If you love Super Mario World anywhere near as much as we do, you're going to love this 3D model based on the game's overworld, too.
Shared on Twitter by Matt Brailsford, this gorgeous little creation features all of the key areas seen on the game's famous map. Everything from the little world numbers, the Yellow Switch Palace, and all the familiar scenery is correct and present, and it looks absolutely adorable. Take a look.
There are some more pics, too:
Go ahead and tell us you wouldn't want of these making your home look wonderful in the comments. We dare you...
I need to write more
If he's selling, I'm buying!
Good work! Looks very accurate from memory point.
Looks like a neat thing to put in a rich dudes hampster cage.
Thats not a bad thing, its cool
Amazing work. All looks so clean and bright too!
Some people are just so darn clever!
This looks amazing. Now I want him to make one for A Link to the Past's overworld. That would be truly a thing of beauty.
Anyone else getting the urge to whip the Snes out and work their way through all 96 levels / exits after seeing this
Kids: Where's the 'three'?
Me: Here, hold onto this 't' and this 'h' for me, and I'll get you the rest. REEEEEEEEEE!
@Marios-love-child I was thinking the same thing,
I don't know why, but I want a cake version of this.
Very cool. He needs to do Star Road next!
@Marios-love-child This is great really accurate and yes I do wanna play this right now wish it was on switch though
@BoyfriendOfDeath Only if he's doing ALL the maps in SMW.
Chocolate Island looks edible
Sadly, a number of girlfriends were lost during the making of this!
Sweet! Seems pretty accurate too!
The real challenge would be to do this with Earthbound's main overworld.
@Palom I'll take Vanilla dome. And cheese bridge. With some Soda Lake.
@Rodan2000 Tch, if they were lost, it's no loss.
Awesome work, very impressive!
Looks fantastic. Just zooming around, looking at the different locations, and the music in my head changes accordingly.
I was trying to say thanks for that good job I houp this isn't showing on my boy friends face book he on my phone he used it last . after ya did that now ya is legant thank you cant wait to play super Mario bros
@Rodan2000 Does that really count as much of a loss?
@Vicki_S the loss of any girlfriend that doesn’t appreciate a hand built Super Mario World Diorama is not considered a loss!
@Rodan2000 My point exactly! I’d prefer a Zelda diorama, but SMW is my favorite Mario game.
There’s a reason I only date gamers who appreciate my nerdy ways.
Looks amazing. Awesome job, Matt!
If they remake super Mario like the new Zelda awakening ..... Ill take 20!
Now he just needs to make it so that the top of the Vanilla Dome has a hinge on the back, so it can swing open to reveal a mini World 3 within.
That's pretty awesome! I imagine it will be difficult to display though. How big is it? The pictures don't give a good sense of scale.
a claymation super mario world game remake would be amazing..
@Vicki_S nothing wrong with being nerdy lady! My mistake has always been to date girls who aren’t gamers!
Me too, I can easily play on it the Snes mini but because of the short controller leads and having to sit so close to the TV I rarely do sadly
Notice how he didn’t do the world map from a later Mario game, Nintendo? That’s because your world maps in Mario games have been rubbish since this game, nearly 30 years ago! Sort it out.
This model looks great by the way. Good job!
@GravyThief horrible use of logic there. Just terrible.
@teamdave2002 no, he’s right. The New SMB games just don’t have charming maps.
Looks very nice indeed.
