His first video on “hit stops”, “boss stops”, and “death stops” is great. I now fully understand why scrolling shooters have always felt unsatisfying to play.
There are not 2000 games worth playing on the Switch. That’s not a criticism of the Switch in particular; most games published on modern digital storefronts are not worth playing. Anyone who owns 2000 Switch games needs another hobby, or better yet an actual life.
@Fath Yeah, if there were new levels that would be one thing, but any excitement I had vanished as soon as I saw Mario long-jumping down the water slide in Bianca Hills.
Also, not trying to be mean, but that music is awful.
@not_soos Oh hey, another DeeBeeGeek fan! I started watching him when he played Breath of the Wild, and it’s been great to follow his journey playing modern Nintendo games for the first time. Also, he’s one of the most positive and non-toxic Twitch streamers I’ve found.
I wish I liked MM more. The themes, story, lore, etc. are great, but the actual gameplay of the 3-day cycle never clicked for me. This was still a great article though!
@Solomon_Rambling I know right? There's so much happening at the end of March. Will there be a new console revision? A huge Direct? A true Virtual Console? Maybe just a really cruel April Fools joke?!
Ok, there has to be something big happening at the end of March. Mario 3D All-Stars, Mario 35, and now this are disappearing around then, and we're getting a new Monster Hunter game.
That Link to the Past ad looks like it was actually foreshadowing Cadence of Hyrule! Seriously though, why don’t we get more dancing in advertisements?
Could Smash really be a celebration of gaming without including the best-selling video game of all time? I don't even care about Minecraft that much, but it makes perfect sense.
I must just be super easy to please, because I saw about a dozen games I’m interested in trying out, with Manifold Garden, Hades, and Card Shark at the top.
Super Paper Mario was the first one I played, so it’s at the top for me. Sure it’s not an RPG, but the story is one of Nintendo’s best, I love the art style, and the nostalgia is too real.
It is followed closely by Thousand Year Door and Paper Mario 64, of course. I’ve never tried SS or CS and have no desire to. If I ever play Origami King I’d have to guess it would come in 4th, though I could be wrong.
I decided to pick up a New 2DS XL for $99 a couple days ago. I sold my original 3DS in 2014, so I missed out on a lot of good games. First priority: All the Zelda games, whether exclusive, virtual console, or spinoff. Starting with Majora’s Mask 3D.
One thing the review didn’t talk about much is that Levelhead is available on Switch, Xbox, PC, iOS, and Android, and it is 100% cross-platform. You can start building a level on PC, publish it on Switch, and play it on mobile. Also, the Exposure system really does work well. If you put in some time playing other people’s levels to get Exposure Bucks (as they’re called), your level will get played, guaranteed.
I find this all strange because none of my family’s four Joy-Con have had any problems whatsoever in a year and a half. It has to be a manufacturing defect that Nintendo didn’t know about and can’t figure out how to fix, and that only shows up in some controllers.

Re: Talking Point: Which Game Stage Have You Replayed More Than Any Other?
Honestly… probably Bianca Hills in Super Mario Sunshine. I haven’t really stopped playing Sunshine since it came out.
Re: Random: Head Of Xbox Phil Spencer Still Has That Nintendo Switch On His Shelf
Master Chief in Smash? Nah.
I'm waiting for Mario x Halo: Kingdom Battle

Re: Nintendo Ignored Zelda's 35th Anniversary This Weekend, But Fans Are Celebrating In Style
I beat Majora’s Mask 3D for the first time 2 minutes before midnight!
Before that I spent most of the day watching DeeBeeGeek’s Zelda stream.

I've had the platinum for almost 20 years now, and it's still a beauty

@alexybubble Totally agree, I played that mode to death on the Wii.

Re: Video: Here's How Crazy Super Mario Bros. 35 Becomes When Played At Its Highest Level
Come on guys, that’s nothing! Check out Kosmic’s recent video — he’s got twice that many enemies and still wins!
(Kosmic is the SMB world record holder if you’re unaware)

Japanese cover makes me feel happy. NA/EU makes me feel sad. Simple as that.

Woah! Microsoft’s really been stepping up their exclusive game recently. Hopefully they keep sending games to the Switch.
