@ScribbleDot They did more with Knuckles in six minutes here than he’s gotten over the years in most forms of media. (The second Sonic movie is the other exception).
He’s not just an idiot here; Knuckles is exploring his island and helping the other creatures with little things as its guardian. We need more stuff like this!
@Lizuka Growing up, I couldn’t stick with AWL for as long as I would have liked due to how slow the game felt after the first two chapters. I still adore how experimental its concept is, and some of the more realistic ranching mechanics do hold up. If they can make more of the villagers age, they can easily add in some more activities later in the game.
Aside from that:
I’m SO glad Cody is a romance option now. He was always better than the actual options AnWL gave us, IMO.
My non-binary partner wants to buy to support the NB option alone. They like Stardew Valley more than I do, but they were turned off by the art style in most BokuMono titles.
@somebread As someone who never thought I’d ever get a musou before this demo won me over after loving Three Houses, I actually prefer that Three Hopes sticks to one entry.
It gives it the opportunity to address other bits of lore from Three Houses, which I can see from the demo alone.
@RupeeClock You’re right - Elise was the one who initiated, even though it saved Sonic’s life.
Even though this topic has been memed longer than some Sonic fans have been alive (and even I think it could’ve been salvaged if Elise had a less realistic design and more to her character), I think this is one guideline most Sonic fans can get behind.
Honestly, if this is true, I’d be mostly concerned about the songs. (Even Disney musical numbers have a high chance of turning me off, and reaching for the skip button if I’m watching from home).
On the other hand, I think that if this movie does take visual inspiration from the Hotel Transylvania films, that it would be a good fit for the Mario series. (In particular, that kind of spooky, shadowy veneer over some cartoony slapstick would fit Bowser really well).
Overall, I’m in the same corner as @LimitedPower: as long as we don’t expect an utter masterpiece, I see no real reason to worry.
@HammerGalladeBro My fiancée married an NPC in Elden Ring, and writes a lot of romantic Fire Emblem fanfics. I’ve romanced countless characters in farming sims. Guess our marriage is doomed over pixels. 😆
@farrgazer I’ve seen similar controlling AITA posts (including a guy thinking his wife romancing a character in My Time at Portia is an affair).
I’ve even seen one with some woman getting upset over her fiancé from watching Marvel films because Black Widow was borderline softcore porn or something.
Even if a lot of these AITA posts are hyperbolic fakes, there’s enough people IRL who don’t see these controlling/abusive behaviors for what they are. If nothing else, the comment sections might open an eye or two before the OP deletes everything.
@pokewalkerpete Honestly, I’ve always assumed that Lana’s Eevee was a hastily-added LGPE plug.
I also understand assuming Chloe’s Eevee is a G-Max specimen that can’t evolve, but I agree with the article that it would be an underwhelming choice considering their arcs. I wouldn’t be too annoyed if I’m wrong, though.
Also, if the rumors about Scarlet/Violet including a type-changing gimmick do have truth behind them, it’d be a perfect time to add more Eeveelution representation (aka marketing gold).
I’m tentatively going with Sprigatito, since it’s so adorable.
As it stands, Fuecoco looks really awkward to me, but I’m almost certain it’ll look better once it evolves. Quaxly looked very lazy to me at first blush (like if a Ducklett stole Mario’s hat and decided to follow Donald Duck), but its name gives me hope that it’ll be less generic once it evolves. I could see Quaxly growing unhinged and attacking windmills.

All in all, I’m fairly optimistic.

@jonky At least give him Mouthful mode first.
Re: Random: Forget Bowsette, 2022 Is The Year Of 'Eggma'am'
@Fizza Eggm’am is Eggette 25 years later.
Re: Adorable Kirby Plushies Arrive In Time For Kirby And The Forgotten Land
@Bobb That was my first thought when I saw the thumbnail.
My second was “this is a solid array of Kirby plushes with a bunch of different characters.”
My third thought? Gunman Kirby is too happy to be American.
