The first big 3DS title of 2012 hits North America today, as Resident Evil Revelations reaches stores across the continent.
It's not just the biggest 3DS game of the year so far, it's one of the best titles to hit the handheld since release, scoring a 9/10 in our Resident Evil Revelations review.
Don't forget the game has full online co-operative play with RAID mode, so feel free to organise matches in our Online Gaming forum.
The game also supports the Circle Pad Pro add-on, so check out our Circle Pad Pro review to see if that's worth your money, too.
If you've got the game already, let us know what you think in the comments section below.

No thank you. Why would you even play horror games? Anyway, I'll stick to the nice games instead.
@1 you play them because they are fun! Just like any other game.
I'm off for the next two days so I guess this release is perfect timing.
To each their own! Me, I'm excited, but I pre-ordered this game, so I wouldn't have to worry about rushing to the stores. I'm pretty busy this week, anyway, so consider it a weekend present for me.
No thanks. And what @1 said. They're not enjoyable to me at all. And I hated the demo. It's...gross.
@Portisanta
...because some people like to be scared? Lol, how can you even say that? That's the same reason people watch horror movies or ride roller coasters. It's common sense that a lot of people find stuff like this thrilling.
With that said, I hear from fans that it actually isn't that scary compared to other RE games, so I'll probably pick it up.
@5.
yer this one isn't very scary.
i'm in the uk and i've already got it XD
just picked it up a couple minutes ago, spelling mistake and all.
"Why would you even play horror games?"
Because when they are done right they bring an intensity that other game genres cannot provide. I personally think horror games are scarier than movies.
i got mine, and this is the first time i've seen a club nintendo code with a third party game. thats a nice bonus.
I got it yesterday with Circle Pad Pro. I really really like it. I finished all Resident Evil games and this one is really really good. I would easily say it's even better then it's 5th instalment.
And yes, I play with Circle Pad Pro which I found very usefull and cool, despite its look obviously. It's strong 9/10 so far.
I really want to get this and Tekken 3D Prime which comes out next week. A nice month for 3DS games imo.
I am going to get a Nintendo 3DS Ice White next Friday and I am getting this as my first game!
I'm so excited!
i must admit that the demo gave me some jumpy moments, but...
i wonder if the multiplayer is all worth it.
is it better than the other RE ?
Can't wait for you guys (Americans) to get on-line on RAID mode! I'll finally have some competition in fighting for highest rank on Abyss Difficulty ;0)
Side Note: It's not a scary game at all. There is only TWO parts which are creepy. One of them is near the very end.
Going to pick up my copy, that I pre-ordered around my birthday last year. XD
I played the demo and god does it look pretty.
I need to wait for a few weeks before I can get this game.
Just got my copy, but honestly the free 3ds case is a joke. Just a really flimsy piece of plastic. But it does have a 3d image on it. Anyway my has the typo and I am not returning it!!!!! I will sell it on ebay for $300 give or take a few (Muwahahahahahahahahahhaahah)
@KAI7321 yea i will play wut is your 3ds friend code?
After playing already 3 episodes so far of RE: Revelaitons (typo intended) I honestly love the game.. The CPP though is exactly what I expected. "Nicely made secondary Circle Pad and Bumper Triggers ." (with also that 2nd R button of course.) Not the clicky loud buttons like on a DSi system. Will keep this game for a VERY long time.
Didn't get the game today but I did get the CPP! While I prefer aiming with the Gyro, the CPP does offer a comfortable grip. No cramps from long play sessions! and it feels better than holding the system itself
Got it at bestbuy today!
@Portisanta Because everyone here isn't a 12 year old -_-.
I'm buying this just for the typo. I won't even remove the plastic wrap.
Who else got is just for the typo?
I mean, I was going to get it anyways, but the typo made this a day one buy. Way too rare of an opportunity to pass up. I'm going to play it anyways.
