Re: Nintendo Switch "Successor" Announcement Is Coming "This Fiscal Year"

razza1987

The fact that the president of Nintendo mic dropped by stating an announcement of the switch successor is sometime within the next ten or so months as well as a June direct as almost an afterthought. Wild šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I expected some news today but not an outright announcement addressing the elephant in the room šŸ˜‚

ā€œHere we are going to give you a 7 day free trial to play the game but we are going to start the event days after the trial runs out.ā€ If I knew that the event was going to start less than three days after the end of the seven day trial ended I would have waited to activate it šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Re: Review: Endless Ocean: Luminous (Switch) - A Meditative Marine Milieu, But Incredibly Shallow

@Ryu_Niiyama ā€œ There are definitely some performance drops when playing online, and I did notice the framerate (which usually targets 30fps) dip periodically in busier areas and when a number of other divers are around. Thankfully it’s not game-breaking at all, and connection quality throughout my session remained stable with no noticeable lag. Mileage may vary here post-launch, of course, especially if you’re playing with divers from across the globe.

I played Endless Ocean Luminous for approximately 20 hours on my Nintendo Switch OLED. This was enough time to fill out the majority of the creature and treasure catalogs in addition to roughly two-thirds of the Mystery Board’s objectives.

I played primarily in docked mode using the GameSir Nova Lite controller, with a handful of hours in handheld mode where I found performance to be comparable to docked play, albeit with a knock to resolution and overall image quality.ā€

Re: My Time At Sandrock Receives Huge Update On Switch, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@Ursaking yeah it’s a false misconception. It’s the biggest reason why this time around Pathea did the my time at Sandrock switch version fully in house themselves because they got burned last time by Team17. They also said about a month or two ago that they have revisited Portia with the knowledge they have gained from working on Sandrock and are about to release a major patch for Portia on the switch.

From the My Time At Portia wiki:

ā€œTeam17 is the publisher of My Time at Portia. While Pathea Games is the developer of the game's PC version, Team17 is responsible for porting and optimizing the console versions.ā€

Patheas post about an update coming to the switch version of Portia:

@Ursaking Pathea weren’t the developers of the switch version of my time at Portia. Team17 were. THEY were the ones that abandoned the game, leaving it in a buggy mess. Pathea then had to find another development company come in and see what Team17 had left behind which they did with Pingle Studios and a new update is about to be released. If they really wanted to they could have just given up on the switch port once Team17 had abandoned the game but they decided to fix it. I get being frustrated at the state that Portia was in on switch but it was Team17’s fault not Pathea’s
