Re: Weirdness: Theories on the Inside of a Poké Ball

SageWaterDragon

The actual scenario was described in one of the Pokemon films: they are essentially digitized and put into a giant world with all the other Pokemon. So, yes, somewhere out there there is a lava pool where a couple hundred Groudons are kind of just chilling out, maybe playing chess.

Re: Monster Hunter Tri Servers To Be Shutdown At the End of April

SageWaterDragon

Actually, I encourage this for Capcom. Monster Hunter Tri is still one of the best single-player games that I have ever played, so you can't complain THAT much. I mean, you people had 3 years to play it. I don't know about you people, but I want Monster Hunter 4 to come stateside. What better way to do that then to have lots of sales for MH3U? People seem to have a misunderstanding in which they thing Ultimate is just an upscaled port. If that is the common thought, then why would people buy it?

Re: XSEED Talks Wii Support And Why It Isn't Touching Retro Game Challenge 2

SageWaterDragon

Dang it! I have always been a huge fan of RGC, even going to the point of claiming it is the best DS game ever made. It is fun in its most distilled form for gamers who enjoy the retro experience. It is a shame that it sold so poorly. I mean, all that licensing stuff was completed with the first game, so why couldn't they just release the second one? The fan translation at rgc2.moonfruit.com looked like a fantastic thing; shame that it is (as far as we know) dead in the water. Anybody else here who clicked on here just to see the RGC content?

Re: Nintendo Comes Out On Top In Consumer Experience Poll

SageWaterDragon

My only experiences with Nintendo Customer Service were these: a broken L and R button on my 3DS and a lost-in-the-mail-system Giant AR Card. Both times the company was nice, simple, and helped me through my problem, fixing my 3DS for free AND shipping me another AR card for free. Nice! Apple, on the other hand, helped none when it came to iTunes saying that I had never used this computer before, and was asking questions I couldn't answer. (To be fair, they did give me back a faded 50 dollar iTunes gift card that my mom had lost, so their service is okay.)

Re: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Receiving Day-One Keyboard Update

SageWaterDragon

@SkywardLink98 In Japan, you can more or less be anywhere and assemble a hunting party, so they don't see the point of online on the 3DS version. You cannot carry your Wii U around (usually), however, so that is that.
On a side note, can someone answer if that apparently amazing keyboard from Pokemon Typing Adventures or something is compatible?

Re: EarthBound Creator Confirms Something Is In The Pipeline

SageWaterDragon

Hopefully they are able to release at least Mother 3 onto the 3DS eShop. That would be so hype. Also, the other games would be great as well, but I consider myself saturated in official translations by this point.
I don't want Mother 4, though, because then they would have to send a C&D to the people who are making the Mother 4 fan game (mother4.andonuts.net), and that would be a sad day.

Re: Feature: The Confusing World of Mega Man Spin-Offs - Part 2

SageWaterDragon

Mega Man Battle Network was an amazing experience if you owned all of them with the right mindset. The first game was great, and the others just expanded it. If you stop thinking of it as having 6 (7?) almost identical sequels, and start thinking of it as one huge very good game, then it is great. My only problem was the ridiculously high encounter rate.

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Screenshots Stomp Into View

SageWaterDragon

Something worth mentioning is that if you move any of the trailers or the screenshots to your 3DS (downloading the videos off of YouTube with KeepVid), the game looks much better. I don't know why, but it does. Capcom, can you release 3D screenshots viewable on the 3DS? I really want to see what the way I play will be like...

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Turns Over Some New Footage

SageWaterDragon

I really, REALLY hope that they allow for multiple players in this game. I don't know how that would work if only one player could be the mayor (as it would work logically), though. The Animal Crossing series is the only game I have gotten my mom to ever play, and she absolutely adores every single game. Fingers crossed for the continuation of the tradition.

Re: Nintendo Power Reader Pays Tribute With a Painting

SageWaterDragon

Living in a world without a Nintendo magazine? I don't know if Nintendo Life covered it, but the website now has a paid physical magazine, designed to carry the Nintendo magazine torch. Subscriptions are available now for this once-every-2-months magazine. $10 for digital, $20 for physical.

Re: Nyko Experiences Power Outage, No Longer Releasing 3DS Power Grip Pro

SageWaterDragon

I was really hoping that Nintendo would pick up where Nyko left off, releasing the Circle Pad Pro Pro or something weird like that. Or, you know, releasing a 3DS with 2 analog sticks and an anti-glare screen. I would pay a ton of money for something that useful. Who knows, maybe they could, cough, release a good looking, good feeling CPP. I just want one that looks good enough to use in public without being an embarassment. Kingdom Hearts 3D is just calling for it. (As well as Metal Gear Solid 3, but I kind of stopped playing that after I got through it 3 times in a row.) Dang you, final boss of KH3D, stopping me from finishing it!

Re: Feature: The New Dimensions of Pokémon

SageWaterDragon

Logic, right? Pokemon Snap: $40 on a home console with about 65 Pokemon.
Pokemon Dream Radar: $2.99 on a handheld with about 22 Pokemon.
PDR is 13 times cheaper than PS, yet it contains only 1/3 the Pokemon. And it was a minor release. Comparing the two of them is like comparing apple pie to an apple, one is cheaper and you get to use it all by yourself, but there is less food, but the other one you have to share and is more expensive, but there is more food/nutrients. Or something. (Disregard that analogy, please.)

Re: Watch The Japanese Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct Here

SageWaterDragon

@AyeHaley To be fair, there was a tropical island in the GameCube version. However, it was only accessible by plugging your GBA into your CameCube and visiting the docks at the beach. If you did get there, there was an absurdly simple way to earn maybe 30,000 Bells a hour. That is just ridiculous.
