Re: Nintendo Zone Launched in Europe

Victoria

That's pretty cool. It was neat checking the map to see what's available nearest to me. Not that I need it, but it's always fun checking Letter Box for messages and sending notes with snapshots of what I'm up to that day.

Re: Shaun the Sheep Reveals All in 'Raising the Baaaaa!'

Victoria

That was really nice! I just love these episodes we're getting. They are such a joy to watch. I've played each one a few times and would gladly pay for them if it meant we could keep them. Hopefully folks in other regions will get to see them, too.

Re: Nintendo Download: 26th April 2012 (Europe)

Victoria

I waited a year for Inchworm and it comes out on the heals of Colors 3DS, which I'd much rather have. Their loss as far as I'm concerned. They waited too long and I've lost interest. No-one I know in NA is still using it, so I won't be getting it - at least not any time soon.

Re: UK Chart Results Are Less Than Golden for Nintendo

Victoria

What doesn't help is not really having a shop that stocks the games! I would have bought Mario Party 9 when I had money to burn, but Game didn't stock it. So instead I ended up buying an old DS game and a few computer games. When I finish playing those I'll get Mario Party though Amazon, and maybe by then there'll be a price drop.

Re: Nintendo Europe Boss Goes Direct With Swapnote

Victoria

@Portista - The message says:
Hello! I'm Satoru Shibata from Nintendo of Europe.
We'll present a new Nintendo Direct!
on 21st April 1pm CET Please check EUR Ninteno Site.
I hope that you'll enjoy it!! even if my English is not good ..... (then he drew a smiley face.)

Re: Inchworm Animation Reaches Europe Next Week

Victoria

FINALLY!! After all this time. I'd honestly given up on it. But no fair finally releasing here at such a higher cost and just after Colors 3DS. I'm waiting till payday to get Colors, so this one's gonna have to wait longer.
@Morpheel - Though... after what you said, I might wait a lot longer. I didn't realize that you didn't get into it?

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th April 2012 (Europe)

Victoria

The Shaun the Sheep videos are brilliant. I watch all of them a couple of times knowing that they're only available for a week. I'd gladly buy them if it were an option to keep them.
As for this weeks downloads I'm getting Colours! Glad it actually came out here.

Re: Nintendo UK Unleashes 2012 Tour Dates

Victoria

Birmingham is a bit of a drive for me as well .... but oh! to be one of the first 3 in to get the free game! LOL... What a joke.
I wouldn't mind going though just to see if I could get some Street Passes.

Re: 3DS Celebrates First Birthday in Europe

Victoria

I just love my 3DS. I still play every day, and carry it around whenever I go out. For it's 1st birthday I bought a 2nd charging cradle to use upstairs, and new screen protectors. Only the best for my 3DS
My favourite part of the 3DS right now is Letterbox. I have so many nice friends (most of them people here on NintendoLife) that really make it a lot of fun.

Re: GAME Group Files for Administration

Victoria

How sad. I've been expecting it though. In the last 2 weeks I've been in 4 different Game shops and haven't found anything to spend my remaining credit on. Now it's even more pressing.

Re: Feature: The Evolving Role of Swapnote

Victoria

I love the app. I have a lot of great friends - most of whom I met here on NintendoLife - and we share notes daily. In an email type post I suppose they would seem boring, or even like Spam. Because they're all hand written and can include photos and drawings, they are fun to read, and so much more personally than a typed instant message.

I do worry about my friends who don't get on it very often. How many posts they must have and how overwhelming it must feel to not have the time to answer. If I see people aren't replying to my posts, or our mutual friends posts, I stop sending to them. I'd hate to add to mountain of posts when they don't have time for it.

Re: GAME Not Selling Mario Party 9

Victoria

Boy, it's really sounding serious. It's the only decent gaming shop that I go to. The staff at the ones that I've been in have always been real nice, decent folks. I'd hate to see them go out of business.

Re: Iwata Hints at Upcoming Swapnote Update

Victoria

I believe the reason there is a limit on "ink" is really because it's a limit on file size. As you're writing, it is recording it as you write, or draw, so the more you draw, the longer the recording. It's like a little mini movie. That's gotta be why there is a limit on the ink. It's a file size limit.

Re: Iwata Hints at Upcoming Swapnote Upgrade

Victoria

It would be nice to find a way to organize the notes. And a way to delete multipul posts at once would be handy. I hit the 3000 post mark yesterday thinking that they would start deleting the old ones automatically ... NOPE. I had to go back and do them all one by one.

Re: Review: Doodle Fit (DSiWare)

Victoria

I'm with @battLeToaD on this one. It's my kind of game as well. Something to pick up and play in a relaxing sort of way. I often only have snatches of time to play and puzzle games are great for that. I'm glad this one got a good review so I'll be getting it.

Re: Review: Nintendo Letter Box (3DSWare)

Victoria

I'd give it at least an 8 as well. I think it's great fun and have some really creative friends who really show this off well. It's nice to finally have something useful to buy with those Play Coins.

My only real gripe with it is there is no way to organise the letters. It gives the option of making them a Favourite, so they won't get deleted when the maxium of 3000 messages is reached. But try going back to find them again when there are hundreds of message isn't easy.

Re: Nintendo Donates 5,000 3DS Consoles to The Louvre

Victoria

I hate those audio guides as well, and I hate getting stuck behind the people listening to them. They look like such dweebs. I'd rather discuss what I'm seeing with people I'm with or even the strangers around me than listen to those boring monologs with their fake re-enactment sound effects.
Anyway ... I really don't think Nintendo thinks the 3DS is going to help visitors get more from the museum .... they're hoping to sell more 3DSs.

Re: Feature: Celebrating 10 Years of Animal Crossing

Victoria

Animal Crossing is my most played game of all time. I loved playing on the Wii with WiiSpeak. I live far from my birthplace, and hardly ever get to see my family and friends back home. Playing AC brought 'friends' into my home for the first time since moving away. When we'd play online it was like having friends round the visiting me .. not just playing the game.
I just can't wait for it to come out on the 3DS.

Re: Talking Point: The Overcrowded Holiday Release Schedule

Victoria

Not only is it a bad time now to have all the games coming out at once, I don't have any time to sit down and play. This close to the holidays I have too much to do in real life that I can't take time to do more than glance at the news games I downloaded recently. I really wanted Mario Kart 7 on release, but knew I wouldn't have time to play it until after the holidays. So it's just as well asking for it as a gift. But again that means the other cool games will be put on hold.

Re: Nintendo Doesn't Want a 3DS Price Situation on Wii U

Victoria

I desperatly wanted my 3DS at launch, and was a bit bummed that the price dropped later. (The embassador games didn't impress me one bit.) But that wouldn't have stopped me getting it on day one. I didn't mind playing my normal DS games on it while enjoying it's new features.

But with the Wii U, I feel differently. I'm actually more for holding off until a game comes out that I REALLY want, or the price drops. I've lost a bit of faith in Nintendo in that sense. I wouldn't be so willing to buy a new flash console, and then have nothing to play on it but old games I've had for years. And I'm not going to pay a huge sum of money for a game to hold me over till something good comes out (something I did with my 3DS).
