@mikegamer @rjejr Hehe, I didn't mean sign up for Prime to grab Star Fox. Prime isn't a video-game discount service....its a service that millions already have and would have even if the discount didn't exist. For me, its a legit 20% discount. I pay $99/year to save a few hundred a year. Clearly the math is different for some.
Remember, Amazon does 20% off on physical copy for pre-order and the first 2 weeks after release date....US$47.99 and you can take it to the used game-store and ditch it if it sucks
@Aurumonado Each version is not an upgrade or a replacement like an operating system, they are additions. Want to play the Toy Story playset, fire up 1.0. Want to play a star wars playset, fire up 3.0, etc. We regularly use all 3 depending on what we are in the mood for.
In 3.0 all toy box construction has been moved away from the gamepad screen to the TV but the review seems to imply otherwise; what am I missing? The second screen was used in Infinity 1.0 and 2.0 but essentially does nothing in 3.0.
This link that is meant to clarify leaves it unclear if a 2.0 playset will work with the downloaded software. The name "Toy Box" may simply mean that is the only mode available without the purchase of additional hardware....much like the current 1.0 Wii U download. https://infinity.disney.com/news/2-0-toy-box-digital-1924
@paburrows That is what I wish to do but it sounds like in this review (and elsewhere) that the download version will not work with the playsets — it is toy box only mode. It is possible this is true and the Avengers Pack you linked would still make sense as there is another 2.0 starter pack that includes the disc and Merida and Stitch.
So I already: 1) own the base (and happily play 1.0 on Wii U) 2) will own a new 2.0 playset bought from store 3) pay for the 2.0 download coming to the eShop on Nov. 4 I still can't use the playset simply because they didn't include it in the download? When you buy the playset, you are buying (although not physically in box) the use of the software needed for it. I don't want to buy a bunch of hardware I don't want/need simply because Disney can't figure out how to distribute software.
Soooooo, still no promised TiVo support? The remote function still can't control my audio receiver? They need to partner with Logitech's Harmony to get access to their database of devices and make this useful for a typical living room.
So does the patent troll just keep trolling along or do they have to pay damages to Nintendo? There is more here than just legal fees but also shouldn't libel and slander come into play?
Anyone else confused why the quick-launch screen shows games that are disc based but are not currently in the drive? One of the 10 should obviously be the disc that is currently in the machine and the rest appear to be wasting a spot. Was this just an oversight in the logic when coding this?
@ACK Mario Clash for the Virtual Boy is some of what you just described. Its Mario Bros., in 3D, with 99 different levels. It really would be a great 3DS remake. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Clash
...and does the GamePad TV remote control volume on an AV receiver yet? I assume most people with large HD TVs also have some type of sound system. If the remote can't provide at least the most basic functionality of a Harmony remote, it is really pretty worthless.....and what an awesome remote it could be. Wonder if they attempted to partner with Logitech on their Harmony line (for access to their extensive IR database)?
Is anyone else concerned that the inside, around the 3D screen, is gold instead of black? There is a reason they went with black on the inside before...I am concerned about the contrast impacting the 3D presentation. Valid or no? I would be upgrading from a standard 3DS.
I have never complained about framerate on anything ever; but damn, Sonic Racing on 3DS is so bad that it feels like I am using Google street view and downloading each frame rather than playing a racing game. I really enjoy the game on WiiU. Disappointing
So Nintendo is buying copies of ZombiU from Ubisoft to include in this package...announced the same day Ubisoft stuck it to Nintendo by intentionally shelving Rayman for 7 months
Will we still have access to their titles on virtual console and WiiWare? I assume the titles are the property of Konami and Konami will collect revenue from the sale of Hudson's titles?

What ever happened with TVii and TiVo integration? We were to get it by end of 2012, then March 2013, then it just vanished. Any word?
