Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch To Start At £199.99 In United Kingdom, $329.99 In Canada

So we can assume that the £199 model will be 16GB and the £249 will be 32GB with a game bundled in. Basically pricing the console at the same price as an xbox one and PS4.

Now Nintendo will have to do a lot of marketing to sell this device as its less powerful but has the benefit of being the most powerful portable console that is their selling point they need to market this as a portable console and not try confusing people by insisting its a home console.

Focusing the marketing on this being the most powerful portable console with home console like games on the go will stop people directly comparing it to the PS4/Xbone which is what they need to do as the second people start comparing the Switch to the others people will see more powerful machines at the same or cheaper cost.

Re: Nintendo Insists That Wii U Production Will Continue Beyond This Week

They will not openly come out and say we are no longer making the console as this will effect what little sales they may get this coming holiday season, they will stick to their guns saying that they will continue to produce and support the system hoping some people will buy into that BS.

Coming out and confirming they are no longer producing the system is the same as saying the product is now discontinued and no longer for sale.

The fact that the WII U costs around the same if not a little more than a PS4 in the UK is just a joke...

Re: Random: Check Out This Neat 3D View of the Nintendo Switch

@Sakura There is no pictures of the bottom of the console and in the trailer Nintendo was very careful not to show the bottom... I would like to know if they are using standard USB C charging connector or if they have gone custom contact points for charging which in my opinion would be a mistake as I would like to be able to use a battery pack.

Also games are coming on cartridges so storage should not be an issue and they could simply sell an empty/storage cartridge for games to be downloaded onto.

Re: Nintendo UK Executive Says Wii U Has Had "Quite a Good Year So Far"

The fact that WII U was in negative sales in europe last year (retailers returning units!) anything out of that negative will be classed as a major sales boost in europe which is not impressive as it would be classed and small or poor sales in the US. The fact is WII U is still under performing here with only being £50 cheaper than a PS4 or Xbox One shoppers are just going for what they see on TV and in the papers and what there friends are talking about and thats not the WII U.
