I just sold my PS3 and Vita. I bought a 2DS and I am going to buy a Legend of Zelda Wii U. I couldn't find good games on Sony, unless, I wanted to hear/seeing swearing, gore, and sexually explicit stuff. These game are the kind of games I missed.
@LDXD I miss the sports aspect. I am a big sports fan, I like playing sports games more than RPG's like Mario and Zelda. I would pick NCAA Football over Mario and Zelda. If Nintendo doesn't have the support of EA, I will give it till the PS4 comes out. If Wii U doesn't pick up I will jump ship to PS4, and sell my Wii U.
Well, duh..... N can't put all their faith in a gimmick and think it will sell two consoles in a row. This Gamepad scares none gamers away from the Wii U. I don't see people buying this like they did the Wii. With the Wii hospitals and assisted living places used them for therapy and exercise. I mean doctors know of the Wii, not gonna happen with the Wii U. I think N took a step back, they were trying to give us better graphics, but forgot about games. I am tired of all the promises. I am actually on the fence of making this a dust collector or sell this. I have seen the future and its Sony. I just don't know yet if I will sell or make it a dust collector. I did just order Need For Speed, Madden, and NBA Wii U so maybe this will get me through.
@CliffordB At that time It seemed like a good idea; selling my PS3 to get a WII U. This was like in March. Kind of wish I didn't. N is kind of boring me right now, maybe when Wind Waker comes out it won't be so bad.
It would really stink if we had to wait 2 years for GameCube games on the Wii U Eshop. A year or two for 64 and when the console is ending and starting Wii Me or what ever the next next gen will be they will announce Game boy advanced. I mean they had how long to make the Wii U and they did not have the Eshop right away. They should have had all the prior ones available on Eshop, instead of having to by them in Wii mode and having to then buy an old classic controller. I don't know if Nintendo will be able to compete with promises when the PS4 and the One will be out in 6 months. N has a lot of stuff to do before then I just don't know if they can by their release dates. The virtual console has been out over a month and two Mario games and 0 Zelda games. Nintendo sells Nintendo with its major titles like Mario and Zelda, not Kirby, Kirby is a fun game but 4 have been released of Kirby. There have been a few Mega Man games, this is not how you sell stuff N. How fair is this I sold my PS3 to get a WIi U I was excited for all these things they have not delivered in 7 months of their rule as only next gen. Give us a reason to want to buy things, I don't care about of well in 2 years we should have a Zelda Wii U besides Wind Waker, Super Smash U, Mario Kart U. 2 years PS4 and One will be in it's prime when N wasted its time with promises. I really like N, I just don't know how this will work, again.Sooner or later N has to fulfill its promises otherwise people will go to Sony or Microsoft, where for one they get sports games every year and every sport. N should try to get the sports like they used to. They should get NCAA Football, NHL, MLB. The only ones we get are Madden and NBA, and Madden is skipping us this year.
Can't wait for Pikmin, Mario and Zelda. I wonder how they will make do with the gamepad for Windwaker? Maybe draw the map of where to go while sailing and for the Tingle Turner.
I have been thinking you know why Nintendo doesn't like emulators and ROM's? They don't make any money off of them, even though the Eshop is basically a emulator and as is the virtual console, while the games are ROM's. Nintendo can't stand it so much that they ended up using them. Nintendo is funny, messing with ROM's could end you up with a 100,000 dollar fine. Ouch
Wii U another disappointment for a week. I think though I might buy a 3DS, Oracles and the other Zelda games on the 3DS look cool, as does Animal Crossing and the obvious Ocarina Of Time, and hopefully operation moon fall will succeed with Majora's Mask 3DS.
Nintendoland, Super Mario 2, Super Metroid, and Harvest Moon Magical Melody. But I do have a busy weekend now that college summer school has started so who knows.
Yea, I beat Twilight Princess and intend to get Skyward Swords. I also do have Harvest Moon Magical Melody which I played a few times. I think backward compatible is a big selling point for a new console.
@Williaint I know elementary and younger playing COD, do you want your kid to hear all those swear words at that age, or or do you want your kid playing a game made for 18+? I know parents that say that their kid is mature at that age so he/she can play rated M games if they want. This is the reason I sold my PS3 and bought a Wii U, it because there are very few games that are family friendly on the PS3, PS3 though does have more then Xbox, while Nintendo has the most.
I don't see why Nintendo needs to compete with XBox 1 or PS4. Nintendo makes different kind of games, they make more family friendly while XBox 1 and PS4 should just be competing in a graphics race, with all the realistic blood and gore. Nintendo attracts more family friendly type of people that want to play games where you play Nintendo games like LOZ, Mario, and, Pikmin Sony and Microsoft specialize in violent games like COD or god of war where besides the blood and gore you hear the f bombs or any other swear word, or even sexual stuff.
