R-Type Delta HD had bugs making the game more difficult when it released too. I wish any R-Type remake/master had the feature in R-Type Final 2 of a button to slow the game down and have time to take everything in.
"[Capcom] intends to nurture its leading brands to be the next engine of growth with the release of sequels, remakes, ports and by continuing to add new IP to the mix." Hasn't this been Capcom's MO for the past several decades? That's like how every major venerable game company works.
The thing about big Nintendo Directs, State of Play, &c is they give fans something to be interested about and look forward to together, fostering a sense of communal excitement. So they'll probably stop doing them since in 2026 any adhoc community is scary to elites.
I'm grateful that they included all four original versions of the game in addition to the new remixed mode, it's very thoughtful. A fun little game and preservation curio. I hope if Konami does a second Gradius collection it includes the two Game Boy games.
First priority needs to be a bangin' U.K. garage soundtrack. The game could be anything. BTW if you rumble with the biggity Buck Bumble, check out Wildchild - Renegade Master (Fatboy Slim Old Skool Mix).
The world doesn't need to expend any more precious natural resources and human labor on reprinting vinyl records by the Doodletown Pipers and Up With People, and likewise it doesn't need to do the same with Star Fox Zero. It's a fine but not outstanding game; if you didn't get to play it, please evaluate your precious time on Earth where owning and/or playing Star Fox Zero is not a priority. It was a creature of the Wii U, and the evolutionary niche it was meant to live in no longer exists. A Switch port would only whisper "kill... me..." as your mind ponders why it was made in the first place.
Just because he was so jealous of Pokémon's success he had to make Pikmin, but it's not happening for ya chief. Just be happy with, you know, Mario and Zelda and Donkey Kong and such.
I totally agree. Firstly because Capcpom is hot on the classics packages with Mega Man, and doing everything they can do avoid Legends & Tron Bonne, so why not Resident Evil next. Secondly to make these games accessible and archived to a wider audience. And thirdly because, even if they are technically inferior to the remakes, they are vastly different games from the remakes. For instance, I don't have a constitution to play the remakes, they're too realistically horrifying, but RE 1-3 are silly and distant in a way I can enjoy them.
I'd like to know if any VG composers were influenced by the Grateful Dead. But then again, it would be hard to do video game music that never looped or played quite the same way every time.
