I don’t know why Nintendo doesn’t ask companies to make an upgrade path. Have it cost money. Because right now many people are like I’ll just get it on PS5. And why would square care- they’re still selling their game. Like release it on switch one with an upgrade path and keycard on switch 2. Seems like an easy win to push companies to do. And not have people go to a competitor.
@WhiteUmbrella yeah, and that’s why they should charge for a switch 2 upgrade. No one is forcing you to buy the upgrade but if you have a switch 2, want physical, you’re just leaving money on the table. Thats what squareenix shareholders should be asking- why do you keep leaving money on the table? I got fantasy life from playasia and gladly paid the upgrade cost and would have paid more honestly.
No keycard or if you want more money let me give you more money to upgrade a switch one cart to switch 2. Hell, package a switch one cart with an upgrade pack in the switch 2 box. Either way- I want to give you my money for good consumer action. Guess they don’t like money.
Maybe the devs can go with some other company to publish a game cart with all the content on it. I bet it’d get here before first press games gets their run out.
Just wanna say, as an American, I love British humor as much as the American stuff. And if I can enjoy a show as esoteric as Toast of London, then I most certainly will enjoy the the dulcet tones of Jackie Daytona in this game. Glad that regular human bartender continues to get work.
My biggest hope from all this is the Pokémon company puts more effort in creating a less buggy experience and tries to innovate a little more realizing they need to work for the top spot. Not sure why everyone is so tribalistic over Pokémon- nostalgia, maturity, not sure. But this really is a great opportunity for a better product in Pokémon for the future.
Glad I just bought Link from across the Atlantic on eBay from some bloke in the UK. (Am I Britishing it correctly?) All to finish my collection at nearly triple the price.
@Grail_Quest similar to me. My brother and I bought the game. And because we were kids, things were expensive. We played the hell out of it. Could not get off that beach until game informer or Nintendo power had a guide and I was able to finally figure it out. But yeah- definitely not one of the games to be placed alongside Out of this World and Flashback.
Maybe they should do like Cyberpunk 2077 and pull the game and fix it up. Then release it when complete/fixed so players who bought it get the update free and those who didn’t buy it get a chance to buy a game in a finished state.

Nintendo knew to keep this a secret. It would have taken all the focus of ToTK. Well played Nintendo. Well played.

No mention of “Lester the Unlikely” as inspiration. Missed opportunity.

Challenger approaching: Professor Layton. Poking your eye out with his "I got it" finger motion and hint coin rain.
I was actually surprised they chose the villager, I was expecting Tom Nook, finally some payback.
