Nice review, Thomas.
Since I've played Partners in Time I wasn't all that impressed with the Mario and Luigi games. They are much too easy. Especially the combat system. In Mario and Luigi, you basically can dodge every single attack that's thrown at you, and you can easily make it through several battles without taking damage at all. This series never had the right challenge for me, I'm not a M&L gamer.
@laughingman0 You obviously don't know making peace when you see it, don't you? You simply waste my time with the continuous banter. It seems just as well you have plenty of time.
1. Yes, they aren't available. One site had Mario Kart 7, but then again, they didn't.
2.Sony should pay for the fact that they barely tried with the PSP. That's why more buy the DS systems.
3.I hope you have your head straight, we're talking about flash cartridges.
4.You simply don't notice that honesty brings more sales to Nintendo.
5.You do know that people who don't know that this exists won't look it up at all? And for another thing I don't mean DS versions of 3DS games. I mean games that DS systems can handle. You are thinking too far here.
6.People who want to try homebrew either have to download one of those horribly coded emulators, or use the better option. This.
7. Wasting "you" time? Either that was a typo or you just spell horribly. And I won't really do this once you respond, simply because 1. I don't care what happens on this board, 2. it takes time to type these, and 3. I simply am busy. Goodbye, I don't care at all what you say now!
Hey, all of my counters were short and easy to think of. TROLOLOLOLOLOL!
@laughingman0 You really live up to your NL name, don't you?
First of all, I watched that petty YouTube video that proves nothing. Simply, you need a ROM of Luigi's Mansion to actually get that. And I swear if you look up sites to get 3DS ROMs, you will get nothing but scammers.
You are the idiot if you apply the number of sales to HUNDREDS OF DS GAMES! Half the people who own a Nintendo system are clueless about flashcarts as well. I have many friends with a DS and they have no idea what flashcarts are.
Yes, I did admit that. The US sells flashcarts ON AMAZON SET TO NEW! HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A PERFECTLY LEGAL COMPANY SELL SOMETHING YOU CALL ILLEGAL?
Some who own flashcarts only use them for backups or homebrew.
And my point on the known? The number of people who have a working knowledge of these things are the ones who buy them. The numerous citizens who haven't an idea that these things exist won't take money from their wallets to get the R4 or others. That is my point. Yours?
And yes they broadcast it to thousands of people for free, but that's a matter of how many games they buy and how many sites buy them. Nintendo is complaining because they're short a certain amount because they were idiots and let go of an outdated console. The revolution, er, sorry you wouldn't understand that, the flashcart people, are pursuing Nintendo. Consoles that they leave behind are prey to the devices such as the R4. They stopped making games for the DS long ago. If they kept the development process of more DS games and make 3DS ones simultaneously, which they can do because they have countless workers, the game sales would go up and Nintendo gets more funds.
And ILLEGAL DOWNLOADS? There is a second use for this flash cartridge. Homebrew. Ever heard of the famous DScraft? This is the only way you can play that unless you count emulators. Don't get me started on those.
We've been doing this for awhile, quit wasting my time, and I won't waste yours, keep your opinion, and let the official companies handle this.
@Fusion14 Cryptic? Majora's Mask is easy to navigate. Twilight Princess, when I played it once on a GameCube I got lost when the kids were rumoring a slingshot! They hint nothing, because in Ocarina of Time for example, there are actually some rupees to pay for a Deku Shield. Are there any rupees in Twilight Princess so you can buy the slingshot if you have to? No! You have no sword either, so you can't cut the grass! This was one of the least obvious moments in Zelda to navigate! And the NES games? Please! Those two, you OBVIOUSLY go forward! SOLUTION TO ALMOST EVERY 2D GAME! And Majora's Mask? Simple. Talk to the kid in between the buildings in Clock Town as a Deku Scrub and he tells you to go to the head guy to join their gang. IT IS VERY SIMPLY KNOWN WHAT TO DO HERE!
Twilight Princess my favorite? Certainly not! I played this on Gamecube and wasn't very impressed, it's not that good under Zelda standards.
My favorite? Majora's Mask.
