@Bass_X0 Of course. I just see their opinion as less valid than somebody who was there to experience them when the game was fresh, the tech was new, and the TVs sounded like they were jamming radiation through your skull.
Playing them now on new tech is more of a time capsule experience. It's a novelty. It's something you have a quick go on before returning to the games of your actual generation. So ranking them based on that isn't something I can take as seriously.
Probably won't make sense to most folk. But that's the joy of subjective opinions innit.
Back in the 90s there was a whole spate of games and anime inspired by Pokemon design and mechanics. I don't remember Nintendo being so aggressive about it back then. Granted my sources of news back then were CVG, Nintendo Magazine, Bad Influence and Games World. So either they didn't mention it or didn't feel it would be of interest.
I don't see the price of the console or games as an issue because it's simply an inflationary comparable price to what we paid in the 90s. We bought less games and we made the most of what we had. It's probably a healthier way to buy and play games based on the ridiculous amount of unplayed ones people seem to have.
I don't think they're not going to see as much success with the Switch 2 though. Global economies were weakening before the tariff wars started. And it's just getting worse. Expensive luxuries are not a priority in the minds of the general public. I think companies across the board are going to struggle for the foreseeable.

Cool. More opportunities for people to feel the anticlimax after playing it for an hour.

Re: Fortnite Turns To The Dark Side With New AI-Generated Darth Vader Chats
@Bigmanfan I'm actually impressed. Good to see a member of Andor's small-in-number, but committed, fans.
Re: Fortnite Turns To The Dark Side With New AI-Generated Darth Vader Chats
@TheSaneInsanity You're right. They should. After all, the current crop of actors have such distinctive voices. People would spot them a mile off.
Re: Fortnite Turns To The Dark Side With New AI-Generated Darth Vader Chats
@Bigmanfan Who was your favourite character in Andor? No internet peeking to remind yourself of their name
Re: Opinion: I Hope Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter Doesn't Make A 'Big' Remake Mistake
The important question is: Does anyone care?
Re: Fortnite Turns To The Dark Side With New AI-Generated Darth Vader Chats
What? Not using any of the memorable heroes and villains from the recent films and TV shows? But there are so many...
Re: Nintendo: "Physical Games Are Still A Key Part Of Our Business"
Remember that word, drones: "Business". Nintendo isn't your friend.

Are you lot even old enough to have been there when they released? And you have the cheek to rank them. Bugger off.

Re: What's Palworld Dev's Defence Against Nintendo's Lawsuit? Pikmin 3, Apparently
@Metazoxan You just made me realise that even Pokemon isn't an original idea.
It was clearly inspired by insect collecting and cock fighting 😄
Grisly...

Re: Mailbox: Switch 2 Price Drops, Remake Replacements, Pokémon Acquisitions - Nintendo Life Letters
@Discostew I think it's even simpler than that.
1. Hating on something gets more clicks.
2. People get a weird satisfaction in seeing successful people/companies fail.
Tells you a lot about people, doesn't it 😄
