What I didn't enjoy was the fact that your only saved file was ALWAYS suspend data, never a permanent file.
Let me tell you, working all the way to the final boss and having your nephew load the only save file and then turning it off isn't exactly a happy experience.
I myself used the Super Game Boy a lot when I was a kid, my brother would even draw on the screen while I played, and we'd switch off. It was so fun to play like that!
It's sad that these kinds of features weren't available for eShop Virtual Console titles. If Nintendo remembers this thing, it'd be nice to see it in some sort of update.
@24 KomicZ Man, if layers are really there, I'll buy it in a heartbeat. I always hated how the original didn't use layers, but from what I read off the interview, it only said that layers will be used for depth so that you can paint things in different perspectives. I'm hoping this means layers can be used for things like coloring under lineart on the same "depth", because it really helps as a cartoonist to have something like that.
Also, what's with these people saying "Wi-Fi" when they're only talking about local wireless? It's extremely misleading. Oh well, at least I'll always have openCanvas 1.1 for my online drawing needs.
Can't wait to see more on this, though. I'm actually a bit excited.
Like I said on the forum topic, there's also the option that there is a statue ability that works like Kirby's stone ability on Kirby Super Star: He can transform, but he can randomly transform into other things as well.
I can see that happening with Mario's statue, randomly transforming into Luigi.
If only they had the power to make the 3DS louder, they'd be perfect. As it is, the 3DS is useless as an MP3 player because the max volume isn't even that loud, and is pretty much volumeless unless you're in a room that's really quiet.
If these headphones can pull off that feat, consider me sold. Heck, I want them now anyway! (Here's hoping that in-line remote works on an iPod Touch as well!)
Man, all this stuff warioswoods is saying about the bottom screen makes me think about how cool it'd be to be sent to the bottom screen at some portions of the game to play as a 2D sprite in a 2D world. A mini side scrolling Mario in the veins of the NES Super Mario Games.
With all these colors, it makes me wonder if it would've been better to go the route of the Game Boy Micro: face plates. Maybe more like actual skins too.
As an early adopter these new colors are making me feel a little more and more screwed, but that's life. Don't get me wrong, I love my 3DS to death, but it really makes me wonder why colors are so limited upon launch, especially with all the flavors at E3.
Oh well, enough complaining, good on those who like white. Also, @Koops3, I lol'd.
People who think it deserves less than a 9 obviously haven't played the multiplayer, or have at least played multiplayer with some really bad teammates.
I too loved the N64 controller, but.....all of my controllers are way worn down from long, hard plays of Super Smash Bros. My Gamecube controllers didn't fare well against the might of Melee, either.
Thank god the Classic Controller's sticks are fine, even after all the Brawling I do!
@Ludwig You don't actually wave the system around, you move it gently to aim. Besides, it's just an option in Zelda, and you really don't have to tilt it very far to get a good effect. Odds are it's going to be like that in this game as well.
@smashbrawler331 Really? I found it much more accurate than using the circle pad, with the only hindrance being a shaky hand, which isn't something to blame on the game.
Probably the best way to sum it up, honestly. I feel Ocarina of Time was a pretty good example on how to make a working camera in a third person adventure game without a second stick. If only more companies took notice of this.
Thank god they're not using that other music for this trailer. Still, it could be better.
Back on topic, though, I'm so glad to see more than just three minigames for once! They aren't all very exciting but I gotta say that Kirby Quest looks like a lot of fun.
And to think I was wondering about a Kirby RPG a couple weeks ago...
I just got done with all these downloads. It took forever to download them individually, but I finally got 'em!
I still find it hilarious that people thought these games would fill up their SD cards. I'm sure someone's going to say "But the GBA games are bigger!", but really, they're only a couple MB big anyway, and will not fill up that 2GB card that came with your system.
If anything, I'm more surprised to see people actually enjoyed it. Oh well, I guess it really is "different strokes for different folks", which I will gladly respect.
I assume it got a 4/10 because it at least did something that it promised: Making pottery.
Ah, great, looks like I'm not the only one who wants that awesome Nintendo retro theme with their Tetris fix. That was what sold Tetris DS to me. Oh, and the wealth of interesting game modes. Hopefully this one's to the same caliber!
Hm...I'll have to keep an eye on this. Physics-based gameplay was never my favorite kind of thing ( Especially in platformers ), but hopefully this'll be something for me to enjoy whenever it comes out.

Re: Review: Wario World (GameCube)
Holy crap, back then, I heard nothing but good things about this game. o-o
What a surprise.

Oh darnit, now it's going to get worse lol

I love it!

Now, Nintendo, how about something like this?

Re: Explore Skyward Sword's Skyview Dungeon
@Link79
I liked Twilight Princess a lot, and to call it a OoT clone is as ignorant as calling Nintendo "kiddy".
However, there was a certain magic that was lost with Twilight Princess compared to the other 3D Zeldas such as OoT and WW.
Even so, it's not a bad game at all, and hate with Twilight Princess is just from being a snob. Same thing goes for Other M.

