So basically Nintendo is saying "we will use our money to strengthen game development, and we'll do this the same way we've been doing it". Not exactly earth-shattering.
@TheMegaMarshtomp Agreed, the initial loading times are what's really impressive to me. They need to have this team teach the Animal Crossing developers how to do it.
The first time I came across Colgera in the Depths in TotK legit scared me. Had no idea it was down there and I came over a ridge in near-total darkness and suddenly this terrifying creature 100x my size is flying straight at me. I immediately turned around and ran away, marked the spot on the map, and stayed away for a long time after.
@RubyCarbuncle I wasn't able to beat him until I learned that in the third phase you can use a power bomb to destroy his sun attack and get health and ammo. Makes a huge difference.
@StarPoint Was going to say the same thing. The Samus model from that game is still the go-to when publications post about anything Metroid because of how good it is.
It seems a little wrong to talk so highly of the career mode length if the length is just grinding. If there are ten tracks and "career mode" asks you to race them 50 times each that doesn't seem actually better to me than the same ten tracks raced 4 times each, for example.
@EvilRegal yes! I’ve never heard anyone else mention it but it was really good, especially in comparison to the other attempts at fighting games on the GB.
I wonder how many people will even be able to access these settings since they require beating the C-sides first? Could easily be as few as a couple of thousand I bet.

Re: Nintendo States Its Intention To Acquire More Development Teams
The framing of this story is somewhat misleading. The text about acquiring developers is in the "Examples" column. If you read through those, every single one references something that is already public knowledge. For example, acquisition of a video production company ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Pictures ), a joint venture with DeNA ( https://techcrunch.com/2022/11/09/nintendo-dena-establish-joint-venture-company-nintendo-systems/ ), and so forth.
This includes both examples connected to "strengthening game development" - constructing building 2 and acquiring developers are both past actions that have already happened ( https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/nintendo-confirms-that-its-new-development-centre-has-been-delayed-to-make-it-bigger/ and https://www.polygon.com/24161472/nintendo-shiver-acquisition-explained/ ).

Re: Site News: Got A Second To Fill Out Our Reader Survey?
@FishyS They did have that one question about free-to-play games, which is practically synonymous with mobile games.
Re: Review: 30XX - Excellent Mega Man X-Style Run 'N' Gunning, With A Roguelite Twist
We are doomed to forever suffer "roguelike" vs "roguelite" confusion. I see this is called a "roguelike" twice and a "roguelite" four times.

Re: Now, This Is What Next-Gen Pokémon Should Look Like
Animation is impressive but also looks like that weird Sid the Science Kid mo-cap.
Re: Video: Check Out Nintendo's Japanese TV Spots For Super Mario 3D All-Stars
@Bobb I thought the last shot would show him beating it but they kept it accurate