Midna I never met because I was playing in a hotel suite and didn't have much time to play but people said Midna made this game for them. Midna honestly looks VERY helpful, but again, I never made it there. Twilight Princess didn't do good with the darkness, but you know what? Majora's Mask aced it. Twilight Princess also never really hinted you very well on where to go. I guess that's Zelda exploration, but I got stuck on the part when the kids were talking about a slingshot in the shop and I had absolutely no idea what to do.
Really hope they make a GOOD new Megaman game. Then again, when has Capcom EVER made a bad game? They made themselves known with Megaman and aced their games with the Ace Attorney series, and just about everything is wonderful with Capcom. Look at what they were GOING to make, though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtjaqzC2erM It looks like a pre-release of Halo 6!
@MadAussieBloke Yeah, and a control stick... The 2DS is a big joke, you can just get a 3DS and not use the 3D mode. That's what the "Off" option is for on the 3D switch! You can close the 3DS too, making it more able to hold against damage. This thing gets damaged easy.
This being my first official Zelda game played, I feel grown to it. i'll get this for GBA soon enough. Amazing game, not even finished but I'm still looking for those amulets. So I have the lamp, boomerang, sword and shield and that's it.
@skyward_sword WHAT. This game is better than Twilight Princess. Do I really need to explain? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIET2DPZrOY I guess not. Anyway, this game is AMAZING. And the comments go to 2010.
I never liked this game. It relates to Final Fantasy a little, stopping your journey to fight. I found this challenging, but it gave barely a hint of story in the short time I played it, and it starts you over from the beginning when you die.
Ah, the classic game that started all of the Legend of Zelda series. I prefer this over Zelda II, honestly. this game deserves its 8/10, I played this and absolutely loved it.
YES! I CALLED IT! I knew they would release a 2DS! I thought of it just an hour or two ago! But that thing looks horrible... My money's still on the 3DS...
@laughingman0 My brain is fully functional, I assure you. Otherwise I wouldn't know SmileBASIC, a bit of C, and Visual BASIC. Get back to me after I learn Java too. As for the PSP, Sony did a horrid job with the UMD slot, causing it to break on many units (including mine). They made the same mistake with the PS1, except you could hold that one down with a rock or anything. Causing people to be forced to play the backup games with the custom firmware in order to enjoy their PSP more. Now for the DS and other systems:
You say I'm wrong about there being no 3DS ROMs.
Well, you are the one that is wrong. You see, the only website that has the ROMs for the 3DS leads you to Adbucks and forces you to download their software. You don't even get the ROM in the end.
You said I was wrong about ROMs coming from purchases.
Well, you're wrong there too. Not only does one site buy the ROMs, LOTS of others do too. Mainly because the sites that apparently got the data weren't trusted by others, hence loads more purchases.
You said I was wrong about Nintendo carrying out business.
You guessed it, you're wrong. Nintendo aren't being very SMART here. They abandoned normal DS cartridges long ago, leaving them open to be targeted by ROM businesses. Nintendo, if they made more DS games, would have carried on business because of more and more purchases from EVERY SITE.
And I know they're illegal in most other countries. Not the US though.
And for another thing, these cartridges aren't even very well known! I know lots of people with Nintendo's mobile systems, and none of them have heard about these things!
Got any arguments for these? Barely care, but go on if you want to.
And just for the record, the hacking of the Wii was illegal. Flashcarts, not so much.
@laughingman0 Sony's PSP? Backup games on PSP are because the UMD slot is broken! Sony did a horrid job with the UMD discs and this is what they get. As for your point, do you know how many 3DS ROMs are out there? NONE! More money for Nintendo!
And as for your name, who's laughing NOW?
I swear, I will download this first once it comes out. I am excited to make more games and programs, except with the powerful 3DS. (XL actually, I haven't picked it up yet so I'll get the XL due to the HUGE screen) How I've been using the first, I don't have a 3DS so how do I use the normal PTC?
DSi XL.
I got it when it was new, and while the midst of the 3DS came out I was still using it.
Now I will have TWO! But one can do 3D... And better, new games...