Re: Review: Tetris Axis (3DS)
You know, after how cool it was to have Tetris DS Nintendo themed, you'd think other companies would follow suit.
Come on, now, how cool would it have been to actually have some sort of Bomberman mode?
I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thinks Tetris DS is the best version due to its Nintendo theme.
That said, if this is available for really cheap, I'll get it.

Re: Keiji Inafune's King of Pirates is the Cutest Pirate Game Ever
Now we wait and see what the heck this game's going to be.
Nice animation, but...I really wish they'd show actual gameplay, or at least show what kind of game this'll be.
Oh well, time to play the waiting game. I have high hopes for this.
Re: Nintendo Japan Unveils Ice White 3DS Console
Nintendo, why do you do this to us?
With all these colors, it makes me wonder if it would've been better to go the route of the Game Boy Micro: face plates. Maybe more like actual skins too.

Re: A Whole World of Super Mario 3D Land Artwork
Oh man, that not-dead eerie is one of the most adorable things ever.
...Needs a tanuki tail, though.
Re: Nintendo Reveals Zelda: Skyward Sword Trailer
Man, trailers that show things that were in other trailers that we've already seen are the best.
(They're not.)
Somehow, though, it's only got me more pumped for this, so I guess it's served it's purpose.
Re: Sonic Generations Japanese Site Opens with New Details
I'm sure it was already said that Sonic's friends will make an appearance ( A LOT of 'em ), but the only characters you'll play as is Sonic and Sonic.
People are so paranoid these days.

Oh god, 1:23 came out of nowhere. X)
Re: Review: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy)
From what these comments say, games that aren't impossible difficulty or 30+ hours long should have points taken off.
Okay.

Re: Here's How Super Mario 3D Land's Gyroscope Controls Work
So, I guess people whining about the gyroscope have never played Ocarina of Time 3D? Aiming with the gyroscope was amazing in that game.
Re: GameStop Has Tanooki Mario Keychains For Your Pre-Order
It's like they knew I was going to preorder. o-o
Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword Video is a Real Treasure
Wait, people actually liked hunting down, and using the grappling hook to get treasure in The Great Sea? Different strokes, I guess...
Re: Rumour: Yoshi 3DS, Super Mario 3D Land Demo and More
@38 JakobG
In all honesty, quite a few games were asking for it on the SNES, Yoshi's Island and Zelda: A Link to the Past being prime examples.

Re: SEGA's Rhythm Thief Stealing Its Way West

I assume it got a 4/10 because it at least did something that it promised: Making pottery.
Re: Musical Mario Toys Hit Japan, Score Continuous 1-Ups
Now that's just adorable.
Coming soon to eBay for 50$ each!
Re: These Are The 10 NES Ambassador Games in Japan
No Super Mario Bros. 3?
Does this mean...
...there's a chance...
...that it'd be a 3D Classic??
If that is true, I will die a happy man forever. Seriously!
Sorry for typing like that, I was just overwhelmed at the possibility.
( Though I guess if it means that Super Mario Advance 4 really is coming as a GBA game to download, that'd be fine, too. )
Re: Tetris: Axis Swings By 3DS on 2nd October

Re: New Stills From SEGA's Emperor Napoleon Rhythm Game
Hmm...if it really will be as good as Elite Beat Agents ( Hopefully even better! ) I'll just have to get it. Hope to see more news on this soon!
Re: Feature: Wii Controllers - What Could Have Been
I'm with JakobG on this.
Those hands are like having skinny and fat hands at once, in all the wrong ways.
Re: Review: Gargoyle's Quest (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy)
Was waiting for this, now I just need an eShop card!
Re: Inflatable Wii Karts Finally Blow Up In Europe
You really have to think like a kid here. Like, REALLY, because I can already see kids enjoying something like this.
Re: New Kirby Wii Shots Brighten Up Our Day
Second screenshot:
Kirby, Kirby, and Kirby confirmed for Kirby Returns to Dreamland.
This makes me all kinds of happier.
Re: Metal Slug-Style Action From Cinemax Coming to DSiWare
...Multiplayer?
Seriously, the lack of multiplayer was an awful thing to happen in Metal Slug 7, since a lot of the fun comes with playing with a buddy.
If this has multiplayer, it'll be an instant-buy!
Re: NightSky Coming to 3DS eShop
Hm...I'll have to keep an eye on this. Physics-based gameplay was never my favorite kind of thing ( Especially in platformers ), but hopefully this'll be something for me to enjoy whenever it comes out.
Re: Review: 3D Classics: Urban Champion (3DSWare)
This score is higher than I expected. I guess it really did out-do our low expectations....but not by much. Barely any.
Kudos on the review, though, you wrote more than I thought you would!
Re: Talking Point: What If Nintendo Became a Third Party?
@58
Thank you. I've been waiting for that.
Anyone seen WaltzElf? I figured he'd be one of the first to comment on this.
Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword Hits Europe on 18th November
Three months still feels like forever to me.
Can't wait!
Re: Nintendo Download: 18th August 2011 (Europe)
Don't confuse "Classic" with "Old".
