@Aurumonado Each version is not an upgrade or a replacement like an operating system, they are additions. Want to play the Toy Story playset, fire up 1.0. Want to play a star wars playset, fire up 3.0, etc. We regularly use all 3 depending on what we are in the mood for.

In 3.0 all toy box construction has been moved away from the gamepad screen to the TV but the review seems to imply otherwise; what am I missing? The second screen was used in Infinity 1.0 and 2.0 but essentially does nothing in 3.0.

@paburrows
That is what I wish to do but it sounds like in this review (and elsewhere) that the download version will not work with the playsets — it is toy box only mode. It is possible this is true and the Avengers Pack you linked would still make sense as there is another 2.0 starter pack that includes the disc and Merida and Stitch.

So I already:
1) own the base (and happily play 1.0 on Wii U)
2) will own a new 2.0 playset bought from store
3) pay for the 2.0 download coming to the eShop on Nov. 4
I still can't use the playset simply because they didn't include it in the download? When you buy the playset, you are buying (although not physically in box) the use of the software needed for it. I don't want to buy a bunch of hardware I don't want/need simply because Disney can't figure out how to distribute software.

...and does the GamePad TV remote control volume on an AV receiver yet? I assume most people with large HD TVs also have some type of sound system. If the remote can't provide at least the most basic functionality of a Harmony remote, it is really pretty worthless.....and what an awesome remote it could be. Wonder if they attempted to partner with Logitech on their Harmony line (for access to their extensive IR database)?

Re: Konami Dissolving Hudson Soft

Will we still have access to their titles on virtual console and WiiWare? I assume the titles are the property of Konami and Konami will collect revenue from the sale of Hudson's titles?