This was a great game, I had it. I did not even know Mario Kart 64 existed back then. I was like 8 or 9. I really hope this comes out on the WIi U virtual console.
The PS4 controllers if they have a touchpad on them and you need 4 of them, they will get really expensive. On the other hand you can get controllers for the Wii U for 30. I have a feeling once people see what the other system are like and how much of a good deal the Wii U is at 300 dollars, people will start crawling to the Wii U.
@Midnight3DS The email I sent them I brought up all the games that are not available like Harvest Moon 64, Star Wars Racer, Pokemon Staduim's, Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Leaf Green and Fire Red, I also brought up LOZ Oracles too, and they got announced within a few weeks of my email. Not saying I had anything to do with that but it's cool they actually responded with literature. I found though the virtual console and the eshop is pretty much the only thing they can talk about. I tried asking about Animal Crossing last year after E3 and they didn't say much.
dragon_rider I brought up a similar thing to Nintendo. I asked them if your defense of emulators is the virtual console, what about the ones not on there, are they fair game? Also I brought about making games available to buy on phones. Here's what they said.
"Hello, Thanks for contacting us. Having spent much of my childhood playing on the older Nintendo systems myself, I can see why you would enjoy being able to purchase digital versions of all of your favorite games from past systems directly through Nintendo. I completely understand why you think making software for computers and cell phones would be a smart move for us to make. We've found, however, that by having our developers focus solely on maximizing the power and capabilities of our own systems, they can create the best gaming experiences. Our game development will continue to exclusively support Nintendo hardware. I also want to assure you that your comments will be added to our records for the Nintendo eShop and made available for other departments at the company to use as they see fit.
While it sounds like you understand the issue behind using emulators, I feel that it is important to point out that Nintendo does not support the use of emulators. In fact, software (also known as ROMs) downloaded from the Internet to then be played on another device via an emulator is illegal. Because the main purpose of video game emulators is to play illegal copies of games, Nintendo considers it a form of piracy. In addition, Nintendo does not grant permission to download or use ROM's legally.

Really? Obviously Nintendo doesn't want their system to succeed. They have only gave one good game on the virtual console and that was Super Mario World. It has been 3 weeks and no Legend of Zelda. ):
My only question is why there isn't better games if they want it to succeed. It has been 2 weeks there is now 10 games and only one is worth downloading, besides Kirby it is Super Mario World.
Wind Waker had the coolest characters. I loved the fact you could get 99 bombs and 99 arrows, I remember first seeing that you could get that many, it was exciting news. Wind Waker I think was the game I played through the most, what I mean is the side tasks, they were actually fun in that game. I believe I found the most heart pieces too, ugh I can't wait till it comes out. I agree the music was amazing, I mean in the forest haven concert. The more I write the more I get excited. I never was able to use the tingle tuner, I hope the gamepad will be used for that, or better yet the 3DS.
I hope Star Wars Racer 64 comes out for Wii U. I will probably play Super Mario World, Kirby Adventure, Mario Bros U or Nintendo Land. The last two because I might have some people over and those are fun games to play multiple players.
They had good games on the Eshop for the 3DS in the beginning. Why not the Wii U? I remember they had Legend of Zelda Links Awaking and Super Mario Land week one. Why don't they give us those callable of games? I have been playing Nintendo games since NES, I could care less about theses minor titles. They should have came out like a bang like the 3DS Eshop. If the 3DS Eshop and Wii U Eshop are called the same thing shouldn't they combine them? That would be something to get excited about if they did.
The Wii U will most likely pick up. Tell you the truth I do not think I have seen an ad on tv for the Wii U and I watch Cartoon Network some, mostly Boomerang, but Boomerang gets all the Cartoon Network Ad's so no I have not seen the ad's except online. The 3Ds does get quite a bit of coverage though, I think Nintendo should put out some more Ad's.
Any Legend of Zelda wold be awesome. I am still waiting for Star Wars Racer and Harvest Moon 64 to be announced. I brought this up to Nintendo of America, supposedly they will discusses it. I also brought up LOZ Oracle's and Minish Cap. Since I emailed them the Oracle's have been given a release date, lets hope for those other games too.

For me I will be playing Wind Waker, Pokemon Y, Madden Wii U, and ESPN Sports Connection.
Re: Mythical Pokémon Diancie Confirmed for X & Y
If you would have told me of Pokemon like this 15 years ago when I was playing Red I would have thought you were crazy.
Re: Pokémon Moviegoers in Japan Can Receive Diancie and Darkrai
It would be pretty cool if we did get all the events they get in Japan. But I guess so as long as in America we can get the major ones it's okay.
Re: Feature: Time For a Super Smash Bros. New Challenger Screenshot Blowout
I am surprised there aren't many votes for Charizard.
