I hope the game doesn't rely too much on people just wanting to interact with their favourite Disney characters, since I never was much of a fan of Mickey or the others (except Mickey's Christmas Carol... watch it every year ). As long as it has solid gameplay to back it up, this could be really, really fun.
I agree, Luke. The people who love this game have put countless hours into planning and memorizing the perfect lines, and developing some crazy skills. After beating this game, I can remember my dad making me a special dinner and cake just because it was seriously something to celebrate. Then I beat MK 64, and it was like, meh, that didn't take much.
I like how I bought this game as something my husband and I could play together... but co-operative play quickly turned to competative... and, well... let's just say I'm happy this game has a strong single-player element underneath all the multi-player hype.
@feng & Machu: Haven't you been listening? The game guide allows Nintendo to make the games HARDER!! This should be good news for hardcore gamers. Then you can brag all you want about how you did it without using game guide, just like you can brag now about not using youtube.
So, after you solve the mystery.... ? Sounds like another case of Zack & Wiki... the game itself was pretty fun, but once you knew how to solve all the puzzles, that's it. Not a lot of replay-ability. I find this with a lot crime-sovling games. The part that caught my attention though was "Return from the adventure with cool treasures that players can use to construct and customize their headquarters and make it their own". Now that's more like the MySims I've come to love.
I'm obviously getting both this and SMG2, but it's hard to say which one I'm more excited for. SMG2 - more galaxy fun, and YOSHI . NSMBWii - Multiplayer platforming / competition
The only reason I was able to get gold in all the races was because this was one of only three games I had for 6 or 7 years. Lets hope my skills from Mario Kart Wii transfer over, otherwise it will be a while before I can master this one again.
My favorite story/game would have to be Okami. Definatley not a game you want to play through quickly. Beautiful settings, characters with depth, and a plot with plenty of twists and turns. Everything I love about books put into a video game. Brilliant.
I haven't even gotten around to downloading Sonic 2 on Genesis yet, so this week qualifies as a let down for me. I hope that Nintendo doesn't consider this their "big release" for the month.

Re: Capcom Growing Less Keen on Wii?
I wouldn't care either way unless they made an all new Okami game only for PS3 and XBOX... then you'll hear me howling.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii Gets Perfect Score in Famitsu
All I can say is, this game reached a 10/10 for me when I threw my sister off a cliff to get a star coin. Classic.

Finally, SMK. Ironically, I just found my old SNES with the mario kart cartridge still in it.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2
I think there's going to be more to it than just new stages... at least that's what I'm hoping

Re: Okami
IMO, best game on the Wii. Gameplay is extremely satisfying, and the sound and visuals are amazing.
