I enjoyed the game overall, but something about it felt a bit stale to me. It was sold as something different than the "New" series by most outlets reviewing it, but it did not feel different enough to me. The boss fights were disappointing, the "New" series did this better. Elephant suit wasn't interesting or that fun to interact with either.
Also, I am really REALLY tired of collecting 3 medals each level just to unlock stuff. Can this stop? Please stop....
I got MK11 on Switch when it was down to $11 for the ultimate version and it ran really well in matches. Online wasn't too bad either, better than Smash Brothers with its terrible input delay whenever there's more than 2 players. So good for them. I'm getting MK1 on PC this time around though.
@KevinP Game testing shouldn't be seen as a dream job. It involves a lot of repetitious game play, constant notation of what you did, replicating bugs you find, etc. It's not like, you get to play through a game and let the devs know what you thought about it. It's more like, jump on this rock a thousand times and let us know if you clipped through the world.
I sincerely do not understand the people who want them to shoehorn another story mode into these games. I gritted my teeth through the Golf one hopeful once I got through it there'd be something else to enjoy in that game (there wasn't).
I'm happily enjoying the online matches in Strikers though. What were people expecting? Did no one play the GameCube game? It had local co-op play and single player tournaments. That.....was....it! That's the game folks. Golf should have had single player tournaments, those were fun and challenging on N64 and GameCube.
I bought this controller when it came out. Had to send the first one back as the face buttons kept getting stuck. They feel cheap as heck too. The new one I got is better? But the A button is borderline sticking and may get worse with time. I dunno....this isn't worth $70 at all.
I played this on PS4. It was some of the most engrossing story-telling I've experienced in a while in gaming. But, boy it got worse toward the end, and the ending was very bad lol. I wouldn't trade my time with it though, and the journey through it was definitely a 9/10 for sure.
@Krull The battles are like 30% of the game, and they are pretty easy. The visual novel stuff takes up most of the game, and re-doing scenes over and over to get new scenes. I loved it though.

Another industry contraction is coming from all this, if you thought layoffs were bad before, brace yourselves.

I get these on Steam now due to performance issues, good on NL for calling them out.

Re: Random: Unlock Bayonetta Origins' Highest Difficulty With A 'Platinum Code'
Meh, I prefer the game as a nice casual story book adventure. I am nearing the end, should be through it soon. Such a great little gem.
Re: TMNT: Shredder's Revenge Update Adds Custom Arcade Mode, CRT Filters, Here Are The Patch Notes
Wow, great changes! One of the best games of the year got even better.
Re: Epic Games To Pay $540 Million Over Allegations Of Privacy Violations And Unwanted Charges
I'm still baffled parents tie credit cards to any device they let their child use. I can't even fathom doing that.

Re: Talking Point: What On Earth Is Going On With Square Enix?
Square is killing it! Couldn't be happier. This kind of output coupled with excellence hasn't been seen since the PS1 days.

Re: Nintendo's Wii Shop Channel Can't Be Accessed Right Now
Good thing the Wii is incredibly easy to hack.
Re: Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp Delayed "In Light Of Recent World Events"
Makes sense, I've been playing the GBA one on my Analogue Pocket anyway.
Re: Review: Chocobo GP - A Surprising Mario Kart 8 Alternative For Final Fantasy Fans
@Rykdrew Another review I read said there's 21 tracks among 9 environments? 21 sounds better than 9 at least lol.
Re: Random: Uh Oh, It Looks Like Steam Deck And Switch Might Have One Thing In Common
Reading through the Reddit post it seems some users are fixing this by re-calibrating the deadzone.
Re: Reminder: You Don't Need The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass To Play The DLC
Interesting, since I only play online anyway might not need to buy it.
Re: Soapbox: I'm Looking Forward To Going To The Past With Pokémon And Ace Attorney
I never got into the Ace Attorney games until this one and man have I been missing out! Loved it.
The new Pokemon game has been absorbing all my time.

Super Mario RPG plz.
Re: Dragalia Lost Becomes Nintendo's Second Most Successful Mobile Game
I play Dragalia still almost every day, but I've never dropped a dime on it.
Re: Play Diablo III In Style With This Nintendo Switch Wireless Controller
@scumsprinkles I really like their d-pads. Much better than the Pro-Controller since you get accidental inputs from that.
