Re: Super Mario Galaxy Director was Kept in the Dark About Wii U

Teh-Ray

Man, I was really hoping that biased site after biased site, this place would be the one to come to for positive Nintendo reactions.

Oh well, at least I get a good laugh.

In all honesty, hearing that they finally got word and will probably produce a quality Mario title again has made me excited. Super Mario Galaxy 3, perhaps? Not sure where else to go after space...

( Though, honestly, I hope it's something new! )

Re: Zelda is No Longer Royalty in Skyward Sword

@bro2dragons

Actually, if I recall correctly, in Zelda II, the Princess Zelda is put under a curse that was caused by her bratty brother. Feeling ashamed, he called for every newborn princess to be named "Zelda".

"A long time ago the Prince of Hyrule had tried to obtain the Triforce, but Zelda refused to tell him the location of it. In order to extract the information from her, he brought in a Magician to interrogate her. Unable to find out any information, the wizard cast a sleeping spell on her, which also resulted in his own death. The prince, being unable to reverse the spell, had his sister placed in the castle tower, in the hope that she would one day be awakened. He decreed that all females born to the royal family from that point on would be named Zelda, in remembrance of this tragedy."

In other news, we got motion controls, and now this story is probably going to be another thing people will whine about. Personally, I'm all for it, though it all comes down to how great the gameplay will be, which I know it will be!

@WaltzElf

He had it in the second or third paragraph before, however this is revised. I guess he realized the multiplayer doesn't work and changed it.

Re: Review: Tennis (Game Boy)

Teh-Ray

Wait, this actually has multiplayer for the 3DS Virtual Console? Please tell me that's true, and not a typo, because that would be the best thing about these Virtual Console games.

Re: Sakurai Talks Connecting Smash Bros 3DS and Wii U

Teh-Ray

If by "Custom character" you mean "Create your own Nintendo hero" then count me in. I was always hoping for something like that, even though they'll probably mess it up in the process!

Now, if they could get balancing issues sorted out by some sort of update rather than having to rely on hacking like the Brawl community did, that'd be the best ever.

Re: Iwata: "We've Finally Reached the Digital Sales Starting Line"

Teh-Ray

Man, am I glad I haven't been spoiled by the XBox Live Marketplace nor the PSN, as it makes this all the more amazing.

No, I'm not calling people who use that kind of thing spoiled, I'm sure the Live Marketplace and PSN are a lot better than this, but I'm just speaking from the point of someone who never had that experience. I guess this thing is really just for people like me who sticks to just Nintendo consoles. How lucky.

Re: Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions

Teh-Ray

Wow. Nintendo's eShop says this game's out now. Either the internet needs to update that it is, or Nintendo has to fix something! ( Most likely the latter ).

Seriously, I was pretty excited, but hesitant. I hope to see more about this soon, especially a review!

Re: Miyamoto: "3DS Could Be a Convenient Wii U Controller"

Teh-Ray

I was one of the few who actually liked the GBA connecting to the Gamecube. Everyone had a GBA anyway, so all we had to do was buy the cables.

If 3DS sales pick up to the point that everyone has a 3DS like how it was the with DS, this could work nicely indeed.

I'll cross my fingers for this.

Re: Wii U Uses 25GB Discs and Lacks GameCube Compatibility

Teh-Ray

People are disappointed about this too, but at least people here seem to be more mature and understanding about this rather than what I read on Joystiq.

I myself will never understand why people get so uppity about this kind of thing. This, and the DSi dropping Gameboy Advance compatibility, seems to cause more drama than it needs to. At least NintendoLife seems to have evaded that drama.

All in all, if you REALLY need to play that badly, it's not like there's no other way to play them. Get an old system for cheap, or keep your old one.

Re: Nintendo Announces Picture Lives! for 3DS eShop

Teh-Ray

Ah good, I was wondering if I was the only one who was thinking "Drawn to Life". Apparently not.

Too bad no drawing is to be seen, I'd love to put my artistic skills to the test again! There was always a charm going through the game as a character you drew, it would have been nice to do that again with a bit more refinement to the formula.

Oh well, we'll see what happens!

Re: Review: Super Mario Land (Game Boy)

Teh-Ray

Man, you sure wrote quite a bit on a game that's quite the classic! Were these based on impressions from not playing this game for a long time, or did you somehow not play this game before and these are your first impressions?

This, I must know!