@Bluerobin2 That will make my experience maximized. We might either remake all of our games in 3D or just update them with a 3D update. 3DS only, though, so I'm doing remake.
@atariman I have never seen anyone say that! I thought it was a waste of money until I FIRST STARTED to use it, which was a year! You need skill, but if you want to make games, come to the forums and we'll help you learn. Look at me. I was inexperienced before but now I'm pretty skilled. I still have much to learn but this title was all worth it.
@ejamer Are you serious? This is perfect who don't see coding in them and just want to play people's games AND programmers who are either learning or have skill.
Wait, wait a minute. DS? Why not 3DS? I guess all of the kiddy movies will still make games for the DS. But still, DS? Sure, movie makers are bad game developers and I never like most games based off of a movie. Transformers was fine, but I'm talking about those KID movies, like Open Season. AND this.
They make games that I NEVER like.
R4 and flashcarts are NOT in any way illegal! They only seem like that. But has anyone ever thought how they get the ROM data? They BUY THE CARTRIDGES and take the game files. Not many 3DS games have been copied into ROMs, so that's a whole new purchase and Nintendo will get money for it! They're only complaining because they didn't look very deep! Nobody complains when people put backup games on PSP systems. Usually that's people with broken UMD slots like me, but still, ROMs come straight from the purchase! The hacking of the Wii, that was illegal, but like @GimmeMoreCoinz said: R4 cards are seen as illegal, but they really are not. If Nintendo carries on with Nintendo DS and 3DS business, that's more purchases from the people who emulate the software. There are even lots more DS games that HAVEN'T been transformed into a ROM. More games means more money even when it comes to flashcarts. Flashcart users do not condone piracy everyone!
I am mainly being defensive for personal reasons.
Some people say that just making games didn't work for Sega. They apparently didn't know about the Sega Genesis, etc. But making games that tag onto consoles from companies like Nintendo and Microsoft make them great developers by far. Sega is a company with many different characters to be proud of, and with Sonic as their main character, Sega will forever be one of the superior companies. Long live Sonic. And it looks like I'm not the only one who is excited that yet another Sonic game is coming out. You can see by Super Sonic over here to the left of my text holding a sword that I've followed Sega for a long time.
I remember that line from The Avengers. Hilarious. Galaga is still an extremely enjoyable game. It is apparently still played and loved enough to earn a 7 on one of Nintendo Life's reviews. I still remember playing it and beating it eventually, it was a well-made space arcade game that takes time to beat with challenging bosses, a variety of enemies, and a multiplayer feature that makes this game just feel complete. Bravo, Namco.
For a SNES game, it well-earns its 9/10 score. I really enjoyed playing A Link To The Past, but this game was one of my favorites with that one fun Zelda game.
I thought this was for an Atari system, but NOW I figure out it's for the NES. This is very fun STILL, even though we have tons of other modern games that can be more fun than this. If I lived in the NES age, I would actually spend my money on a Megaman game, but we all still love the root of all Mario games.
EDIT: Oh, it IS an Atari game. Never mind.
Not very interested in Disney Infinity... it looks to me like a Disney clone of The Sims...
With Skylanders' character feature that made the Wii look great.
What I found most annoying about EarthBound for the SNES is that guy that goes with you at the beginning. I haven't played EarthBound too much anymore, but I find that he is useless in combat, because all he does is use you to defend himself or just acts ridiculous for his own safety. I also notice you have to name TOO MANY lifeforms at the beginning. Kind of annoying...
Oh... I'll still keep playing the classic Pokemon Rumble. I never picked up a Wii U because not a lot of people like it... I noticed myself that they gave the Wii a new paint job and put all of the power into the controller.

I haven't played EarthBound too much anymore, but I find that he is useless in combat, because all he does is use you to defend himself or just acts ridiculous for his own safety. I also notice you have to name TOO MANY lifeforms at the beginning. Kind of annoying...
Re: Review: Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U eShop)
Oh... I'll still keep playing the classic Pokemon Rumble. I never picked up a Wii U because not a lot of people like it... I noticed myself that they gave the Wii a new paint job and put all of the power into the controller.
