Just wondering why write an article about mechanic which is explained in the game itself in written form and even a VR 'hands on' simulation?
Because of the reason mentioned above, I honestly didn't read the article so maybe there're some hidden gems in there and the joke's on me, but I feel like I understand this stuff just by playing and also prefer to experiment with it on my own.
I loved the early game with all the pressure of getting fixed, getting food and on top of that someone's hunting you and you have bills to pay. I never felt safe. Midway through the game though you become self-sufficient, most of the threats are eliminated and the game becomes a bit stale and by the end even boring as you mostly just wait for actions to finish with not much to do. Still the great writing, interesting stories and lovely characters kept me drawn until I've seen at least 6 endings.
Looking forward to replay this gem once some time has passed.
Happy for the Metroid series and its fans, but the number is unfortunately still very underwhelming when you compare it to new Kirby which sold 2 millions in 2 weeks.
@CharlieGirl Or maybe "I suffer at my job because I love Metroid and really want to be part of the next one and want to create something amazing and hope that people will appreciate it by buying it therefore making my work meaningful"
There are many PoVs but I understand yours. I hate CDPR's false marketing about Cyberpunk 2077 with passion and I'll never buy that game.
Ultimately it feels weird to be deciding what's right for other people who are grown-ups perfectly capable of deciding for themselves. I personally don't have the need to tell how others should live their lives or work in their jobs but that's just me I guess.
I hope they'll make 1 month subscription option as I'm interested in playing few N64 games but definitely not enought to last me a year... or even two months for that matter.
@Lyricana I'm attempting <4 hours now on hard but I don't have high hopes of actually making it. On the other had I will be happy with <8 hours as well as my first finish on normal was 9. And I will take a break from Dread afterwards
98%, two last shinespark powerups.
One is the one shown on the picture and I don't have a good plan for it yet.
The other is one in Burenia and I know exactly how to get it but am not able to to.
Is it just me or the shinespark controls are very random? I am so super inconsistent with midair shinesparks I feel like I'm missing something. On the other hand even the article mentions "Whilst in Shinespark mode it's also good to note that you can perform a midair charge by holding in 'Y'+'B' in your chosen direction. There seems to be some debate as to whether this is executed with just the 'B' button, but in our experience both are required to guarantee the move is performed exactly when you need it." which doesn't necessarily spark (pun indended) confidence.
@MS7000 I'm a bit worried I won't be able to pull these off tbh. Usually it's like "ah, this is what I'm supposed to do" and then it's just try and error until I get it right but in one instance I can't even recognize HOW am I supposed to shinespark like that... (Missile+ tank in Dairon)
The demo did not really sell me on the whole premise and I will probably not be getting the full game but boy I can't wait to listen to new soundtrack from Keiichi Okabe!

Re: Where To Pre-Order Bayonetta 3 On Switch
I can't stop laughing about how the NA link for Trinity Edition takes to you David Attenborough Party Mask.
Good one, NL!

Amazing game with such a great writing!

@Bogbupog And right after that I want to see "25 games that look better on Switch OLED in docked mode"

Re: Talking Point: Do You Have A 'Way' You Play Certain Switch Games?
I like to play my new OLED Switch handheld in the hallway as intended!
Re: Nintendo Recommends Some Games To Check Out On The Switch OLED Model
Limbo and Inside for that sweet blackness.

Re: Metroid Dread: Shinespark - How To Speed Boost And Shinespark Like A Pro
@PJOReilly In the end I was able to 100% the game but I still wouldn't consider myself consistent in shinesparking. Very tricky a confusing indeed!
Re: Review: The Forgotten City - Cloud Version - A Skyrim Mod Turned Gripping Narrative Time Loop
Tried the demo and it was too short to actually get me engaged. Will probably wait till Epic Store gives it as a freebie and might play it then.
Re: Metroid Dread: Post-Game Unlocks - How To Unlock All Chozo Archives, All Metroid Game Art, All Post-Game Content
@edgedino I doubted I could 100% the game and yet here we are. I'm certainly gonna try this

Re: Quake On Switch Now Supports Mouse And Keyboard Controls
My only argument against FPS on console (=I prefer M+K) has been brutally slain.
I'm buying this.
Re: AAA Clock Is Why We Don't Deserve Nice Things On Switch
So hyped for this! I can see this being my first game with 9999 hours played!
Re: Review: Final Fantasy VII - A Timeless RPG Classic That's Nonetheless Beginning To Show Its Age
memorable sequence (which would definitely not fly in a modern game release) in which Cloud dresses up as a woman
Is this meant as an sarcasm or did the author forget Zelda: BotW Gerudo quest? I genuinely can't tell.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 25th)
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Halo: Infinite
Re: Round Up: Here's Everything That Was Revealed In Nintendo Direct September 2021
This was actually really good Direct!
Bayo3, Splatoon 3, Disco Elysium, SW: KOTOR... there's a lot to love here.
One thing I do not understand tho is the announcements of announcements for SSB and ACNH...
Like "hey, we're announcing when we're gonna announce something". Just feels weird man.
Re: Bayonetta 3 Finally Gets A New Trailer, Out In 2022
@Aurumonado I like both (I guess Astral Chain a tad more) but I'm just so pogged for this!
Re: PlatinumGames' Hideki Kamiya: Bayonetta 3 Will 'Exceed All Your Expectations'
@moodycat What do you mean "awful". According to EDGE magazine both games are 10/10!
Re: PlatinumGames' Hideki Kamiya: Bayonetta 3 Will 'Exceed All Your Expectations'
I just replayed Bayo2 like a month agp.
And after watching the trailer I want to replay it once again.
DAMN YOU CEREZA YOU SEXY WITCH!
Re: Aspyr Is Bringing The Classic BioWare RPG Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic To Switch
I played the original back then but but back then if game wasn't Max Payne it was too boring for me.
Now that I'm older and hopefully smarter and more beautiful I wanna give it another go.
I'm actually more interested in this one rather than the PS5 remake.
