I may or may not pick this up, but most Final Fantasy games (or any RPG, for that matter) tend to overwhelm my younger brother with their difficulty (the only ones he's ever beaten were Pokémon games, and the only non-Pokémon RPG that he's ever even come close to beating is Super Mario RPG). He might like this.
It's comforting to know that Gabbo's still around, to say the least.
But I digress. Definitely better than expected, but still it's amusing to see crap like this and look over at NoA, whose employees are scratching their heads and thinking "Why do people hate WiiWare?! "
Isn't that just swell. Now Nintendo is going back to the useless crap that you either could do with a device that you already owned (Mario Calculator, Animal Crossing Clock), or could do on paper for free (Mixed Messages).
Jesus Christ, you guys are cruel beyond words. I never cared much for her, but my god, do you REALLY have to say that you hope she remains unemployed? What the hell is wrong with you?!
No, really?! A golf game is failing on the Wii, and when we've seen more golf games from EA than we'd care to count! On top of that, the titular individual's name is mud these days!
WHAT A SURPRISE!
Seriously though, just release your golf games less often and TRY SOMETHING NEW. And I could go on forever about how people are unrightfully being asses to Tiger Woods, but that's an entirely different story. For another day.
I'd love to smack the guys who decide what gets released every week. I'd much rather have at least decent updates every two or three weeks than get utter crap every week. They're not even trying anymore.
Complaints aside, a great game and a great review. Melee about on par with Brawl (I think they tried too hard to add extra things... the Coin Launcher really gets on my nerves), IMO.
I can only hear the retro purists complaining about VC now solely because the game is on a collection... even if they got a game on the service this week. Stupid retro purists. Can they EVER be happy with what they've got?
@mjc0961: Uncalled for. You don't have to like the game, but you said that Rare should have listened, and that's basically saying that people who actually enjoy this game should be deprived of it. You don't have to like it, but we'd appreciate it if you didn't say stuff like "This game shouldn't have been made so people who don't have the exact same tastes as me can't play it."
I wonder how Acerocksyourworld will react to this, given that he obviously doesn't know anything yet (there's nothing from him in the comments section...).

Re: Review: Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)
@B-Rex:
If those have been your only RPG experiences, then I'd recommend starting with Mystic Quest. If that's too easy, then you should play other FF games.
Re: Review: Nintendo Countdown Calendar (DSiWare)
@Destroyer: I'm well aware of that, but you know what I meant.

What brooks83 said.
NOA, just give these people their VC titles so they can shut their mouths already.
Re: Review: Despicable Me: The Game (Wii)
Well, what did you expect? This is a game based off a children's CGI movie. Of course it's awful.

Still not interested.
Re: Metroid Co-Creator: Next Nintendo Console Will "Leave Your Mouth Open"

This IS the DS version.
Re: Review: Ivy the Kiwi? (DS)
XSEED made this... On one hand, they made Retro Game Challenge. On another hand, they made Ju-on: The Grudge.
Even so, this looks too good to pass up.

ROFL @ the tagline. That is just gold.
