I really hope they weave together the different characters you play like how they did in titles like Suikoden 2. Instead of just having 8 different questlines with the only difference is what your special ability that you use in towns. I still liked the game as I enjoyed the different classes and combat, but story-wise they have a long way to go. And all that level farming plus cheese strat in order to finish the optional last boss doesn't do the game any favours. As I'm starved for a turn based jrpg it's going to be an instant buy anyways.
Took them 5 years to put in the code to allow us to put things in folders, and they still didnt get it right. Even the Wii U has a better system for it; when you put games in a folder, they aren't shown on the home screen until you open up the folder. Utter useless!
Holy shirt what a terrible song. Fast forward to any time in and and it sounds exactly the same from where you were. I was hoping for a more spaced out song like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIqDM0ubn5E
100% one of the bosses got an obsession with names based on geometry ever since (Project) Octopath Traveller was released, we can only pray they used more of their imagination in making of the actual game.
It's unreal how out of touch Nintendo are from their playerbase. And how they failed to port all Metroid games, either as a collection or single games before Dread was released to the Switch. This has to be one of the worst decisions for easy money that they didn't seem to have the intellect to anticipate. It was so obvious Metroid Dread would be a blockbuster, yet they let down their players and shareholders (which they seem to care the most of). I for one bought what was available at the Wii U shop that I didn't own already, but unfortunately Samus returns is not available there and I'm not buying an overpriced GBA and cartridge just for one game.
@Pokester99 Just because everyone that ever has had drifting issues are very vocal about it on internet doesn't mean it's a huge issue. I got four joycons and a pro controller, zero issues here. The Pro controller on the other hand has the biggest design flaw ever seen in a controller, and still it's addressed the least, which I find odd as it's present in all of them and not just a few (the d-pad). But I guess it's because most use the working non-drifting joystick for walking instead?
@moodycat The world isnt just black and white you know. Ever heard of guilty pleasure? For instance what I thought was a great game as a kid, but as I grew older and developed into a more complex human being, I come to realize was terrible. But I will still love it today, because it has a sentimental value to me. Its nothing uncommon, as it holds true in many other things you in life like movies, food, music etc, your perspective of things change as you grow older.
@Moistnado If you dont understand Jim Carreys acting thats fine, but to say its not acting is just silly and downright wrong as its a huge part of his success and what makes alot of his movies funny.
Octopath Travellerer. Then the inferior copypasted Bravely Default that kept alot of visuals but not the good parts, couldnt even play through the demo. This one atleast looks better. But the lack of imagination for the name is laughable and I hope they change it, I guess they felt since they removed the Project from Octopath Traveller they had one to spare..
@suikoden I never finished it on Ps2 so I bought it for Switch. And man, the dialogue from the hero and that other Wakka or whatever his name is, is just so obnoxious and immature that I cringe every time they open their mouths so I had to put down the game for that very reason.
I would prefer japanese like I did for DQ 11, or no voices at all.
Damn your nick, I would love some new Suikoden games, the III on Ps2 is probably one of my favorite games of alltime with the mood they set from the intro music to all different peoples views you got to play to and how their stories intertwined with eachother to decorating your own castle.
@Matthew010 : They may have lost their lives. But its not about them. its about humour while making a comparison, which you never seem to have had. The claim the pro controller is the best accessory is at best outrageous, which my comparison had to be in order to drive home the point. but then again, you dont seem to be the type interested in having fun.
@Kalmaro Except that it has the words d-pad in human history. It would be like having an aviation award and naming Boeing 737 MAX best airplane of the year, when clearly its far from the truth.
I really wanted to love this game. I waited patiently for years for it to get released. But there is alot of small things that bother me immensely, like poorly made boss fights with clunky controls and poorly executed swap of form or spells which is not as intuitive and polished as it should have been (why not continously tap ZR /ZL to cycle through them without having to go into options?! Dragons trap is far superior in my book.
@Miles_Edgeworth When I first saw Bayonetta 2 demo on Wii U I wasnt sure if I would like the game. But after downloading the demo I got sold on it right away. I truly hope that they have a demo for Astral Chain aswell to make my choice easier.
