Re: Preview: Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

@nintendolife: Wait, no word on the controls? Why?

Isn't it worse to control because of only having 1 stick? I've read some opinions that it can be really annoying to capture some ghosts...

@ Miss_Rarity & "Thinking about Maboshi's Arcade... any enjoyed that one?"

It's one of my favourite WiiWare games, go and get it! (But it would be better for the developers to buy it^^.)

Re: Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!

@James: Yes and no^^. I mean, when you click on the "Reply"-button, there will be a "@Tethers"-link in your comment. When I click on this, it directs me to the profile of the person (in this case, me^^). But it would be better if the link takes me to the comment you are answering on. For example in your comment the link of "@Tethers" should link to:

https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2012/02/welcome_to_the_new_look_nintendo_life#comment1074663

(And I know, sorry for my bad English^^.)

Re: Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!

@Nintendolife: It woul be really cool if the link, when you click on "Reply", would be direct you to the comment instead of the profile, because then you can read on what subject the member is answering. Is that possible?

@Yanchamaru & "Would love a user review option that allows us to write and grade the game"

@ Nintendo Life: Yeah, to grade a game was a very nice feature at that time on your Virtual Console site.

@VintageBoy & "I can't help but notice one particular aesthetic - those big links and chunky buttons seem decidedly... smartphone-friendly. Plans for a mobile NL on the cards?"

Read the news^^.

Re: Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!

@antdickens: All right, thanks for the info! =)

(Although it would be better to have an extra page or to add these options to the existing RSS-page, so that you can choose from the different sections, because I think in the future I will forget this^^.)

Re: Icon Games: "Nintendo's Policies Put Jobs at Risk"

Tethers

@Hawker & "if you make bad games they won't sale no matter what the company's policy is"

Maybe, but on other services you get at least your money from the games you've sold...

Also: The problem with WiiWare is, that sometimes even good games doesn't sell well, for example because it is hard to get a Demo online...

Re: Icon Games: "Nintendo's Policies Put Jobs at Risk"

Tethers

@Token_Girl: "Just because there games weren't great doesn't mean they don't have a point. How well do GOOD games do on WW as opposed to Steam, App Store, PSN/XBLA, ect.

Maybe that's why we're not seeing many good games on WW. Studios with their stuff together know better than to bother."

So true...

Re: Icon Games Breaks WiiWare Sales Figures Silence

Tethers

@James & "but I think it only includes those who have played the game for over one hour, which potentially misses out a lot of sales too"

This should not be the case, because the thing with the one hour was, that then you have the chance to rate the game, not that this is the moment when the system takes you into the database.

Re: First NES Game Hits 3DS Virtual Console in Japan Today

Tethers

Even if it is to "difficult" for Nintendo to make a standardized account to use a game on two platform, at least they could have offered a service to transfer games between the Wii and 3DS, similar to the "DSiWare transfer" thing, so that you can't play them on the Wii anymore.

Re: First NES Game Hits 3DS Virtual Console in Japan Today

Tethers

@ James: "It's a choice just like most other purchases."

No it's not, because I already payed a high price for a digital copy of a 25 year old game. Also it would be very customer-friendly to offer such a service, like Sony does it. I mean we are talking about 5, 10 or 20(!!!) years old games for such a relative high price, that it would be almost a matter of course to provide something like this. It is even possible on mobile phones, to use an app on different devices with the same account...

And even if Nintendo don't want to do this: Why don't give the people who already bought the game a discount, for example 75%?

Oh, I forgot, Nintendo never heard of discounts...

Re: First NES Game Hits 3DS Virtual Console in Japan Today

Tethers

Why should this be awesome? They already released this game on the Wii, and if they keep this speed we have to wait again many years to get the the same games already available on the Wii Virtual Console. And if you own it on your Wii, their is no way to connect your accounts to play this on your 3DS. No, instead you have to pay AGAIN...