Hopefully I get it today xD If anyone gets it today, Let's play on Raid Mode
@KAI7321So will I if I get it today, My friend code is 2836 0100 3456 Let me know yours.....
hot damn sold out everywhere i went today but i manage to get the last copy in stock at amazon.ca so whewwwwww now to await the game in my apartment mailbox lol
I got it...mispeeled and all!
when playing the demo i realized that capcom probably wasn't very concerned about making this game scary. silent hill has had this series beat in that area for a long time. it's a shame, because that would have put this game over the top for me. it's still very appealing, but not because of the scare factor. hoping silent hill will come out in 3d someday!
Just got my far superior "Revelaitons" edition of the game. Now to find time to play it.
I ordered mine today, but it won't arrive until the 17th, more or less.
@Katernity
Thanks for the info. That would not have been a deciding factor, but it is a cool bonus anyway. It seems Nintendo is determined to promote this game: the demo, the coins and an Iwata Asks column.
I picked it up today! The best RE sence the remake of RE1! Still looking for some classic zombie in this game tho :-/
Went in to Wally world today, saw this in the display case, I ask the clerk, "Can I get that one?" He takes it out and I move on to check out.
As I look at my newly bought game and I am about to drive away, a red light allows me to check out the side of the game case. That's when it hit me, "This is a "fixed" copy!?"
I walk right back in and tell the guy to exchange it. The clerk that just sold me the game asked me, "what's wrong with it?" I respond with "There is nothing wrong with it, that's the problem!" Looking at me with a weird look on his face, he grudgingly walks to the display to get me another one. I tell him to take them all out.
The guy obviously starting to get mad, takes all the games out. He then tells me, "Which one do you want?" I told him, "none of these." After that, his co-worker, having a good laugh, walks over and tells me "I know what you are looking for."
The guy walks away and comes back moments later with my "Revelaitons" copy of the game. The guy obviously knowing what I wanted in the beggining just takes it all as a joke. Needless to say, I got what I wanted with a nice comedy to go with it, and of course I can't go back there any time soon. True story.
@38: As someone who works in retail I can say: You're an @ss!
I would have refused you the sale then asked you to leave the store.
Currently in line at Gamestop buying it....wow this is a long line

want it. typo won't make it worth anything, but the demo was so good that I almost can't resist. It's unfortunate that it doesn't have any regular "zombies" (does it?). It's weird that they totally let go of trying to make it actually scary. The original RE only needed some good sound effects and dead people popping out and it was really scary. Is it that hard to just have more silent, creeky moments to add some real scare?
Anyway, It's so impressive I'll get it for the fun, and the 3D was really amazing once I saw that you can crank it up in the options.
"What're ya buyin'?"
can some one tell me what RAID mode is plz is it full campaign co–op?
Got my copy today (typo case FTW) and it's better than I thought it would be. It is really addicting and I haven't even started Raid mode yet.
@43 no Raid mode is small sections from the story where you get from point A to point B. It can be done alone or with a partner.
I bought it on release in Europe. Haven't played it much due to a little gem I found called Chrono Trigger, but it's definitely going to be the next one.
@38 I think that was a pretty rude thing you did, honestly. You should have asked the clerk from the start, "Do you have any of the misspelled copies left?" Or at least said something like that, rather than just waste the clerk's time.
Got it a while ago, abosolutely awesome title thus far!
@38. Like we say in my country: we wouldn't allow that in English either, I'm afraid — TBD
@Portisanta: just how sheltered are you? I love Kirby, Mario, et al. as much as the next guy (I'm assuming those are "nice" games), but horror in gaming (and in all other forms of media, for that matter) has a rich history. You don't have to like them, but any real gamer would accord the genre a little respect. Some of the greatest games of all time have been "horror" and for all of that to be dismissed so snobbily leads me to believe one thing...
@Nintendoftw is right: you are 12.
@CerealKiller: How incredibly rude. If you'd deigned to tell him exactly what you were looking for from the jump, he probably wouldn't have gotten mad — as someone who works in retail myself, I can tell you for a fact that (a) we're not psychic, and (b) if you're straight with us about what you're looking for in an item, we'll do the best we can to accommodate you. I'd watch out if I were you, because karma's quite the female dog, if you know what i mean >:[
I don't think Cereal is being cerious. They don't have 'fixed' copies out in the wild yet, do they?
2 days had passed and still no available stock of RE:R here in Philippines. Argh! Its very annoying! I want to play it already!
