They bowed to pandemic woes and are paying the price instead of finding a better creative way to continue doing it. Everybody sees Apple doing these amazing shows, why should they all have to rely on each other being at the same show to do the same?
lol @ the last three poll options being effectively the same thing. Yet, we don't have a choice for "Wasn't going to get it anyway, but this was an interesting read."
Sounds to me like there should be royalties, if nothing else. Honestly, I was shocked to hear that there aren't any royalties in normal circumstances like this.
Why do people continue to buy these every year? And who is buying these, with every single person instructing them to stay away? It's clear that EA doesn't care about the Switch, and they continue to release crippled versions that are no different from each other. Do people really want a $60 roster update every year? Is that it?
First three minutes of the video shows three different games. The last 13 minutes? One game. I skimmed through to see the games and didn't watch the entire thing - was your intent to just showcase one bad game?
@Meteoroid Well, I'll say this: I'm not the one who plays it. My son has a propensity for recreating real-world stuff, and those all work great. It's when he decides that the bottom of a rocket needs over 50 engines and then he crashes it into a building... That's a lot of explosions to calculate. I don't blame the Series X by any means, but I couldn't imagine doing that on a Switch. I would expect it to overheat and reboot or something...
@Astral-Grain Heck, even my Series X has trouble with the physics sometimes. I can't imagine it running on Switch. (And this is AFTER the Series X optimizations.)
Nintendo is seriously missing the mark for opportunity with Christmas shoppers... None of these games even warrants a mention when held to the incredible titles that are now out (or coming out in about a week) for PS and Xbox. Will Nintendo get lost in the shuffle this winter? The best thing they have going for them is... a 2d Metroid platformer? (I get it: it's incredible. But it's sad that this is all they have.)
Controls, controls, controls. I've tried, but really struggle to get behind games that did the controls... well, wrong. They're just wrong. It's like they were thinking "Nobody likes that dual joystick stuff, so let's go with the driving-an-RC-car feel instead." It feels like you're on rails, and it's just wrong.
Every. Single. One. of these remakes/remasters/re-releases needs to fix the controls. That goes for the rumored Metroid Prime remaster, also!!
Yeah... this game pushed the original Xbox One to its limits with the physics calculations, which made the framerate terrible most of the time. Still a fun party game, but I'm super curious to see the framerate and how stable it is on the Switch.
Can somebody please play the song backwards and see if it says anything noticeable? I wouldn't be surprised if the backwards song is a hint at gameplay... Maybe music related, maybe time-shifting... I gotta say, though, I'm not psyched on how dark it looks; it's going to be difficult to let the kids play it. (Unless it doesn't get released until they're teenagers, which is possible, knowing Nintendo!)

Re: Rumour: Charles Martinet's Role In The Mario Movie May Have Been Revealed
I looked on imdb.com weeks ago and saw this father role...
Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On Metroid Prime Remastered Physical Release
I hope Nintendo sees how wildly successful this proper remaster was and they bring us Prime 2 and 3 soon.
Re: Review: Metroid Prime Remastered - A Long-Awaited And Stunning Return Of A Legend
I literally paid hundreds of dollars to play this game 21 years ago. I bought a GameCube for this game.
And I'm about to drop another $40 to get it with proper controls!

Oh man, I'm glad SOMEBODY noticed that there was definitely a theme going on there... I was like "Next. ...Next. ...Ne- when does this end?"
Re: Gallery: Here's A Look At The Switch Online Version Of Mario Golf, Plus A Comparison Video
It's weird to me how the bad geometry is forgivable on the N64, but not the Switch... Clarity makes you want more, I guess?

If only it was a joke that BOTW2 was delayed...

Re: Review: STAR WARS: Knights Of The Old Republic - Still Strong With The Force Despite Dated Design
@rushiosan Granted. But if I can't turn and strafe in different directions at the same time, the controls are just straight up wrong.

Re: Poll: What Features Would You Want In A Switch 'Pro'?
No doubt it should have way more storage (SSD maybe?) and better performance. 4k would be a win.

WTF? This dude's mom made this map? What is the world coming to?
