@MrGrim I tried the glitch on the second boss and broke the game. 6 hours progress down the tubes. The snake never appeared and when I go back to the room, the gorgon head is destroyed (but I didn't get his gem). For anyone trying it, don't kill the boss completely with the glitch or you'll screw up the game.
Those complaining that there are too many? Then don't buy them. You don't have to buy all metroidvanias. The cream rises to the top. Personally I love the genre. The more the merrier. Hopefully this is a good one.
Why are people calling this an endless runner? All levels are a fixed length and have a beginning and an end. They are procedurally generated from a large collection of pre-designed chunks, so all pieces are passable. I think this structure adds a lot of replayability. Watch some videos on YouTube before you make up your mind. I think this one looks great.
I was playing the first 3 sections a few nights ago with the pro controller and I was getting drift - the character I was controlling was moving down the screen on their own. I checked another game and it was fine (so it's not my pro controller).
I've been watching streams of this on Twitch for a long time now, so it was nice to finally play it. I was up until 1am last night and I got a game in before getting out of bed this morning. I got to the end of the second act too. It's tough but fair. Brilliant game. It's going to have my attention for quite a while.
I've played about 5 hours and I'm really enjoying it. I don't think you'd play it for hours on end, but it's great for a few quick runs before bed. The enemies are aggressive (and have AI - they'll chase you) which really adds to the tension. I got it for under €10 in the South African eShop and it was worth every penny. I also disagree with the review about the music - it's fantastic. I'd give this 8/10 at least.
Bury Me, My Love works better on mobile I think. You get notifications when there is a new message from Nour (sometimes hours after the previous one) so it's more 'realistic'. I'm not sure how the passage of time is managed on the Switch - the review never specified. I doubt it's as seamless as on mobile.

"A handful of hours" is rubbish. The map is huge. Really enjoying this one...

Re: Sakurai Addresses High Volume Of Sword Fighters In Smash (Again), Reminds Fans It's Not His Call
About 25% are sword fighters. You'd swear that it was the other way round (75%).
Re: Mini Review: Timothy And The Mysterious Forest - Imitates Zelda's Visuals But Not Its Gameplay
@KibouEntertainment I bought it last week and it's definitely a good 7 or 8. Looking forward to your next game!

Re: Spiritfarer Was Thunder Lotus' "Most Ambitious Launch" Ever, And There's More Work To Be Done
Wonderful game. So chill. Love it. Just the kind of game I need to wind down after a long day.
Re: Review: Waifu Uncovered - A Puerile Pin-Up Shooter That's Surprisingly Satisfying
SwitchWatch trashed it. I'd be more inclined to go with Jordan's review there.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 18th)
Neon Abyss for me. Superb. Really loving it.

Re: Review: Kunai - Pacing Problems Undermine This Otherwise Likeable Roguelike
Oh and for what it's worth, Hollow Knight had huge gaps between checkpoints, it was as hard as nuts, and yet that game is revered.
Re: Review: Kunai - Pacing Problems Undermine This Otherwise Likeable Roguelike
"The Switch is fast becoming the perfect home for roguelikes, and Kunai is in esteemed company."
Eh? Kunai isn't a roguelike. The levels are fixed and death returns to you a checkpoint. It's also a solid 8. I'm really enjoying it.
Re: Random: Activision Turns Crash Bandicoot Into An Endless Runner For Mobile
If its like Subway Surfers, I'm interested. That game has hours and hours of gametime, it was great fun and I never spent a cent.

Re: Charming But Spooky Indie Platformer Yuri Makes The Leap To Nintendo Switch
Why "Charming but Spooky"? Like Spooky is a bad thing?
Re: Review: Super Mario World - Phenomenal Platforming Perfection
10/10 every day of the week. That rating will never change for me. This is the best 2D Mario and platforming perfection.
Re: Review: Gun Gun Pixies - A Pitiful Perv-Fest That Also Fails As A Video Game
Where are the "Nintendo Life only give 8/10" moaners now? Eh? EH? EEEEHHHH?

Looks a bit bland alright. I'll look out for reviews, though. Might play better than it appears.

Re: Review: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Owltimate Edition - Still A Real Hoot Five Years On
@RupeeClock - Extra DLC included called "Rise of the Owlverlord".
Didn't really like this on PC. Probably got through about 10 levels before frustration forced me to stop. Lovely graphics and music though.

Did I really just see "DX Version Imporvements" in the trailer? SMH....
Re: Dead Cells Meets Castle Crashers In Upcoming Post-Apocalyptic Switch Game Infected Shelter
