-fight stick setup". EDIT: And the caption.
Yes, that controller looks awful and it makes me sceptical of the quality of the Gamecube-inspired one, but it's not the Gamecube-inspired one the article is talking about.

@SmaMan
Definitely appropriate in this case, since this is a blatant asset flip.
