I suspect Microsoft will make a premium Series X level console that they will NOT sell at a loss and most likely make a deal with someone like ASUS to make a series S level console with xbox branding on it.
They seem to be all in on everything's an xbox so this would fit. The "best" way to play their games will be on their premium XBox but they'll run on everything else as well.
I'm having a ton of fun with this. I think I'm about half way through and having a great time. I'd give it an 8.5 so I decided to round up to a 9 since I'm having more fun then not with this entry.
I think the characters and Pokémon look great and the menus are superb. The graphics for the city are a bit bland but they're fine. The gameplay is a ton of fun. I wish the wild areas had more Pokémon but it's not a deal breaker. Z-A is fun to run around in, the battles are fun and engaging and the catching is great! The story is engaging, I care about the characters and I really like the side quests/missions adding some extra flavor.
I'm excited for the Legends Z-A, I have some reservations about the single city experience but all things considered the Pokémon games always deliver a fun experience!
This is absolutely one of the best LEGO sets ever. It's fun to build with all the clever ways things go together. I was awestruck when I finished with just how close to the original this thing is.
I was a bit sad when I finished that the power button didn't move. I just was too afraid to blast it apart. My daughter was looking it over and snapped it "on" much to my surprise and delight! The power button even sounds like the original with the hard clack of plastic on plastic when it slides over.
Having played these games back on the PS2 when they would become a literal slideshow; I'll take 30fps. That's fine as long as there are mindboggling numbers of enemies to smush.
I got their stand grip and it's all right but it's not giving me the amount of grip I'd like. I've been considering this but it occurs to me that maybe I should just wait for someone like moba to make custom joycons and give those a shot...
I picked up this case and their standgrip and I love both. Very much agree with this review, it's a nice premium feeling case that will hold a switch without their grip with minimal side to side wiggle and virtually no up and down wiggle. With the standgrip there is virtually no wiggle in any direction and it has plenty of space above the joysticks to use some caps as well even with the grip on it.
@DTfearTheBEARD This is probably the way to go. I've not played it yet but almost pulled the trigger last year when it was $30 on steam. Then they bundled it up and dropped the standard price to $40 and I figured I'd wait for it to be $20 on steam and play it on steam deck. If this is a key card on switch 2 then I may as well get it for the deck and have it in my steam library.
The thumbnail used for the video had me expecting a first person remake of the original with some embellishments. Kind of a Baby's first oblivion sort of thing, I would be interested in that. What the trailer showed... will require more convincing to get me to spend money on this game.
I bought the Savage Raven (formerly Skull n Co) case and it's solid. Has a nice soft "velvet" gray interior with a strap under the switch and a cover over the screen that has slots for several switch cartridges. It's also big enough to accommodate their StandGrip which adds some additional protection to the Switch 2 and some grips behind the joy cons. It's not a soft case but it's not quite a hard case either. It's somewhere in the middle, should be more than enough protection to throw in my bag when traveling and getting knocked around a little.
That's cool I guess. Can we unlock 2-3 when we complete a game? That'd be a nice reward for finishing a game and being able to "show-off" that I completed it.
Probably not but I mostly play Nintendo titles on Nintendo hardware and get third party games on other platforms. If it's largely digital anyway I'll probably just get digital instead of the game key card.

This is fine but I really wanted the reverse to be the standard DK Bananza cover but with odd rock instead of Pauline. Oh well.
