Great Article. I remember all the Hype, and as a turbo fan who never got to try one or own one...I was intrigued. To bad that Sega and NEC both shunned 2d games because by all accounts they really could have held on to the gamers that still wanted the 2d experience...yes there were some of us back then even as kids that would have loved to at least have an option for 2d goodness...

I used to love playing this game on the first wario ware for gba!

The toad mini games were my least favourite part of Super Mario 3d world...So i will be skipping this one.

I had to drive 65 miles to get mine, and I got the last one in stock. WORTH IT! you can bet I will be pre ordering smash though.

This game is a huge reason I bought my Wii U day One. It has been a long wait..but it is almost over!

loved super bases loaded as a kid. (my favourite snes baseball game) but I feel world series baseball was the best 16 bit baseball game...as for 8bit..RBI was the best.

I hope its Ryu or Ken from Steet Fighter...If its a nintendo character then the Dog From Duck Hunt is the way to go...

my kids got the 2d's and my youngest has the peach pink 2ds...I have a 3ds xl and after playing around with both I can say that the 2ds is more comfortable to hold, and the analog is not slippery like my xl...for 100 bucks a pop you cant go wrong. If they made a 2ds xl I would be tempted to get one for myself.

I got an xl and my kids got the 2ds...I don't think the battery life is that bad...at least not bad enough to pay almost the same price that I paid for there systems.

I want a new GameBoy...One Screen that is huge close to the game pad size, and as powerful as a ps3...Also I want all the buttons of a gamepad controller...that would be perfect.

this could be great news for us the gamers. I hope the Koji starts a indie label and releases some of the classic style greatness he is known for.

an old school style RPG on the Wii U...Day 1 purchase.

If you would have asked me last year at this time "what is your favorite Zelda game?" I would have said Link to the Past with out hesitation...in fact I would have highly doubted that there would ever be a Zelda game that good again...Fast forward to the here and now, and my answer is now a toss up. This fantastic game and Link Between World are the very very best Zelda games I have ever played, and also the only two I have ever beat.

I cant wait for this one. I loved afterburner in the arcades. And If this is six bucks then right on. I must have spent at least triple that over the years to play this in the arcades.

This IMO is the best of all the Castlevanias, and one of my all time favourite games. Treasure really knocked it out of the park with this one.

my best guess would be some type of pokemon game.

I was gonna buy it any-ways since I love wind waker, but I am even more pumped about the revisions to the darn end game fetch quest. I never beat this game because of it.

got this game as a gift for Christmas when I was around 4 years old. I remember staring at the map and feeling like I was about to start a real adventure. I spent countless hours figuring this game out on my own. I never beat this game, but made it to the final dungeon...I could not for the life of me figure out how to get the silver arrows...great times this game is truly one of a kind...Just like its cart this game is GOLD!

I hope this does not effect Jet Set Radio from making it to PSN, and the rumoured Skies Of Arcadia port.

My son has a 3ds and I have put my time in, and it is a very solid peace of machinery. To me the ds was pretty cutting edge back in the day. It was a portable N64 power wise, and as a follow up to the gba it was a huge leap...Same can be said for the 3ds AKA the portable Wii.

I hate to harp on the Turd Party's, but as far as the launch library goes Nintendo gave third party's a real chance to shine, and they stunk the joint up. I hope Nintendo learned from this, and has the big guns ready for the U launch.

I used to rent the original from Mega Foods all the time. My Sister and I loved this game, and its one of the few games that we beat together. I am way more excited about this then the Home console version.

I don't know what I think about this...On one hand they kicked everbodys butt last cycle with a under powered system...just like Sony before them with the PS2, and it seems like ample power to give us Nintendo fans what we really want, and that is HD first party titles like only the big N can provide. On the other hand this will in the next couple of years when the PS3 and Breakbox 720 come out. Put them in the same spot they are in now since Wii U will not be powerful enough to get those third party games...Sigh.

@TysonQ7 I read the distructoid review also, and one of the complaints was the controls, and How dificult it made the game...sounds to me like there reviewers need to get better at video games...Judgeing from this and there BloodRayne betrayal review.

@Powerglove My Game Gear came with sonic 2, and god was it bad.

I sold all my Gameboy stuff to buy a game gear when I was a kid. Did I regret it? Yes... BUT It still holds a spot in my nostalgic heart.

I bought this on VC after missing out on it back in the day, and after playing wonderful life on NGC. The first HM IMO is the very best. I dumped a lot of hours into this SNES classic.

I think 8 out of10 is right on the money.My parents got me Metroid when I was little 4 or 5, and I remember always going back to it. Great game and my favourite in the series.

Was hoping for another Wii VC game.So I will be holding on to my coins.

My dad bought us the deluxe model...so even though we owned a NES the whole cycle I never really owned this game. Mario 3 check Mario 1 not so much...doesn't matter though my uncle had it, and he babysat me alot. so I played the out of this game. Memory's this game is one of the best.
