It's that time of year when Nintendo takes its wares on the road across the UK, with the first three events dated.
Visitors to the tour can try out Mario Tennis Open, battle and trade AR cards for Kid Icarus: Uprising and play Pandora's Tower. The first three people into the show — steady on, Nintendo — will each take home a free copy of the game, while lazier attendees can console themselves with a poster.
Update: Nintendo has also confirmed anyone who takes their copy of Kid Icarus: Uprising to the stand can walk away with a pack of AR cards.
Here are the dates so far, with more to be announced:
Birmingham — Kitacon
13th, 14th & 15th April
Bristol — Bristol Comic Expo
12th & 13th May
London — London Comic Con MCM Expo
25th, 26th & 27th May
Expect more dates to be announced via the Nintendo UK website in the future.
NINTENDO UNLEASHED!
- Nintendo announces launch of Unleashed tour for 2012 -
5th April 2012, Nintendo today announced the return of its Unleashed tour for 2012-2013, once again giving avid gamers the chance to play all the latest games before they are on general release at a series of events, up and down the UK.
Nintendo has confirmed the first three events as part of the Unleashed tour, including Kitacon and London MCM Expo. Across the tour, fans will have the opportunity to get their hands on the latest games before they hit the shops, get exclusive goodies and maybe even meet a special Nintendo guest along the way!
It’s an open invite for those keen to get involved with the tour’s multiplayer action to battle it out for ultimate gamer status. The large shows will also have dedicated blogging zones allowing fans to log on and spread the word about their gaming experiences.
Kicking off with a bang later this month at Kitacon in Birmingham (13-15th April), Nintendo Unleashed will be celebrating the latest RPG on Wii, Pandora’s Tower, which launches on Friday 13th April. The first 3 people into the show will win a copy of the game, exclusive posters will be available to all attendees and the game itself will of course be available for trial throughout the event.
Nintendo 3DS title Mario Tennis Open, which launches on Nintendo 3DS on 25th May, will be available to trial for the first time ever in the UK!
What’s more, fans will be able to play the biggest game to hit Nintendo 3DS this year, Kid Icarus: Uprising, and celebrate the revival of hero Pit with a dedicated Swap Shop and battle zone for the collectible AR Cards.
For more information check out www.nintendo.co.uk/events which will be updated with events throughout the tour.

It's nice that there are some events, but I'll complain on behalf of those further north of the locations. All of those cities are quite a few hours drive for me, and I live just outside Edinburgh: actually the capital city of Scotland. There really should be an event in Edinburgh, Glasgow or even Newcastle.
Still, rant over, and it's good that some will be able to go hands on with these titles.
This is one of many reasons why i'm moving to Europe when I get older. This probably won't even get released in the u.s.
i`ll definitly be going to the MCM expo, it`s definitly one of the better expo`s of the year in london.
any wrestling fans out there may want to go for there aswell because the FWA usually turns up to each MCM event. they`re deffinitly good fun to watch inbetween all of the other stuff that goes on.
I'm going to the London one later on when I prepare but I definately will try out Mario Open Tennis and tell a few others to come.
Birmingham is a bit of a drive for me as well .... but oh! to be one of the first 3 in to get the free game! LOL... What a joke.
I wouldn't mind going though just to see if I could get some Street Passes.
