It's a cool feature, but I probably won't make any use of it personally.
Rather play SSB on a big screen and I can't afford both versions, also noone I know owns a 3DS, so owning that version would mean playing on my own, which isn't great for SSB.
I would sooner play this on my iPad than a 3ds, it has a much bigger screen that's better suited to something like this which needs a fair amount of info to be displayed at once.
Also they probably saw how popular Hearthstone is on iPad and figured it'd make sense.
@Ootfan98 I guess, but it costs 8 Wii U games worth of stars (we don't use coins here) to get enough Wii points for a NES game, and 15 Wii U games for a SNES game.
I guess Club Nintendo is just a pointless system worldwide. Unless you're rich, in which case you don't really need to be using it.
@brewsky fair enough, I guess we just want things we can't have
I don't even bother registering games anymore because I already have a carry case and there's nothing else available, sadly I don't think registering all my games will cover this. It's about 10 games worth of stars.
@BinaryFragger makes sense for the PS3, as the cell thing makes it more different to the XBO and PS4 than the 360 is. But the 360 and Wii U aren't too different I don't think.
I'm not sure how the game detects your region, but if someone really wanted to, could a proxy put him as British?
Not for me personally, I'm from the UK, just wondered. From what I've seen, the UK's skill-level is somewhat lower than the rest of the world, and it would suck if the top 3 were all outside of the UK.
@DiSTANToblivion Yeah, I hit 2 with my red shells and 1 with a bob-omb and although they flipped, they didn't lose any speed, I just put it down to lag, although it is frustrating when weapons like red shells just explode for seemingly no reason.
And yeah, if you get in first and manage to get a bit of a lead, you'll probably win the race, nothing can touch you except blue shells, which are rare in MK8. If you're not in the top 3, you'll be getting red shelled, green shelled, bullet bills, stars and everything under the sun hitting you, as the lower positions are right behind you, so all the powerful weapons are targeting you.
Never took part in one of these tourneys, but I've played many hours playing online with MK Wii and done a few online races with MK8, I should probably practice a tad with the new courses though...
They're also responsible for a lot of the European Harvest Moon releases, first game I played that was published by them was Harvest Moon Grand Bazaar on the DS.
@Hy8ogen latest I've played is Grand Bazaar on my (3)DS, haven't played any of the 3DS ones yet, was waiting for them to get a handle on it before I had a go.
A Wonderful Life on the PS2 was good, and just had a blast finishing Hero of Leaf Valley on my PSVita, so they've managed decent 3d ones in the past.
@Hy8ogen HM64 has the same characters as Back To Nature, but is set in a different village, and character personalities are somewhat different as the games were developed simultaneously and the dev teams went their own way with design.
Both great games if you're into HM though... Also I only seem to comment on stuff related to HM on here...
Just a little explanation here so people know what's going on:
Harvest Moon is a series developed by Marvelous, however the Harvest Moon NAME is a western name used by Natsume for Marvelous's RANCH STORY games, the HM games we're familiar with.
Story of Seasons is a Marvelous game published by XSEED, they can't call it Harvest Moon because Natsume own that name.
The Lost Valley is a game DEVELOPED & PUBLISHED by Natsume, and they're using the HM name for it, but it is NOT a HM game as we know it.
Story of Seasons will likely be the new name for HM in the coming years, unless Marvelous and Natsume get back together. But with Natsume releasing a whole new series using the same name, it looks unlikely.
@MegaWatts the Japanese dual analog did feature vibration feedback, but it was removed from the European and American releases, and reserved for the dual shock.
Never liked the Rumble Pak much, the whole needing batteries thing ruined it for me.
As a note, the PS1 had rumble support before the N64, the Japanese version of the PS1 Dual Analog controller (released 3 days before the Rumble Pak I believe) had vibration feedback.

Re: Talking Point: The Super Smash Bros. 3DS Demo Has Been an Easy Triumph for Nintendo
Don't have a code here, made me very sad, but more excited for the Wii U than the 3DS version, guess I can wait til 19th like most people to try it.
Plus I don't have an XL 3DS, so would probably be a pain to play.

