@Snow-Dust Yep. There's no "offical" mother for either Roy or Lilina. While there are several options for both, the base story has more LynXHector and NinianXEliwood moments than they do with other characters.
Of course, it is entirely possible for Lyn to be Roy's mother.
Lots of factors at play here. Price will be a major deciding point, as well as quality/options. Paid online multiplayer is not worth it if they keep the current model which tends to have limited chat and interaction.
Not a deal breaker for me, but it's a bit of a red flag. Understandable, but definitely disappointing.
Wasn't sure how I would feel about a new system that was a console/handheld hybrid. I'm pretty dang impressed with how well this seems to blend the two.
I've been finding myself liking most of the 3D models of the new pokemon, but seeing the 2D art as a bit less interesting. I can't say if this is a good thing or not.
Aesthetics aside, I've really been loving the concepts and mechanics of the new pokemon. Very excited.
I do wish they released it on the Wii U, even though I don't own one. I much prefer the more portable 3DS for my hunting, but it's kind of a bummer for those who prefer the Wii U, or don't own a 3DS.
@Gridatttack The stories aren't really connected. There are occasional nods and in-jokes that reference previous entries, but you should have no trouble starting with the most recent game. I can't decide whether to recommend 4U or G first, as both are excellent games; 4U has a more cohesive story and immersive world, while G has more gameplay options and a more refined weapons system.
I would give a slight edge to Generations, though, simply because it's the most recent game and you'll have an easier time finding other hunters for online quests.
EDIT: As an aside to those posting about G Rank, the game lacking G Rank has pretty significant precedent. Monster Hunter 3 and 4 lacked G Rank; it was only 3U and 4U that had them. I doubt there will be a Generations Ultimate since it is meant as something of a "best of monster hunter" game rather than an entry in the numbered series, though.

Re: Crypt of the NecroDancer Will Bring Its Unique and Funky Dungeon Crawling to the Switch
@foodmetaphors Base game was $15 on Steam with $7 DLC. They might round it out to $20, but that's just a guess.
Re: Nintendo Switch to Introduce Paid Online Service in Autumn / Fall
@kotag I'm also concerned for Monster Hunter. Even if it's fairly cheap, I could see there being a severe drop in the online fanbase.
Re: Atlus Is Bringing Shin Megami Tensei To Nintendo Switch
ANOTHER one for 3DS? Yes. Very yes.
I'm secretly hoping for another Devil Survivor game, though. The original Devil Survivor is what got me into SMT in the first place.

Re: Video: Check Out Six Minutes of Yooka-Laylee Footage
Looks good! I'm still a cold-hearted cynical skeptic after Mighty No. 9, but hopefully this one will pay off for its backers.
