Lame! I always look so forward to checking the DSiWare titles before I even get out of bed on a Friday morning. I like doing that before I open these threads because I like the surprise. Today I thought I'd check here first and now I'm glad I did. Save me the let down of only finding one new title.

Nice review. This is my first venture into nintendogs, and I'm enjoying it. I gave my pooch a silly name, and find myself talking baby-talk to him. My husband gives me raised eyebrow looks, but I don't care. It keeps me happy and that's what matters.

The price of £175 is including the 20% VAT. Almost always when you read the price of something in the UK the VAT is included.

I'm really glad I ordered one now. (Mine's coming from Morrisons for £187, which isn't bad, either.) When the price was first released I was so bummed out and thought it would be a long time before I would pay that much for a 'toy'. But now the price is coming down and much happier with my decision to pre-order. I'm so psyched to get my hands on this puppy tomorrow!

I really enjoyed flying over Wuhu Island in Wii Sports Resort so this was a must have for me.
(Only 3 more sleeps to go!)

@Singularity - I would have said the exact same thing before trying Art Academy! Click on the link in my post up there to see the pictures I've drawn with the program. I never thought I had any ability to draw at all, but AA really will teach you a lot, and I bet you'll surprise yourself if you give it a try, too.

I liked drawing with Art Academy (DSiWare version) on my DSi so much that I bought an XL just so I could have the larger canvas to work on. It's still my favourite DS 'game'.

The puzzle games look interesting. I enjoy playing Sudoku games and do one nearly every day on my DSi.
But this is why the 3DS touch screen needs to be bigger!

I was hoping there might be more info as to what the difference are. Comparing it to a PSP isn't helpful if you've never used one (like me)

@cyrus_zuo You should try LEGO Harry Potter. It was a lot better than Indiana Jones, who didn't really have any weapons and always was getting beat up. Star Wars was still my favourite of all, but Harry Potter was pretty good too. A least you had spells and it played more like Star Wars where as you had spells to cast like using the Force.

It's gonna be a pain playing as Jack Sparrow with the way he can't even walk in a straight line. It'll be like playing the Star Wars games as Yoda.

But I can't wait! The LEGO games are a favourite in our household.

I've seen some of those Miis on the Mii Channel. I don't exactly want the ones that look like certain body parts showing on my 3DS, thank you very much.

I don't want it smaller, either. I want bigger. I want one with a touch screen that's AT LEAST the size of the DSi's. Between the smaller touch screen and the 3D screen, getting a 3DS is going to be like downgrading to something that I'll struggle to see.

But not only is the console expensive, the games are going to cost a lot more as well. When I think of how much more it's costing me in food, heating and petrol bills right now, I have guilt wanting to spend this much money on myself for a TOY. At least when we bought the Wii is was something to play with my husband.
To put it in perspective: we own one small car, commute together to work, and do very little driving other than that. The price of a 3DS and one game is the equivalent of 3 months worth of petrol.

@SteveW ... I'm with you. I have 17 DSiWare games on my DSi, many of which I'd like to transfer to my new DSi XL. But there's not many I'd want to 'downgrade' to the smaller screen of 3DS.

@Robo-goose I too am disappointed in the touch screen size being smaller than the DSi's. That's my main reason for not getting one now. I'll be squinting to see the thing! It sucks having poor vision!

I knew the price would be way over the top. I can't see myself buying one any time soon.

Why is the 3DS's touch screen smaller than the DSi's screen? What a let down to all us DSi or DSi XL users.

Reading the comments this sort of shovelware generates makes it all worth it to me.

£300?!?!? OUCH!! I'm still undecided how soon I'll buy one, but there's no way I'm paying that much for it. I wouldn't be able to afford any games if I did. I'm still bummed about the size of the touch screen, so I might pass on it and hope for a XL in future.

I was just thinking about the WiiSpeak the other day, wondering if any other games ever made use of it. I actually used it quite a lot while playing Animal Crossing. But no-one ever plays any more, so I packed it away. Shame.

I miss playing with my young nephew. I used to have him come over to help me get through trough spots in the game. It was the only way I could get anywhere in them because so many were really hard to beat!

This absolutely sucks! I've been following the posts on here, and the hype I've seen around the internet. I even went to see Back to the Future in the cinema a few weeks ago, I've been that excited about it all.
Now I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time. Boooo on them!

I've been wanting a DSi XL, so this is the one I'm getting. I love my DSi, but I'd like bigger screens. And for that reason alone the 3DS doesn't appeal to me at all. The bottom screen on the on the 3DS is smaller than the DSi, which is a huge let down to me.

I just told my 'Santa' what I wanted for Christmas: the Mario red DSi XL.

Even with the low rating, I hope this comes out in the UK soon. It's my favourite game to on the computer, which I don't play on much since getting a DSi.

Is this a game that's best if you play in order? Should a person play number 1, before going on to the 2nd one? Or does it not matter?

Awww! I wish that was coming out here! My hubby's dropping hints that I'm getting a DSi XL for Christmas, and I was really hoping for a red one, anyway.

@LuWiiGi .. it's available here. I gave it a go, and stumbled my way through some features on it. It seemed a handy way to watch something on the TV that I'd normally watch through computer.

Is this a game you can only buy with another Wii remote? 'Cos I certainly don't need another one, even if Motion Plus is already built in. I've got enough Wii paraphernalia to fill a basket as it is.

Those colours are ... well .... kinda yucky! I've been holding off getting one, waiting for something better than the original colours, but these aren't that great.

I'll get this. I nearly always have my DSi with me, and I do access the calendar on the photo album at times. For 200 points, it looks like a bargain.