Re: Fret Not, A World of Keflings Is Still On Its Way To The Wii U eShop
Should be good, own both of the Kefling games on the Xbox 360, but never had the DLC for this one, might be worth checking out in the future.
If this is the same as the 360 version, it should have 4 player local and online multiplayer as well, which is always a good thing.

Re: Charming Zelda-Themed Carry Case Appears on European and Australian Club Nintendo Catalogue
Yeah I miscalculated the stars.
You need to register 16 games to get this, or 4 Wii U consoles xD
Re: Charming Zelda-Themed Carry Case Appears on European and Australian Club Nintendo Catalogue
@faint can they still be used for anything though?

Re: Charming Zelda-Themed Carry Case Appears on European and Australian Club Nintendo Catalogue
Doesn't NA get digital games on occasion though?
Incase you haven't noticed, the EU has never had digital games on it. All we get are carry cases, stickers and the occasional soundtrack.
No way NA gets it worse than EU.

Re: The Trending #WiiUDroughtAid Shows That, Actually, There's Plenty to Play on Wii U
Only got my Wii U in June so I've been busy catching up with SM3DW, MK8 and DKCR, so I haven't been short of games to play.
Re: Did You Realise Lone Survivor Was Coming to Wii U Later This Year? Well, It Is
Had this game on my PC for a couple of years, but never really played it.
Also own it on my PS3 and PSV through PS+, I should really get around to it. Seems pretty hard from what little I've played.
Re: Play & Win: UK Mario Kart 8 Tournament - Live!
Lots of lag for me, although didn't affect my racing much.
And yeah, MK tournies are never fair, I got 1 1st place in my first 10 races, but last 2 races I won both because I was against 9 CPU's and 2 players.
Also, you guys do realize the top 10 places are gonna be at 180 points, how you gonna distribute prizes?
Re: Play & Win: UK Mario Kart 8 Tournament this Saturday
@antdickens aha, trust me to forget that, yeah I guess it wouldn't make sense. Thanks
Re: Play & Win: UK Mario Kart 8 Tournament this Saturday
@antdickens What about proxies?

Re: Play: It's The Second Nintendo Life Community GP in Mario Kart 8 - Live!
@randomous yeah, what's up with the red shells in this game too?
So often I fire them and they target someone 3 places above me, or I'm driving and a red shell flies past me and hits the guy in front.
Re: Play: It's The Second Nintendo Life Community GP in Mario Kart 8 - Live!
276 points and I don't think I'm even in the top 20 anymore.
Average of 8.6 points per race isn't bad, but it's noway near good enough in this tournament haha
@TreesenHauser Aha, Jack from America, we were pretty neck and neck for a long time lol

@M_Rudmarker good racing, didn't realise you started after me, had no hope of catching you in the points then
Re: Play: Time for Another Nintendo Life Community GP - 12th July
@arkady77 totally, just went on the NL community on MK, played 10 races, only got 1st in 1 race, got an average of 4th.
Turns out NL community standard is above the worldwide standard.
Re: Play: Time for Another Nintendo Life Community GP - 12th July
Must remember to charge game pad up beforehand, last thing I need is a cable breaking my concentration.
-Hardcore gaming mode initiated, tryhard module booting-
Re: Play: Time for Another Nintendo Life Community GP - 12th July
I'll join.

Re: Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appétit Cooking Up a Treat for 3DS in September
@AVahne Ha, I thought there was only 3. And I own Cooking Mama 3, I'm sad to admit. It was free though, so I guess that's something...

Re: Nintendo Is Sorry That The Wii U's TVii Service Hasn't Launched In The UK Yet
@Boukman It is, but like Australia and New Zealand (And Japan and the rest of Asia), release dates can vary between UK and Continental Europe.
Given how I imagine every country in the EU to have separate TV channels, this is probably a nightmare to do in Europe.
Re: Art Academy Sketchpad App Coming To The Wii U On 9th August
I would say free, it's already out in Japan I think? But generally the Japanese don't inform anyone else about their software.

@skyluigi2 Kevin Butler. He may not be allowed to advertise for other companies, but who can stop him when noone knows he is?
