I’m pretty sure from the pictures that the JoyCon itself is not hinged, only the part that slots into the rail of the Switch. This would definitely make it a lot stronger, but less portable...
Mine happens due to the stress I put on it during the Season 5 of Fortnite - I switched to the pro controller afterward. Ironically they only drift in Fortnite - the left stick drifts to the right and the right stick drifts downward. They work fine in every other game... I haven’t noticed any drift issues in Skyrim or DOOM or games like that.
I’m stopping Fortnite once season 9 is over, so I’ll repair my Joycon with new joysticks and then start using them again for Skyrim and stuff like that.
How cool! I finally received my copy from Limited Run yesterday after months of waiting (I would recommend not combining shipping if you want anything in a reasonable time) and I was wondering when they were going to release this update! Only played a couple hours but am really enjoying it so far.
Well, as long as the next major Legend of Zelda entry can be played on the OG Switch, I’ll be happy - BotW was designed mostly with the WiiU in mind and so I really want a proper Switch LoZ that’ll take full advantage of the hardware. I’ve got three Switches and don’t really want to upgrade just for one game!
@T1ck_T0ck - yes, you’ll get put in the PC pool; it’ll depend if you get put in the PC&keyboard or PC&controller pool depending on what you’re playing with.
@Azikira this doesn’t stop you from playing with friends or family cross-platform; this only keeps random matchmaking in the Mobile/Switch pool. You can still play with Xbox/PS4/PC friends.
After playing a few rounds last night, it’s incredible the difference. Me and my buddy on Switch were crushing it, it was like we’d been Goku and took of our weighted training jackets! It makes sense, but they haven’t made it clear wether mobile players using touch are included or not, as they are at a severe disadvantage against players with Pro Controllers.
@Tsurii I’d seen some videos like that as well, but in Austin I went three years in a row and the crowd was extremely respectful and quiet. I guess it really depends on the location I suppose!

Re: Feature: Best Nintendo DS Games
Oy! Surprised that neither The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass nor Spirit Tracks didn’t make the list!
