It was so broken they didn't even bother to send review codes. Instead of delaying the launch, which they should have done, they marched on and let people fund their effort to complete the game by releasing it in an unplayable state. Did I get that right?
80-90% docked. I have a second dock at work to play on my monitor, so even though I take it on the go almost every day I still dock it. Handheld is reserved for movie night when the kids pick something awful!
Picked it up after getting some eShop gift cards, figured it won't go on sale for a while since it's only on Switch. Great game but a bit short. I normally hate voxel graphics but the vibrant colours in this one just clicked. The depth of field thing can be annoying but reduced the higher you tilt the camera and gone when indoors. Some of the platforming is a bit frustrating but not impossible feeling. My 13 year old daughter who likes the exploration and puzzles of Zelda, but not the evil/combat, has really taken to The Touryst. I finished it with 94% on the first run and immediately started it over to 100% it on the second. My saved game is on the island with the arcade, I imagine I'll pop in there every now and then to try and one up my high scores.
Not a huge fan of voxel graphics but there's something about this one that just looks good; the combination of colour, lighting and depth of field that works well. Definitely grabbing this one when it goes on sale unless I finish my backlog...
Waiting for Breath of the Wild during the Wii U days has made me lose most of the excitement I had for new games in development. Every announcement that upped the excitement was later met with disappointment and delay until the game basically released on a new platform. I'm not holding my breath for MP4 or BoTW2 but will be excited when an actual release date (not year) is announced. Until then I'll just enjoy what we actually have available to play. That said I was really disappointed that Nintendo did not release a Zelda game exclusive to the Wii U and will be just as disappointed if they do the same to this version of the Switch.
Completely unacceptable. Buying a physical copy should get you a running version of the game without needing any downloads. Many people buy physical to have the game many years later, when servers are not available to download the needed files the cartridge becomes useless. I will only buy this if they update the cartridge capacity to include the entire game.
I would only buy this if it runs well in both docked & handheld. They would also have to recall the crudy physical copies and replace them with proper ones; a physical game needs to run standalone so that in 5+ years when you can't download the patches it can still be played reasonable well.
@Dazza The campaign on KS looks to be a huge success and once it ended they rolled things over to Indiegogo where it's doing really well too; the price is up a bit but now includes shipping. It should be noted that they have been doing revisions based on their own quality control but also listening to backers and in some cases incorporating those ideas into the design; if not in the production stage now they will be very soon. I liked the idea of taking my console to work for lunch time play but didn't realize just how much it would get used as a portable so I'm really looking forward to the additional grip and an awesome carry case for my Switch; hoping to have it in hand before Christmas.

Re: Hardware Review: Game & Watch: The Legend Of Zelda - A Link To Link's Past
I'm a huge Zelda fan but kinda meh on this. If it had Link to the to Past instead of Zelda II it would have been an insta-buy.

Re: SoulCalibur VI Producer Still Not Sure About Porting The Game To Switch
After botching things up with Metroid I think they're just sore losers.
