Why does crossover automatically require characters from the two series? Can't crossover also mean we're taking stuff from this series and stuff from this one and mashing it up into something different?
I will definitely be purchasing the Wii U version of a game if it exists from now on. Unfortunately, I doubt we will see more Wii U versions in the future given the difference in architecture and likelihood of low sales of Wii U copies in general.
Putting Smash on the 3DS is a bad idea. Also, how are they going to try and reel people in with the gamepad when their development process, obviously, takes quite some time. If they're going to turn things around with it, it certainly won't be this year.
I'm with @gregrout here. We've known about many of these titles for quite sometime except for Hyrule Warriors and a couple others. I see only 'X' and Bayonetta 2 being released beyond spring... what's after that?
I'll buy it if it comes out west for my 2DS, but I really want it for the Wii U. PS3 even... I don't care, I just want to play it on the big screen! MH3U is amazing on Wii U.
@B3ND3R that's awesome. My first was Revelations: Persona and then Revelations: the Demon Slayer. Being my favorite game is Earthbound, discovering Persona not long after was awesome. The modern day setting and horror-like atmosphere really drew me in.
@Sanquine you shouldn't be offended. Most people weren't aware of the MegaTen games before Personal 3. Persona 1 and 2 don't get the credit they deserve.
Seriously thought this game wouldn't be this good. I was way wrong. This is one game I'll definitely have no problems buying DLC if and when it's available. Thanks for the nice surprise, Nintendo.
Hopefully they've figured out how to program the Wii U better and there actually IS enough horsepower in the Wii U to get a better frame-rate. I'm referencing Koei Tecmo's statements last year regarding the Wii U's weaker CPU clock speed.
I bought one last week. I absolutely love the feel of the device. I got some screen protection film cut to fit each screen, so no worries about it always being exposed. Thoroughly enjoying Soul Hackers and SMT4.
Hopefully this works out. All #wiiu tags on Instagram show people with their new Zelda WW HD bundles. I'm interested to hear just how much of a boost Nintendo got from this bundle.
@LDXD @SecondServing I don't think they'll die off, more so the technologies will combine. One device for everything. A docking station here, a portable dock there. Something will change. I will always prefer a straight up console though.
Oh, and LDXD, perhaps a small notification that would pop-up or an LED to let you know of an incoming call. Gives you enough chance to either answer or simply ignore and save your game and an appropriate spot.
@LDXD I have an ASUS Transformer which is like a hybrid tablet/netbook with an NVIDIA Tegra 3. Most of the games are crap. Some good ones, but too many are knock offs of major console/portable/PC titles. I do enjoy some games, but I don't think I'll ever get used to strictly touch screen controls.
In the future, we will probably see a pleasant gaming experience from mobile platforms, but it's at least a few years away. If Nintendo joined the fray and made a phone with a controller dock of some sort I'd be all over. OF COURSE, it'd have to have a block call feature.
@Araknie This man probably sees a future where mobile platforms dominate the game industry. I can certainly see it happening and I think the big 3 see it as well.
There's just so much emphasis on the tablet. Yes, that is the focus, but if one doesn't take a good, strong look at the advertisements, it could be easily mistaken that the tablet is merely sitting in front of a black Wii.
Show the console off in advertisments more, hell, show it side by side with the old Wii. Just stop focusing 100% of the attention on the tablet controller.
I wouldn't say Nintendo's time is "long past", but their current approach should be changed in favor of what Hines mentions. There's a good chance Nintendo would see more 3rd party support from the get go with the approach Hines mentions rather than expecting 3rd parties to jump on due to strong 1st party sales.
I played this game for hours on end when I was 5. It was "all I thought about for weeks on end". I got in trouble for drawing "violent" pictures in the 1st grade of Ken and Zhangief fighting. I wasn't a violent kid, but I really loved Street Fighter!
Always wanted a 3DS, but buying one with all these games coming out will put me over the edge. I'm buying a 2DS. It's got all the same games, functions along with that price tag. Portable enough to fit in my messenger back which I take everywhere.
Given their reputation and track record, they should be happy with the money they've received. Look at Project Phoenix. Their minimum goal was $100,000 with big triple A game devs/composers/etc. involved. 750k is just too much.
The Wonderful 101's marketing has been done very well with the exception of one small thing. The demo announcement was sort of messy on the NA front. It sparked up a little bit of irritation with more than few people, myself included. Things cooled over when everyone found out the demo was coming later that day, but still it could've been announced better instead of "North American players will have to a wait a bit longer". It's just a bit too vague.
Wouldn't cutting the game pad now make the majority of games unplayable; in addition, require an obvious system update? Every dev would have to release an update so the game pad wasn't required for current titles.

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced
Will definitely upgrade from my 2DS when an NA version is released (or how about a region-free announcement Nintendo?).

Re: Capcom Reportedly Planning Western Release of Monster Hunter Frontier G
Subscription? Fine with me. Wish the MHO MMORPG from China would see the light of day for English audiences as well.

Re: The Nikkei Reports Potential Nintendo Smartphone Strategy, to be Announced This Week
If Nintendo made a smart phone I would buy it in a heart beat. I would love to ditch Android, but I don't like any of the alternatives at the moment.

Hoping Nintendo will publish Mother 4 on the eShop. Doubtful though.

Re: Happy Birthday, Wii U - You're One Today
I love the Wii U! Hoping 2014 is a huge year for good games and better sales, but even still, I'll be enjoying the Wii U regardless.
Re: Review: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (Wii U)
@AyeHaley Deus Ex all the way. I've never played the game before and I'm blown away by it. Extremely fun! As @LDXD said "it's a gem."

The nice thing for Wii U owners is we won't have to rely on cell phones for input.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2013 - Autumn / Fall Edition
Although I voted for WW, I'm excited for nearly all the games on the list and I'm going to try my hardest to buy all of them.
Re: Nintendo Has "Nothing To Announce" Regarding Mother 3 Localisation
What is the point of that special MiiVerse announcement community then? There must be something in the works.

Re: Reggie Has Seen The Xbox One And PS4 Launch Lineups, And He Says "Meh"
The Wii U has a lot on the horizon, but I'm worried if there's much of anything planned aside from what we've been shown already.
Hopefully we'll be bombarded with a slew of new title announcements soon, but I'm not too optimistic about it.

I got the same feeling. The way the message came across to me was that the NA demo was a very last minute addition.
