Re: TIME Lists Its Reasons For Picking Wii U Over PS4 And Xbox One

Mr_Nose

Meh. Meh. That's just Time Magazine's opinion. Meh. So what if they've got the world's largest circulation. Meh. That's only 25 million people reading this opinion. Meh.

Almost makes up for all the hate the from the rinky-dink nobodies on the web. Actually, it does make up for it. Quite nicely.

Re: Former Sony Developer Feels The Wii U "Won't See Another Christmas"

Mr_Nose

What I mean to say is, it didn't take me that long to become dissatisifed with Sony, or Microsoft, so I got rid of their products and moved on to something I am satisfied with.

And you know what? I never go to Sony or Microsoftcentric sites and post anti-tirades. I never go to any X-this or PS-that sites... ever.

Why don't you do the same, and move on to what you do enjoy? I mean that in the nicest possible way.

@MadAussieBloke
I had it, played the crap out of it, but I liked Time Gal a little better...

Of course, Strahl spanked 'em both...

I'd love to see today's technology applied to these types of games.

Seriously, if you ever get the chance, Shockwave 2 is sooooo friggin' awesome...

It would totally lose the impact if it was full-on CGI.

I love the Digital Pictures games. Sewer Shark is one of my favorites. I still replay it on the 3DO. I couldn't believe how much better it looked on the system. I always wished they would have brought Ground Zero Texas to it.

Not everyone hated FMV games. 3DO had some great ones. Psychic Detective went on to other platforms, Shockwave series rocked, Shockwave 2 Beyond the Gate's FMV was so good, I used to replay it, because of it.

Re: Video: Batman: Arkham Origins Initiation DLC Trailer Shows Off Challenge Maps With Story Elements

Mr_Nose

I love the first two games, I'm still trying to 100% Arkham City, in fact. I've been sitting on the fence about picking Origins up. I don't really like the costumes, or lack of Catwoman, Red Robin, or Nightwing as playables.

But the thing that's turned me away, and this clinches it, is the Nolan influence. The first two games were like 'the animated series on steroids.' I mean, they could easily have been movies by the creative team of the series. The Batsuits were like gifts to long time fans.

I'm probably in the minority on this one, but as much as I love Batman, I'm not a fan of Nolan's trilogy. I see in some screen shots that they've even taken inspiration from his cowl design... Blech.

Re: PS4 and Xbox One Surpass Wii U Lifetime Sales in the UK

Mr_Nose

And yet, http://www.purexbox.com/ and http://www.pushsquare.com/ are still veritable wastelands, with Nintendo Life being the bread and butter of the three sister sites.

There are still millions of Wii Us in the wild, and there will be millions more. Wii U will be my only system this gen. I didn't buy a PS3, and I sold my 360 to buy a 3DS. There's no way Microsoft, or Sony will get any more of my money.

Nintendo is the only reason I'm still a 'current gen' gamer.

Re: Super Mario 3D World Sells 57% of Its Initial Shipment in Japan

Mr_Nose

@Jazzer94 Edited, for you.

@Peach64 The thing is, if I want bad news, it's easy to get. I joined a 'fan' site, to be surrounded by like-minded folks. I wouldn't expect that on say, a Cleveland Browns fan site, the major articles are about how much the Browns suck. Oops! Oh, no I didn't. No, I want to hear about the games, and other features, and experiences of other players and fans. Interests. My interests. I don't need to be reminded of negativities associated with them. Like I said, I can get that all over the internet. Why would I even need to frequent a fan site?

Hats off to having the fortitude to wade through so many threads and topics looking for a place to put your boot in, on a daily basis, no less.

You people who gloat over every bit of news that can be twisted into a negative should be asking yourselves if you're spending your time in a worthwhile way. And where does this come from? Is it because your system of choice got trounced last gen by Nintendo, and you're still holding a grudge?

Oh, I forgot, Nintendo outsold everyone last gen. But then everyone said that hardware sales didn't mean as much as software sales. Now they're saying the opposite.

Hate to break it to you, but Nintendo's not going away anytime soon...

They could afford to lose almost 300 million dollars a year...
until the year 2052. That's 39 years from now, folks.

So, forget about it, and go play some games.

Re: Review: Wii Sports Club: Bowling (Wii U eShop)

Mr_Nose

Absolutely love it. Bought it as soon as my trial ran out. Played so much my arm and feet are sore ( from standing ).

I like how you can add custom pictures to your comments, and how you can jump up and spin around while spectating. Needs more of those actions, though.

I would love to see some seasonal themes on the allies, and maybe a little rock and bowl, with the lighting and music effects... Man, that would be awesome.

Re: Review: Wii Sports Club: Tennis (Wii U eShop)

Mr_Nose

I can't believe people are blaming Nintendo for lag now?!?

It's not Nintendo's fault if some people have bad connection speeds. Should they tell those people that they can't play this game? Doesn't the game just kick them anyway? Bowling does.

I've been a PC gamer for years, played quite a bit of the classics online, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Battlefield, heck even a ton of MMOs, I was addicted to EQ for 12 years. Anyway, I never saw anyone blame the game maker for lag, it was always either the hosting person's high ping, or individual players. And in this case, it is NOT the host's high ping that's the problem.
