I think Nintendo is going to put their best stuff on the Pro. They realized that the Switch was already outdated when it was launched and this was before the other companies released their consoles.

Nintendo is in a huge pinch and only are surviving because the other 2 companies have their heads in their butts and not doing much outside of FPS games and remakes at that. I think many are burnt out at the next generic FPS game whether they admit it or not.

@blindsquarel It's kinda obvious and Nintendo DOES have a built in emulator for Mario 3D All Stars. Dolphin with 4K textures can do a better job for free!

Anyways he was the one pushing the boundaries of the Switch as in Japan everything has to be done thru group think if the group doesn't agree it doesn't go thru. There are many examples of this in sports,technology,etc. It works to a certain degree but also has a lot of negative side effects.

Looks like the graphics used in New Donk City. Too bad the US gets the shaft but to Nintendo we don't exist like people in Portland Oregon think nothing exists between them and Sacramento.

I think BOTW 2 has been shelved due to technical and mental limitations and are afraid to admit it to not upset fans over the rails.

@JWF I'm playing Link's Awakening before I sell it which I got thru trading old stuff and paid very little for. It's like a dumb BOTW and to further the case I have Stigmatism issues with my eyes and I don't see tiny objects from the perspective they want though it's mostly an issue in dungeons not the overworld. Also unlike OOT if you don't have a crucial item you have to look it up to find out where and what the hell it is! One case I had to have a toadstool and had it this whole time not knowing what it was for and only found out after looking up how to light torches.

@Lugazz Actually the online press did a good job trying to make it seem like the sequel using a lot of tricky double speak but if you are into PSYOP stuff it's pretty easy to spot.

@ss213 I think it has to do with when you bought your Switch. I have my Switch from when BOTW first came out and it has no FPS drops nor blurryness on mine. I've heard a lot of bad things about 1st gen Switch machines.

@Hylian_Greaves Weird. I defeated the Guardian my first time and most of the fight only had one hart left then the last 3/4ths of it I only had a quarter heart and hid behind the rock between laser blasts. I did win though at the skin of my teeth but only because I didn't understand some things earlier but the rest of the game I completely blew thru with no more then losing a heart if I sat their being dumb long enough.

A lot of times a few enemies would sit their with me being dumb!!! Could that be my difficulty setting at easy or does that just give them more health to chink at?

@Zenszulu I think it would've made more of an impact if they actually held them hostage then they'd back down on a lot of crap they throw out.

The real emergency is they are holding themselves hostage with garbage games and not expanding on their 'best' ones! We want The Crew 3!!!!!!!!

I didn't mind DK64 but would've loved it if they did what Banjo Tooie did and let worlds interconnect for shortcuts and some were relied on for jiggies such as the gas pipeline of Grunty's Industries between Hailfire Peaks and Jolly Rodgers Bay which winds up polluting the kiddie pool. You have to do a bunch of things there.

Note security systems won't stop Bowser from kidnapping Peach the purpose is to slow him down enough for guards and or Mario to properly prepare himself instead of just charging in blindly.

The headline made it sound like Nintendo was going to do cross platform with Steam! (Windows) So disappointed! Imagine Age of Calamity on Steam with improved fixes and mod support thru the workshop!

@Buizel Your right about that one. You need to have some sense of the original team to have it work as a 'spiritual successor' or otherwise it's just a new game. Nothing wrong with that but let's not lie about it now!

The Logical Journey of the Zoombinis are a great example!

If you ever played or touch the Zoombini's Logical Journey or "Math Adventures" which was it's first title in the 1.0 version, the one with the red cover of the pizza troll, you'll see what I mean when you look at the game play between the 1st one and 2nd one called 'Mountain Rescue Adventure' which is almost NOTHING like the original and we are cheated a few puzzles.

The third and final one REALLY deviates from the formula for better or worse where none of the puzzles rely on the looks of the Zoombinis for the first time relying on internal mechanisms.

@ilh I think this game is going to wind up being returned again and again and again as people figure it out. I hope this game turns out but so far like Steam mixed reviews are usually NOT a good sign. It's a lot like when weather models disagree on a pattern in the 7 to 14 day range then as you come closer the actual pattern is somewhere in the middle of the two arguments.

@Purgatorium I used to do demos all the time. They often came with other stuff. They were called "Shareware" back then. Often games you bought would have 1 or 2 demos with it. You could choose to install the demos. Dad had an idea of taking the divine beast to the edge of the world and seeing if they could fall off or go beyond the boundaries. I wonder if players will try to do exploits? Or perhaps take on to Lurline Village by the coast and stomp all over it and smash all sorts of things to pieces! Nice thought at least!

@Jokerwolf Did you ever play demos in the 90s? If so what was your first one? Did you enjoy the shareware days where things came in with other stuff often? When you bought sound cards or video cards you'd also get a FULL game with it designed to max it out! One game we got that way was Star Trek Voyage Elite Force absolutely free with it! No it wasn't a demo it was the full version from start to end!

@DoomGuyBFG Didn't look like much planning to me. The bad guys kept taking hit after hit just standing there! I think they were high on bananas? Though I wonder how they will do different objectives. Lord of the Rings Conquest also had different objectives.. It was a failed attempt at an open world combat game that fell short mostly due to being too 'arcade' like at the controls and it was too fast pace of a game for what it was trying to represent.

I really like the concept of playing as the 'evil' side but you can do that anyways on Battle For Middle Earth. A funny thing is you can play against your own team! Mordor vs Mordor! You have to be sure to give them different team colors as they are hard to tell apart on the map if you do that.
