This is my biggest problem with Zelda. It's simply too long and I don't have the time. I tried Twilight Princess, Skyword Sword, and even bought Ocarina of Time 3DS, and I just couldn't get into them. Okami, on the other hand, I gladly spent 50+ hours on, and Xenoblade Chronicles I'm approaching 40 hours. So what's the difference? I really don't know exactly, they just managed to capture my interest.
However, that being said, I don't believe Nintendo should change their current Zelda formula if it's working so well for the fans of the series. I've found other titles that interest me, so I don't feel left out when everyone's raving about the new Zelda. It's just not for me.

I did borrow the first Sega/Sonic All-Stars Racing, and it wasn't bad. One step up from "this actually doesn't suck" to "Hey, this is kinda good". This looks even better, but unfortunately, I only need one good racing game.

IMO, SMG 1&2 > NSMBWii. But I'm not much of a team player .

As a newbie to the JRPG genre, I have to say that all the things I love about Xenoblade Chronicles seem to be missing from this title, so I may pass (massive landscapes, plenty of side quests, no penalties for taking your time exploring, no heavy punishments for dying... a lot). Still on the fence with Last Story though.

Yes, BUT.... the only Mario I actually get excited for is the Paper Mario series. That one still gives plenty of time for anticipation.

Personally, I'll be buying a Wii U for its games. If being more powerful and having better graphics will entice more QUALITY third party titles, than great, but my Wii has done me proud, and looking at my library, the vast majority are Nintendo published titles. ... ... hd will be nice though.

I guess this would be a good time to sell my old SNES.

@theblackdragon, a fellow genius at SMW I see, although I can't say the same for SMB3. I do feel special now regarding my DKC skills.

... Until I remember how many hours (days, weeks, etc) and lives it took to get those skills.

I'm on the fence. I would love to download titles that are no longer in (physical) production... Actually, I probably would download most of my titles, as long as they were playable offiline. I wouldn't have to worry about "RARE" titles being so incredibly expensive anymore. I've had to buy Mario Kart Wii twice due to scratches (and I'm careful). So there's another plus for downloads.
Side note, I'm dealing with this same issue with my book collection. I love buying a new book, and having shelves full of them, but I see the practicality and convenience of e-Readers.
So, if I woke up tomorrow and games were suddenly download-only... I'd be ok.

I like the idea of having an online profile where I can check out my achievements for all my games in one glance. But then again, I stopped using Backloggery because I became too focused on reducing the "unfinished" and increasing the "completed" that I was just powering through the games and not really taking my time to enjoy them. Achievements sometimes turn into one giant, daunting to-do list.
Achievements do extend the life of a game though, that's for sure.

Still wary from the 3DS launch; majorly regret buying before the price drop. Sorry, I won't be in line for one of these for another year.

Slight disappointment at not seeing Paper Mario, but I'll live. I want it to be good, not rushed.

It is over-crowded. I know I would have picked up Cave Story for sure if it had come out in August (or was it June...), but it's fallen to the back of the line, along with Rayman and Kirby. Especially since the money I will be spending is on gifts for other people.

@tbd Yup, I remember I had a friend watching me play one day, and finally they asked, "Is that it? Just exploring?". Then I felt the need to impress and went and got some more stars.

Still, my most favourite game (PM:TTYD) was gamecube. AND we had some good times with the mario parties.

Good lists, but I'd have to list Okami as my best Wii game and Paper Mario:TTYD as my best GC game. All good though.

Still on the fence about these games. Once the mystery is solved, is there any replay value? I loved Zack & Wiki, but once I solved all the puzzles, I never touched it again.

I can't justify buying ANOTHER dance game... but ... ... ok. Can't argue with 9/10. And I loved Just Dance 2, certainly more than I thought I would.

Hours of my life were invested in this series... one of my strategies was to create a small pond by the entrance, and if anyone kept getting stuck finding their way out of the park, I'd throw them in there to drown. Only affected the rating a little bit, not near as much as having them complain for hours.

Considering I would have never bought any of these, getting them for free is like... Winning a free lottery ticket, only to win another free lottery ticket, only to win another free... ...in the end it's just a bunch of nothing. (For me anyways. I'm well aware these are great games for others...)

I'm still super ticked that I bought my 3DS early. The Ambassador program is totally not for me, although I do appreciate the effort. Huge regret, and I won't be lining up for the WiiU anytime near launch.

To me, gender equality in gaming doesn't mean an equal amount of male and female protagonists, it means an equal amount of quality gaming experiences that appeal to both sexes. This includes males who aren't big into shoot-em-ups, and females who are... Samus being female has absolutely no effect on my desire to play Metroid, it's still not my type of game.

WHAT!?!? NOOOOooooo... I really liked de blob... I was hoping there would be similar things to come from Blue Tongue. Not necessarily blob games, but other unique, fun, interesting things.

This makes me feel sick. I highly doubt there's 20 games I want, that I would have actually dished money out for. And to think I haven't picked up my 3DS in weeks, already traded in the 3DS games I owned... I could have waited. Lesson learned. Going to go find something to kick now.
