Been so xbox-occupied since November, and some time before, but I’ve never had my NSW crash before. Today I’ve gotten a handful. I guess I’m not wanted as a user and should let it rest for a while more… Xcloud is laggy, but laggy beats crashing any sunny day…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pi-MRZBP91I&t=7s – it's clearly (if only for a tiny fraction of time) Link who's cursed by Ganondorfs remains (based on the red snake-smoke)… His hair grows long because of lack of hairdressers. Zelda is seen falling into a dark abyss moments later. Guessing divine intervention will sort that out though. The player has long blonde hair, it's pretty clear that it is Link due to the cursed arm. What I find interesting are the patterns on the arm, it's clearly related to the robots of old … LINK GOES CYBORG! And of course, time will play its role. But think of the Sheikah slate, clearly a tablet with camera etc, and the way you transferred maps onto it from the towers? Drops of data. His new arm allows him to "drip upwards" to floating rocks. Clearly the game will be called The Legend of Zelda: Cyberpunk of the Wild. Or something-something god of time (like Chronos) that'll reverse Zelda falling and them spelunking to find Ganons corpse so they can just live out their days in peace (instead of doing stupid stuff like waking mummies). People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect but actually from a non-linear, non subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff. The game ends in new game+. Ooh… what if it's called: The Legend of Zelda: Wibbly wobbly ? Great name!
@jipiboily I've pondered that flow… perhaps one day! It shouldn't be that hard for Nintendo to fix it, but perhaps it's by design… their CDN's, proxies, servers or what-ev is not up for speedier delivery of content. Throttle time!
I use DekuDeals primarily, but if they could just sort out the slow/dumb asynchronous loading (what’s up w/ that?) I would probably use the eShop more… now it’s just a “quick” stop for purchase after browsing Deku.
I too played a couple of hours on Xbox, but I’m contemplating a buy for the Switch edition. It’s a bit simple. Had some issues aiming, but all in all, it’s fun enough. I’m really just holding out for my daughter to try it. If she’s on board I’ll buy it, weather permitting we’re mostly outside and not being locked down to the TV (I could iPad up and launch OneCast, but this type of game + latency… nah) would be worth it. The Xbox version is localized, I hope that goes for the Switch as well, having voice acting localized to Swedish is rare and a godsend for my kids. I got into Minecraft at alpha, thought it cool that his/their office back then was so close to mine, so Mojäng (the proper spelling for gizmo) will get my support out of nostalgia. Even if it’s a different beast nowadays (and I only dabble in Minecraft since). I assume this game will grow and prosper over the years, like Minecraft… hell, I remember being stoked for the addition of the nether, pumpkins and wolfs, it seems a bit petty now… I will sink plenty of hours into this, it’s just a matter of when and where.
Not the most credible outlet, they’re not the most prominent source for anything really (not that big in Stockholm at least, where I live), but it’s common practice in Sweden for web shops to add placeholders even just for rumors. If it’s plausible to release within a few years that is. My guess is that it exists, it’s pretty ready for launch, but they’re holding out for a drought (some might say we’re there, but in my opinion there’s plenty of back log to churn). Or that it’ll be released near, or building up to, MP4.
