Re: Icarian Gets a New Name: NyxQuest

Nero

Yeah Icarian does have a better ring to it, glad I got it while it had that name. Also I found this post on Neogaf:

Stupid sues are stupid. Another Spanish developer says they have the rights for the name Icarian (they have a free game called Ikariam) and the four guys from over the top haven't got enough money to start a law battle with them.

They've been told to change game's name to NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, and will be effective worldwide soon:

It's a complete shame they will surely be affected by this people who only want some advertisement taking advantage of OTT's WiiWare work and launch.

BTW, buy this beautiful game with whatever game, I really think it deserves it. We gave it an 8.5/10.

Re: Shia LaBeouf Disses the Wii

People who hate on the Wii always says that the only way to play it is to do big ass gestures, but seriously if you are playing it as a normal person you don't need big movements (in most games). But I guess it's easy to hate on it, and as I hate his acting skills there's no big change here.

The good thing is that I've seen on a few places that it will be getting a nice package and some other goodies. From Amazon.co.uk:

3 unlockable items, the codes for which will be printed on the back of the hints and tips guide.

  • Drone skin for single player

Re: Review: Icarian: Kindred Spirits (WiiWare)

People need to stop being picky about the time it takes to finish. So what if it will take you maybe 3-5 hours to beat it, if you had a good time playing it then that what matters. There's plenty of full priced games these days that are 6-8 hours long (and crap) but that's ok right? Oh well, to you people I say it's your loss.

Good score for a brilliant game.

Relax guys, when we wake up tomorrow we will see that everything is back like it used to be, they're messing with our heads.. O_o

Anyway, like all changes it takes a while to get used to but I come here for the content and as it hasn't changed this is a good thing.

Re: Europe to Get World of Goo This Friday

Nero

I think the guys at 2D Boy are wonderful people. First of all this is a supber game, then they let pre-order people register their bought copies on Steam and then they convince RTL games to not only publish the game in retail but getting it on Europe Wiiware also. Having it on PC already I won't be getting it on Wiiware, but I hope it does awesome here. Hooray for 2D Boy!

Re: Eternity’s Child – Still Alive, Coming in 2009

Hey Luc. I'm one of the guys that actually enjoyed the PC version of this game and made a few levels and was wondering will there actually be updates to the story and such for that version? I would really like to see more levels and stuff for it. I hope many of the suggestions on the steam forums etc has been taken into considerations for the Wii version to make it better for people.

Re: Review: World of Goo (WiiWare)

I just finished the game on PC and this game is so amazing. I've been listening to the music in Winamp for many hours now and love it. There's some truly amazing levels in here that will make you go OMG.

Re: Eternity's Child Now Available for Steam

Yep the Destructoid review is a f@#king joke. I just finished the first chapter and while it's not perfect it's still very enjoyable. For me it has happened 3-4 times that the jump button didn't do what it was supposed to do. I'm also not a fan of fall damage. But with time and updates this can grow bigger and better. I would rate this game after one play through 7/10. If just some of the small issues are fixed it will be rated higher. Also the music in this game is epic.

Re: Nintendo Working On USB Devices – HDD Possible?

Nero

At first I thought that storing wouldn't be an issue but it has indeed become one. I would probably have bought a few more VC games (will buy more Wiiware games) but didn't because I had no storage space left. Sure it's easy to remove a game and download it again later (backing up to a sd card takes too damn long) but that's not really something that I like doing. Even though they say that not the majority has this issue, it's the most spenders of their store that's having these issues. Something has to be announced soon.

Re: Review: Magnetica Twist

Nero

I bought the game after reading this and tried holding the wiimote sideways and shooting with 2 and that felt better than the default one. Felt more steady that way (not perfect though). Always liked this type of game and looking forward to try it out with some friends. Lack of online is disappointing but what can one do..
Also I would have like a puzzle mode like in the DS game, though there are a few ones while doing the quest mode.

Good review. Second VC game I bought and not regretting it. Great fun game and I really dig the music.
