Almost any RPG they put on VC I am going to seriously consider downloading....maybe they don't put much because they take so long to play. The player gets bang for their buck, but the seller not so much....
@benja86 - I loved Faxanadu. It wasn't one of my picks if only because I have beat it so many times already. I would still download it the same day it becomes available though.
None of my top five made an appearance either. There are dozens of RPG's I'd like to see, though, so I would love to see that genre expanded on the VC. I still like my adventure games and shmups too, so I'm not out of stuff to play anyway....
I would like to have all three, but would definitely pick RCR first. I wish the Double Dragon was two player....I would prefer the Sega Master System version, but I may still download it. Great news!
Shadowrun was pretty cool - I hope it shows up on the virtual console. I wouldn't put it in my top 10 list, but I did enjoy it a lot. I only played the Genesis version....
This level looks tough but maybe I am just a light-weight. Looks cool too.
I really liked Life Force though I could hardly get anywhere in it. I know I would download that one pretty quickly after it became available if it ever does.
Thanks for the compliment. I've gotten to level 6 on one credit only once. I usually die a couple times on level 4 (or more) and then usually at least once on level 5. But I can almost always get to 6 each time I play, though, before running out of credits. I heard there was a cheat code to get extra credits but I haven't used it. It makes it harder to practice new levels, but I don't mind....
@Dazza - In the separate carts in Japan, did you have to finish one to start the other or could you just start on level 5 if you had the second cart? I don't have any need to know, but I was just curious how that worked if you happened to know...
I can get to level 6 reliably now! The game doesn't seem to get any easier along the way...I still love it, though.
I don't think I'll ever be really caught up with the virtual console in terms of finishing available games I want to play and beat.....never.....so I agree, Damo! Well said.
I've never played this before. Does Knuckles handle differently as a playable character? Just curious....no matter what, though, I'm sure this is a great game!
@Jupiter Adept - The game is pretty linear so, although you will have to complete some tasks before moving forward, it is never that difficult to tell what you are supposed to do next. It can be tough to get through some parts, so don't think I am saying that it is easy all the way through, but there isn't really any wandering.
I would have to say I would be most excited about getting Zillion, Rastan, and Shinobi. I think I would have a hard time not downloading Phantasy Star, though, even though I have it on GBA (my GBA screen is an awful lot smaller than my TV!!!)
I don't think I'd download any if it made its way to the US, but I did play C64 a bunch back in the day. There are a bunch of console games I would rather play before going to these, though. Still outstanding news that they are adding yet another system!!!!
For my part, I wish they'd fix the storage issue if only because it would help the Wii better satisfy the wants and needs of its users. More satisfaction lends itself to more sales, third party support, better games, etc. Also, even if I don't need the space myself right now, I may later so I still wish they'd fix it so that, when I do need it, it will already be available.
@Manicfatty - good point that Wiiware games would likely be much larger than these emulations that we currently have available to us. I hadn't thought of that, but that could be just because I am presently only curious about them and am not really anxious to get any particular titles that have been released. Once i see more and know more that may change...Right now I am content with my VC and my handful of actual Wii games, though.
I don't think I'll be stopping downloading stuff. I wouldn't pass on opportunities to cheaply play great games, even if I were to run out of hard drive space (which I don't think would happen either....I am not one to have a dozen or more games going at the same time). Good times....
I have this on GBA but will probably download it eventually, if only to be able to play it on a much bigger screen. I never beat it....and I agree that some of the dungeons have downright crazy layouts.....good stuff, though.
I'll probably download it after I've beat NG2. I used to own this one, but never did beat it. Limited continues makes it an awful lot harder....but what bragging rights you'd have!!!
If they did release a hard drive, I bet it would be hard to get your hands on one for awhile unless you are lucky or willing to pay more than list price for it....it would still be cool, though.
Hopefully it comes to the US sometime soon....not that I don't have a bunch of good stuff to play already, but I am always open for a good shoot-em-up.
I can only focus on so many games at a time. I don't save downloads forever unless I am expecting to play it in the near future. I don't think I would ever have as many games going at once that I would run out of memory. That's just me, though....
I think 500 points is fair and there are a few games that I'll be happy to download....Zillions, Rastan, and Shinobi to name three. Phantasy Star would be nice too, but I already have it on GBA.
Just for the record, I like 1 a lot more than 4. And I like 2 more than either of them but that's just me.
@Learn Japanese DS - I would say it depends on what type of game you would prefer to play. Most people probably favor 1 to 2. 1 is linear, shorter, and, in my opinion, tougher than 2. 2 is non-linear and the clues and guidance you get in the game are cryptic at best. You have to almost take an old-school trial-and-error approach to get through it if you aren't using a walkthrough. I figured it out on my own long ago, but it took forever.
@whalleywhat - I can't wait for 3 either. That was my absolute favorite of the NES games in the Castlevania series. I can't give that game enough compliments....it was basically perfect in my opinion.....
I've made it to the third temple and so far I am really enjoying this game. Although I haven't finished it yet, I am going to go ahead and give it four stars. I think that rating will stick, but I will correct myself if I find myself liking it significantly more or less than I presently do.
Not to change the subject, but this game reminds me that I want to play 'Battle of Olympus' again, which I hope makes it to the VC eventually....
@betagam7 - I like Startropics much better than Zelda 1, but that is just my humble opinion. I did not play Startropics until years after its release as an emulation, and I can say that it is much more approachable without the need for nostolgia than Zelda (and, frankly, than Metroid too though Metroid: Zero Mission is awesome). I highly recommend it. I would give it five stars again, but I already did that and that wouldn't be fair to vote twice....
If they actually made a Startropics 3, that would totally make my day. It's a worthy series....unfortunate that they stopped making them so quickly....
@Fang I am always hoping for something I want to download--I have a mental wish list of things I want to see available. But although it can be a let down when you wait and then you don't see it on the next release day, I for one think that there are an awful lot of good games on the virtual console in general. There are a bunch that I haven't gotten to yet so I don't feel like I am caught up with everything out on the VC that is (in my opinion) worth playing. So I am content!!!
I do wish they'd release more than three games per week, but I feel like there are plenty of games out on the VC that I want to play. I'm certainly not caught up yet....especially since some games can take you awhile to beat (i.e. r-type). I probably like more of the VC games than the average player, but I do think there's a good number of worthy games available. Just my opinion.

I've only downloaded two of these games - but I often prefer the obscure ones anyways...

I actually want both of these, but I don't know if I will download anything today. I am still playing a couple other previous downloads....

Re: Nintendo Power Poll - What Games Do You Want To See?
I went ahead and emailed them. I bet most of my picks don't even make the top 100 list, though. It'll be interesting to see...

Maybe they'll just put the code in the online instructions coupled with the download....without the water, of course. That's my guess.
I'll definitely download this tonight though I may not get to play it for awhile...work's keeping me busy
